Shahid Kapoor to woo audiences with his groovy moves in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya : Bollywood News — Bollywood Hungama

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon recently unveiled the title of their ‘impossible love story’, directed by Laxman Utekar.

Garnering much love was Laxman Utekar when he brought together Sara Ali Khan as the fun-loving Saumya and Vicky Kaushal as the beloved hubby Kapil in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and exploring yet another fresh pairing is the filmmaker and Maddock Films in their next. Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon will be seen coming together for an ‘impossible love story’ and the title of the film was unveiled just a day ago as Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Adding to the anticipation is yet another announcement which was made on January 11 about Shahid’s killer dance moves.

Starting as a background dancer, Shahid Kapoor has always wooed audiences with his dancing skills and yet again he will be seen flaunting the same in a peppy number in his upcoming sci-fi comedy. The makers Maddock Films have unveiled a look of Shahid Kapoor in an all-black ensemble set against a golden backdrop filled with lights, where he is seen featuring a dance step. The poster has garnered much excitement among fans who can’t wait to see Shahid returning in his dance avatar in the upcoming entertainer. His co-star Kriti Sanon shared her excitement in the caption saying, “Can't wait for @shahidkapoor to be back with his killer moves on the dance floor!”

Many of his fans took to the platform to share their excitement about watching Shahid Kapoor dance on the big screen. One of them reminded that it has been a decade since they have seen the actor groove and added, “After 11 years..he is coming back with his dance movesss..... Gonna be a blockbuster loading”. A fan dropped a comment saying, “I can't express how excited I'm to see Shahid Kapoor dance” whereas another one mentioned, “the wait is over , shahid the DANCER is back” .

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is slated for release during the Valentine’s week, February 9. It is expected to a unique sci-fi romantic drama between a scientist and a robot and it also stars Dharmendra as well as Dimple Kapadia in key roles.

Hello TT ji, I was reading your really old IB lbs and I saw that you wrote that Annika was one of your fav female tellywood characters (early on in the show, when she doesn't take society's bs of her so called character assassination saving Shivaay from being deemed a murderer). Made me curious, what other tellywood female characters have you been a fan of?

Oh man, I really really loved the Anika of yore. I miss her so muchhhhh right now. Oh well.

The following is by no means a comprehensive list, but just a few (lead) characters I’ve loved over the years that came to me when I received your question:

Parvati Agarwal (Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki): I always liked her best from among the leading ladies of the three big K serials (Kyunki, Kahaan, Kasautii…) Sakshi played her with this amazing strength and dignity, and she went on to be just an all-round badass as the show went on. She was my TV mom!

Zoya Farooqi (Qubool Hai): She was the draw of that whole show for me. She was so lovely and strong-willed and quirky and just… She literally lit up every life she touched. She was pure love and sunshine. I know they phased it out later, but I used to really love when they used to touch upon her interest and aptitude for technology, showing us a facet that girls aren’t really shown having in Tellywood.

Paakhi Shekhawat/Rathore (Tumhari Paakhi):  She was such a bright spirit, and so determined yet dignified in the way she fought for her position in Anshuman’s family. The sheer sweetness and brilliance of Paakhi made me overcome a show premise that I wouldn’t normally consider watching (child marriage, the hero already has a child, yet another urban/rural divide, etc.)

Aliya Ghulam Haider (Beintehaa): I was just drawn to her because she was a regular, no-nonsense forthright kinda girl who didn’t put up with bullshit from Zain, as much as she loved him. Perhaps the only female lead I’ve seen who has the most pragmatic approach to a marriage. 

Gauri Kumari Sharma (DBO/Ishqbaaaz): Reasons here. She isn’t flawless (as per my perception) but I love her, flaws and all.

For that matter, all the girls featured in Ishqbaaz, like Mallika, Tia, Saumya, Svetlana, even Bhavya to a certain extent… Other than Mallika, their characters never got due justice in the show, but I still love them. A lot.

In an investigation, Cobrapost exposes three dozen Bollywood celebrities who are ready to promote a political party by posting favourable messages on their social media accounts to help create a buzz in the run-up to 2019 elections, all for money. Among these celebs are directors, actors, singers, stand-up comedians and dancers: Noted playback singers, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Kailash Kher, Mika Singh and Baba Sehgal; actors Jackie Shroff, Shakti Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Sonu Sood, Amisha Patel, Mahima Chaudhry, Shreyas Talpade, Puneet Issar, Surendra Pal, Pankaj Dheer and his son Nikitin Dheer, Tisca Chopra, Deepshikha Nagpal, Akhilendra Mishra, Rohit Roy, Rahul Bhat, Salim Zaidi, Rakhi Sawant, Aman Verma, Hiten Tejwani and spouse Gauri Pradhan, Evelyn Sharma, Minissha Lamba, Koena Mitra, Poonam Pandey, Sunny Leonne; comedians Raju Srivastava, Sunil Pal, Rajpal Yadav, Upasana Singh, Krushna Abhishek and Vijay Ishwarlal Pawar; and choreographer Ganesh Acharya and dancer Sambhavana Seth. While we saw all these celebs succumbing to the lure of money and agreeing to indulge in this unethical and unlawful practice, there were some notable exceptions, though. When we approached Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi, Raza Murad and Saumya Tandon with our proposition, these celebs chose to go by their conscience and straightaway refused to play ball.

Representing a fictitious PR agency and taking on aliases, Cobrapost reporters approached these celebrities with a simple question: Would you be willing to promote a political party discreetly on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram? Almost all of the above celebs concurred to do it for a fee.

The party in question was, in most of the cases, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress Party in some cases. The names of political parties were used, in good faith and public interest, for narrative purpose only, and this is not an insinuation of their actual involvement in the practice. The investigation was made to expose the celebs willing to endorse a political agenda in return for monetary gains. 

As was their wont, these celebrities without blinking an eye said “Aye” to the proposition, asking for a fee which ranged from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh per message. Some even quoted a fee of Rs. 20 crore for an eight-month contract, and almost none of them said no to black money when we told them a bulk of their fee would be paid in cash.
