#I do think fandom has a tendency to course correct too hard the other direction when it comes to fanon misconceptions #I think we’re seeing that with dick is actually the angry robin #it’s just #there doesn’t have to be an angry robin #like Jason not being the angry robin doesn’t mean there’s now a cookie cutter hole for another angry robin to fit into #I think it’s fair to point out that iterations of dick was filled with vengeance for the death of his parents #I don’t think it’s fair to ultimately label him as the angry robin #because there’s too much history for that to be the case #I mean his broody angry competent leader Nightwing era was my fave #so I’m always gonna be partial to that #but idk #I know it’s hard to canonise characters with that much history #same with Bruce my other fave who has. a lot of imperfect character history is all I have to say #I think this is just a long ass way for me to say that flanderisations should stop altogether #or like #engage with the source material o(-( #negativity #ramble #no moral of the story is more balanced fandom discussions are always good #I always never knew how to end things o(-(
