No-one needs to shit on the new Saints Row, it's done it itself. 67 on metacritic, 2.5 user rating, so utterly terrible that Embracer Group's stock tanked the moment reviews became public. Outside of Tumblr, you're gonna struggle to find any opinion of the story and characters that's positive.

The fanbase -- the actual fanbase, not the people who demand the things they never intend to buy cater to them -- warned Deep Silver the game would bomb, and it did. No-one wanted a Saints Row game without the Saints, no-one wanted a story about a bunch of badly written characters that commit crime to pay off student loans while they bitch about destroying capitalism. No-one wanted a buggy left-wing power fantasy that even the vast majority of the left finds cringe-worthy and undeserving of their time.

TLDR: This is what happens when you alienate 80% of the existing fanbase to appeal to a vocal minority that were never fans and that were never going to buy the game no matter how much they were pandered to. Or: get woke, go broke.

i do wish we could fiddle with the voice more the closest one i liked was the 1st one, but i love how flat you can make the chest and the scars are a little strategically placed that make me think of top surgery scars and also not and i love it tbh i can’t w a i t

I finished Saints Row and you can really tell the people who made it. Wants a Saints row two but also wrapped it up as best they could just encase they didnt. The bitching eveyone did about this game was unwarrent.

I throughly enjoyed it, yes it felt a bit rushed at the end. But hey I cant really knock the game for that. It leaves me wanting more which a lot of games knowadays does.

What i found most interesring is that it wasn't even a big bad. It wasnt the Marashalls that you fight, or Mary who i was 100% thinking was going to fuck the Saints over. Its a guy you let in and that you wanted to share you friends with.

A bunch of misfits, 20+ year olds trying to make life suck a little less. They are family lovers first. And that something Nahuilli wanted and I found that to tell a thousand words about his character. And to feed on the Bosses fear of being inadequate and not good enough. Tells even more- JUST AUGH i could scream about the ending all day.

But also imma write a bunch of poly fic for Saints Row and no one can stop me.
