I’m not sure if I like Romeo’s characterization of a player in retj, but it does add an interesting layer to Tybalt and his motivation. Like yes, his desire for vengeance is based on romantic jealousy but it’s really important to note (imo) that Tybalt knows about Romeo’s reputation as a guy who really “gets around”.
I can’t remember if it’s mentioned in the original retj, but during the duel in Rómeó és Júlia Tybalt calls Rómeó something that means “heartbreaker” or “philanderer,” or possibly “lady-killer” (the word is szívtipró, I am unsure of the exact translation).
So, not only is Tybalt acting out of jealousy, it’s important to note that it also comes from a place of worry for Júlia. Rómeó (understandably!) has a reputation as a philanderer, so it makes sense that Tybalt would think he’s only using Júlia and will break her heart.
I don’t mean to excuse Tybalt, but it does add an interesting little layer to things.

*Note: some of these already have English translations, but they are questionable at best.

I am manifesting a bootleg of the Slovak Romeó et Juliette, there is so much going on here and I want it. Spunky Juliet! Nurse and Lady Capulet dance off! Whatever the Hell is going on with clueless jock Paris!

Juliette’s “everyday” dress is typically a reddish/orange/pink color, with burnout velvet at the bust part as well as the bell sleeves. Sometimes a short corset or bodice is added to it, but sometimes they are just worn for publicity photos for some reason.
Row 1 - Original French version 2001 (Cécilia Cara)
Row 2 - Belgian (Veerle Casteleyn, left) and the Netherlands Tour (Jennifer Van Brenk, right)
Row 3 - Russian version (Sofia Nizharadze, Еvgenia Ryabtseva, and Anna Chipovskaya)
Row 4 - French-Canadian (Ariane Gauthier). It looks like the light pink dress may actually be her nightgown, but it looks like she’s wearing it during Lady Capulet + The Nurses’ duet.

There should be a version of Romeó et Juliette where La Mort is actually just Der Tod from Elisabeth Das Musical played by Máté Kamarás.
