With the symbiote situation squared away, which taking on a whole underground city under of carnage symbiotes in San Francisco alone had been stress inducing, Clint didn't know what he was feeling. It felt weird to be back in New York.

A call had gone out to Katie to pack up all his stuff and ship it back out to New York. He might as well come home. Settle up back in Bed-Stuy, reclaim his home. The last time he had thought he was coming back to New York, he had been there two days before being whisked away by America Chavez to help Katie on the West Coast. He had ended up staying there.

Now he was settling back in, standing alongside with Captain America and he doesn't know how to saw that they had walked past the bar, this would be a few years ago, where Bruce asked him to kill him. Just seeing the place brought feelings that he had buried like the ghost. Being home felt like there was something inside his skin and he didn't know how to itch it out.

No, he wasn't doing alright. He hadn't seen that bar since the very day that arrowhead was passed into his hands. The years were catching up with him, had started to catch up when he kept his feet in LA for longer than a few weeks. What was going on New York? The mayor election, the symbiotes, it's all panic inducing and the only thing that's been helping him he was nightly beer buzz.

Mask it. Lie. You are fine, there's nothing building inside you, clawing your chest cause something feels wrong.

hello, hello everyone! instead of making a bunch of posts to cover all three of my rp blogs, i’ve decided to make one and then just reblog it to each one. especially since this post will apply to all of my blogs, my personal and hub blog included.

Dreams were odd when you lost your sight so young. It was not often he actually 'saw' anything in his dreams really. Mostly they tended to be audible for Matt mixed with shapes made from twisted memories with his radar vision. He used to see images, faces, when he was still a teenager but those types of dreams faded away for the most part as he'd gotten older. Not entirely and perhaps whatever remained of visual aspects of dreams made them all the more horrifying when they were nightmares. Pieces that just almost made sense, giving an utmost surrealness to anything he was able to visualize. The rest were feelings and sounds mostly. 

That early morning tore Matthew from his sleep very suddenly and he jolted up with a shout, sitting up on -- what felt like a couch, hand clutching at his chest. Labored breaths came harsh at first, heartbeat beating in his ears like drums as he blindly turned his gaze. The quick realization he was not in his own apartment was a bit alarming. It was his ears he was turning more so of course, not his gaze, picking up another sound of drums. More specifically beating that sounded like a Sousa March to him. A familiar heartbeat. With that, Matthew’s groggy mind quickly pieced together where he was, remembering who he’d been working with previous that night. 

Shuffling from another room had brought Rogers over to him quickly and Matt’s face reddened a bit at the realization he might have woken the man up. He muttered a quick apology before Steve eased his mind a bit with a “don’t worry about it. I was already awake.”

Murdock nodded and let out a slow breath, rubbing at his chest a bit. Damn. That was kind of embarrassing. This had been happening with more frequency lately, messing with what little sleep Matthew was able to manage with both a day and a night job. “Dang. We sure had a long night,” he sighed, feeling for his glasses on the coffee table.

     Freelancing had been a part of Natasha’s life for the better part of a century. In the past, she’d been less picky. If it vaguely followed what she would like to do anyway, or aligned with her general goals, she took the job. Sometimes that meant catering to somewhat unsavory people, but she needed the money to maintain her lifestyle. It wasn’t that Natasha was high society, of course, though sometimes she needed to blend in there, and that was expensive enough. Most of the time, the money went towards paying for various apartments that acted as safe houses around the world, new weapons and ammunition for private missions, and continuous upkeep on intel from a variety of sources. She had some good investments that helped her, but occasionally she was stretched pretty thing. 

     Still, a spider had to have her web. 

     Without it, she was vulnerable and that simply wouldn’t do. So she kept at it, for years and years, amassing as much as she could to ensure the safety of those she cared for. For herself, it mostly allowed her... not to die. That was enough. 

     Now, though, she was done with the song and dance, the continuous kill-for-profit cycle. She was comfortable enough, had inherited enough from people who were grateful to her, and she could take a step back. Now, she took missions exclusively if she believed they were necessary and good, and often worked for free. It was worth having the weight off of her shoulders, the extra blood off her hands. Did it negate her guilt? No, of course not, but at least it was a reprieve from who she used to be. 

     It was rare to have missions overlap with anyone else, and even rarer to not know about it in advance, but nothing could have prepared her for the sight of Steve standing in the facility she’d been infiltrating, staring down the man she’d been trying to... discipline for his various crimes. She gave him a flicker of a smile. It never did to show a full range of emotion in front of the enemy after all.

     “Could I talk you into handing him over? I have a delivery to make.”

Each and every time they went out to face a new villain there was always a chance that something could happen to them. It was just part of the territory. This time was no different; other than the fact that the villain they’d gone up against had some interesting properties that no one had told them about until it was too damn late. He’d already made certain the others were taken care of and now it was his turn to go through whatever decontamination Reed had in mind for them. For a long moment he thought about just ignoring it all. Nothing was wrong with him, everyone seemed to be handling clean up without any problems. Maybe he could just sneak away and no one would realise he’d skipped it. Not like it would be the first time he’d skipped all of it.

Sighing, Steve made his way to the small shower and ignored the signs pointing towards the decontamination area. He hadn’t been affected and it was pointless. Or at least that’s what he thought until he saw the figure standing in front of him. The last time he’d seen Crossbones had been before his death. As far as he knew the other had died. Which meant it wasn’t possible for him to be standing there in front of him. His hand automatically went for the shield to keep him from getting any further. “Reed, we’ve got an intruder.” He’d yet to take out his communication device and if Reed was still around he needed to know about their intruder. Especially as it was one he’d dealt with in the past and had hoped to never deal with again.

Reed was an explorer more than a superhero. That was what separated the Fantastic Four from the other hero teams. Sure they faced lots of catastrophic events but it wasn’t their primary objective as a team. As such, Reed wasn’t really a fan of these crisis situations but no less willing to lend a hand and try to solve this contamination that was affecting the minds people around the city. The Four, Avengers and various others had been working around the clock to solve this issue and get people sorted and the villain who caused it put away.

Approaching his friend, Reed had just opened his mouth to make a progress report on the group of affected he’d been treating with the help of Pym and Strange. He saw recognition in Steve’s eyes but also something that looked like hatred. The captain’s warning confirmed that he wasn’t seeing Reed but some sort of enemy. Richards’ rose his hands slowly as he walked closer. “Steve, your mind is playing tricks on you. What you’re seeing isn’t real. It’s Reed. I’m your friend. I need you to drop the shield and let me treat you. You’ve been affected...”

This was awkward. So awkward. Foggy had pointed out where Rogers was in the diner (more so for appearances sake than actually needing help. It was easy to tell because people here and there were whispering about him). Cane tapped against the tiled flooring as Murdock made his way over to slide into the seat across the table in Steve’s booth with a hand guiding him in. “Captain Rogers, right? I didn’t sit in the wrong seat did I?”

Before i even get into this. i just wanna say how PROUD i am of you all for continue to be true to yourselves. You are persevering through all this chaos in the world right now. trying your best to stay positive when the outlook is bleak is extremely hard and I’M PROUD OF YOU. keep up the amazing work by helping each other out , sending positivity , and overall being the rays of sunshine  i know you can be! no onto this mess. 

I’m sitting at 1100 followers. WOW.  I haven’t made one of these in a super long ass time. but i moved paul in august of last year to get a fresh start. and i couldn’t be more grateful for those that have followed on his path since his creation right after the release of Far Cry 5 in 2018. two years later he’s still developing and i’m still finding ways to make him even more lovable while still keep an air of mystery to him.  people still get conflicted about him and how they feel but that’s specifically the POINT. and i’m just glad that people seem to still love and appreciate him just as much as when i created him. I couldn’t ask for a better reaction to an OC tbh. Cause this number for an OC in such a short amount of time? it floors me and i love you all so much.

🍌 - What drew you into the fandom in the first place?

a friend of mine ( @illunaris ) had made an Alec blog, & I was writing with them on my Brock at the time. I really, really loved being reminded of the book series I had loved when I was younger, so I decided to take the plunge. I’ve rotated through a few muses, & gained & lost a few in the process, but I’m really glad for the experience because it reminded me a lot of why I loved RP in the first place, & also how much I love crossovers.

🍉 - If you considered a time travel thread, when would your muse go?

I laugh, she has an Old Guard verse that has several arcs (Ancient Greece/Rome, King Arthur’s court, Vikings era, Tudor era, 1700s POTC inspired, & 1800s Bridgerton) so I guess I could just say any of those, so easily.

🍓 - What’s your sweetest rp experience so far?

 not to be a sap on main but literally anything involving @cxpt / @bastxrds.
