🌺沖縄（うんな）ぬ家建/建物や唐ぬ島や台湾ぬ家建んき似にぶんどー。

沖縄ぬ古（ふる）ちちぬ泥や金（かにん）どぅ多ぐ含みぶい、酸化現象し赤（あが）み染まるん。

Black clay soil from Okinawa that contains iron becomes red once it's oxidized.

沖繩黑土中所含的鐵因氧化而形成鮮明的紅色。

Traditional houses in Yonagunijima

If you have ever been to Yonagunijima or Okinawa, you might have seen these types of houses. These are the houses that Luchuan islanders have been living in since the 12th century.

The red roof houses is more common because of their resistance against typhoons and East Asian rainy season.

The house is usually surrounded by stone walls.

・Interior

Interior of these 瓦家 or 茅家 is heavily influenced by Japanese standards. The floor is usually paved with tatami, and overall the vibe resembles a Washitsu.

隅ぬ屋（ちむぬや）= hut / 下屋

どぅく = Buddhist altar / 佛壇

床（とぅが）= an alcove in a Washitsu / 凹間

地炉（でぃる）= fire pit / 地爐

家ぬ神（だぬかん）= household Kami / 家神

いばに = yard / 庭院

みなが = front yard / 前院

前袖垣（まいすんがてぃ）= stone wall at the entrance / 門口的矮牆

手足洗い石盥（てぃはんあらいいしだらい）= basin for cleaning / 鉢
