I keep forgetting to write this down but one of my favourite headcanons about Crow is that because he's naturally gifted at anything that interests him and spent so much time with Vita he picked up enough magic to be fairly competent at it without Vita even noticing

Except at Thors it was imperative to not draw undue attention to himself, especially once Emma showed up, so it never came up there. During the civil war he had Ordine so no need for magic there either. During his time as Siegfried he used it to teleport but no one really realised it was him doing it and not Black Alberich and during the Twilight there was kinda always a witch or Celine around so he never felt the need to use it there

Besides he was enough of a badass with his weapons to not need magic, and Arts are a thing so why waste the energy, right?

But now, with everything over, he kinda regrets never dangling this in front of Vita's face so now he's just waiting for the perfect opportunity to really take her (and everyone else cuz he's a gremlin at heart) by surprise and have a

moment he can annoy her with for the rest of his life

The only one who kinda knows about this plan is Rean, though he doesn't know what exactly Crow wants to surprise Vita with, and when asked about it later all he does is shrug and say, "everyone needs a hobby", secretly ridiculously pleased cuz a) Vita needs to be taken down a notch every once in a while and b) Crow is excited like a kid at Christmas and if that isn't worth having to deal with the bragging he doesn't know what is

Roselia is, of course, delighted at her eldest granddaughter looking like someone smacked her with a frying pan.

Not a lot of commentary on this line, besides that they were made purely because the cold mountain I want to add to Argha doesn't have anything living in it, and that the shiny is meant to look more christmas-y.

1. Casey - Space Between

New album by an old favourite band!!! Still warming up to the new softer direction than their older stuff but I've had it on loop since it came out the other day.

3. Roselia - Dear Gleam

LOOK when I'm going thru it my brain is like. Hm idol music time. and I get no say in it. Also bandori music bangs sorry it's just an indisputable fact.

4. Vylet Pony - Paintbucket

ok this whole album too actually. im too sleepy to put into words what i like so much about the album rn but it's so catchy and listenable n as usual the lyricism goes so hard

5. Felix Lee, Ecco 2k - And the Parasite Speaks

This album carried me through like a 3 hour delay on a flight over christmas and I am NOT immune to ecco2k breathily singing. Really really good album, esp. if you're into like post-punk? is that what it's called?

Posting this list of a bunch of themes/aesthetics I’d like to see in Bandori card sets in the future, which include:

Bold are for the ones that actually came true as of 4/3/24 (the draft was made in July(?) 2023)

Cottagecore PasuPare (Aya and Eve focus more specifically)

Dark forest Roselia (Probably with Sayo and Ako/Rinko)

Cyberpunk RAS (though Roselia with that aesthetic would also be interesting)

More Fairy Tale inspired sets (like the Snow White set from Pj Sekai)

Kingdom PasuPare

Christmas/snowy Morfonica

Pirate-themed sets for the other bands (Ran Marine card counts?)

A mixed band chess set where they’re in some kind of kingdom (featuring: Chisato as the Queen, MasKING as the King, Ran as a knight, Rinko/Sayo as the rook, and Eve as the bishop)

Christmas AyaMaya (cuz why not lol)

Happy friday! It’s almost Christmas for those who celebrate, and it IS Hannukah- so happy holidays! Do you think your favorite pokemon character has any fun holiday traditions? If not, here’s a question- are they pro- or anti- ugly sweaters? Would any of their pokemon tolerate a sweater for the holidays? Stay warm, and happy friday!

Hm... I haven't given much thought to that first question (and I am incapable of narrowing down a favorite character, I have several in rotation) BUT now I'm thinking about it...

Off the top of my head I can say the Oak residence is a multicultural household--Gary and his grandfather aren't really religious but do Christmas in a secular way (because Gary isn't going to turn down an opportunity for presents, though he does start to distance himself from it as he gets older), and I've been contemplating the idea of Gary being ethnically(? I think this is the right word? I just woke up someone please correct me if I'm wrong) Jewish on his mother's side and practicing some of the traditions in her memory even though he's agnostic. Tracey is also Jewish, because every year I start listening to the Pokemon Christmas Bash album at the beginning of November and keep listening to it until January, and every year I end up thinking "why wasn't Gary invited? Why wasn't Tracey invited?" and this is how I've chosen to make sense of it. They're doing their own thing somewhere else, probably debating what is acceptable to put on latkes. The Oaks (plus Tracey, who's an honorary Oak and eventually becomes one for real when he marries Gary) and the Ketchums often end up spending time together during the holidays since both families are very small and very close with each other, and have a lot of overlapping/entwined traditions.

As for the second question! I will answer that for several different characters rapid-fire. Ash is all for it and Pikachu will tolerate a sweater (especially if bribed with food), Drew is completely unaware he is wearing an ugly sweater because of his fashion sense and Roselia wants to wear one, May suggested the sweater to Drew and is wearing one of her own and several of her Pokemon are also wearing them, Tracey managed to find both a Hanukah sweater for himself and a smaller one for Marill and Marill loves it, and Umbreon actually persuaded Gary to get them both sweaters.
