all of the starred drawings from jax’s draw sheet as of 6/18/2017! 

the star system is so that when their draw sheet gets full, i can remove the ones that dont have stars (because i dont like them and theyre just taking up space). i did this for all of the draw sheets but so far only jax, spook, and ajax are close to having to do that because i draw them all a metric tonne. i probably wont throw away the ones that dont have stars, i might just make a separate sheet or throw them in a ziploc or something unless anybody else has any ideas.

jax uses they/them pronouns and is a robotics engineer with a pretty shitty relationship history. their current husband (and i use the term ‘current’ loosely because currently in the main timeline theyre dead as hell and their consciousness is in ajax), sol, seems to be making history though!

i’ve changed ajax’s colour palette so it’s slightly less bland and minor-league redesigned them, so i’ll probably post them when i get the right colour and draw them with the corrections.

robotecia au where the amax project failed and the building jax and sol were working in never exploded

spook, bex and grim wouldn’t exist

but jax would be alive

and they would still have the prototype amax and the robot spider and they’d still be living with sol

and they might be able to refine the AI for amax a little more, so that instead of just being a wip they’d be a finished robo

so basically an amax bot’s eyes say a lot about the individual bot. 

for example, a normal bot will have eyes that are their accent colour, with their pupil being black.

a customized bot could have many many kinds of eyes. for example, some of the most common customizations include all-black eyes (accomplished by simply turning off the leds, shocking i know. grim is an example of this), all-accent colour eyes (dont have any examples of this one), eyes that only have an outline of the pupil while being mostly the accent colour (medbot comes to mind), or eyes that are the accent colour with a specific design (deg)

a partially corrupted bot will have pupils that are their accent colour, but the rest of their eyes will be black. a very corrupted bot will have that and also their vents will be black. a completely corrupted bot (which only happens temporarily before their programming rights itself. an instance of this is when bex ripped off spook’s arm and then immediately realized what happened and ran to ajax for help) will have all-black eyes and all-black vents. this is the result of their system going totally apeshit and just turning off all the lights. good luck telling this kind of bot from a bot that’s been customized to have all-black eyes and vents (Definitely Not A Plot Point)

fun fact: bex’s eyes are mostly black because their AI is partially corrupted! in amax bots a side effect of AI corruption is that the lights in their cheek and eyebrow vents sometimes turn off, and their eye colour sometimes inverts (i.e. black where it used to be their accent colour and vice versa). 

however, solid black eyes (like what grim has) are a result of customization. grim’s eyes are like that because all their lights are turned off, to Make Them More Stealthy

in robotecia the internet we use now is sorta archived in that no one can post on it anymore but everyone can look at everything on it im not sure why they got rid of it (im thinkin someone decided that things were quite out of hand, what with trolls and spam bots and scammers and such, and just decided that archiving it, then resetting it was the best thing to do) but it's one of jax's favourite pastimes to watch old youtube videos
