I remember I mentioning my only child Garroth complex a while back. So now explaining that!
This goes for both mcd and mystreet
Mcd-
Garroth was raised rather as an only child at least that was how he was raised after his father fell ill, Garte actually fell ill while Garroth was far younger around like 12 yrl old, before that he had free time to spend with his brothers, but after Garte had fallen ill Garroth had started to be distanced away from his brothers due to Garte not wanting existing attachments as he grew up, Garroth wasn't particularly fond of it but couldn't speak up for himself knowing it will upset their father further, Garroth had his own place in the castle where only guards, maids, and his father would come see him when needed, after a while Garroth got use to the loneliness, he barely remembers Zane or Vylad. The thing that had caused him to plan an escape was hearing rumours of Vylad's death being caused by his father which at first he didn't believe but as time went he had actually started to believe it soon as time went on
Mystreet-
Zianna and Garte had gotten divorced just a couple years after having Garroth, they ended with talking terms with Zianna visiting once and a while, after Zane and Vylad were born Zianna was far more present in Garroth's life but that didn't last long as Garte and Zianna got into a big argument that didn't end well, Zianna sends Garroth letters but Garte refuse to let Garroth see Zianna as much as it hurt him to rip her away from Garroth, he was pretty young when the argument happened he remembered the argument but he doesn't particularly remember having brothers so he was basically an only child in his own mind, Garte had to explain to him that he had brothers when he got into high School and Garroth was completely shock from that information cuz he had actually thought he was an only child

zane and vylad
(whenever i refer to the ro'meave brothers relationship with each other i mean their brotherly relationship this is not an incest post)
why is it i can make zane be mean to anyone literally anyone except for vylad,
i can write zane pranking and teasing vylad but i cannot make him be actually mean when i do it makes me really sad.....anyways garroth and zanes realationship gets a lot of attention but vylad and zane or vylad and garroths relationship doesn't get as much.
so zane and vylad relationship headcanons.
My zane and vylad relationship are very different from cannon zane and vylads.
in my rewrite if we aren't counting Janus, vylad is the person zane closest to because zane knows vylad would never hurt them. zane is also close with vylad because zane knows vylad won't push them like the rest of their family does.
they both love to play video games, when they want (or have) to spend brotherly bonding time together they play video games
their favorite thing to play is world of Warcraft
when they spend time together outside the house they usually either go to the mall because there's arcades there or they go to the movies
they like going to bakeries whenever they go they get a dozen box of cupcakes and split it
vylad often takes zanes hoodies to wear since according to vylad "Their more comfy"
zane is very very sickly (as in they have lung problems bad joint pain they also get very fatigued and there have been times where zane cant move much or at all)
because of their bad health zane has had to spend up to a few months in the hospital when they were younger though usually in pdh this is not warranted and zane usually just has to stay home for a couple of days. when this happens vylad won't leave zanes side, vylad will make sure zane drinks enough water is comfy enough and eats enough
zane and vylad tend to protective of each other mainly because they have both been bullied fairly badly
they both love to pull pranks on people especially on garroth
zane does vylads makeup and is in the process of teaching vylad how to do makeup
zane also does vylads hair
vylad carries a pair of glasses with him at all times for zane
zane and vylad like to draw together
things zane would kick someone in the balls for doing he lets vylad get away with just a stink eye
thats all sorry if some parts were a bit all over the place my brain is scrambled today

Just had a dream where Garte was Henry the eighth and I'm pretty sure Zianna was Catherine of Aragon, but instead of having 1 wife at a time he had all 6 at once and the moms kinda talked like the moms from dance moms confessionals and all, and at the end Zianna had enough of his bs and ran away w/ her sons via a horizontal zip line, and the dream ended with her saying "you no longer have a father, if anyone asks his name was silver."

MyStreet rewrite
IDK what's even happening man, I was talking with a friend today and got inspo to do… this.
so here's the first bit of me fucking with lore by establishing this little bit of lore to operate in my version. i uh, took inspo from other series when writing this, and you'll notice it when i talk about were-wolfs. in other words, uh, here ya go.
~~~~
Species; there are 3 main species, that being human, witch, and were-creature.
Were-creatures can be further divided into the subspecies of were-cats, were-dogs, and the seemingly extinct were-wolf. Other animal such as deer or rabbits are rare, but possible. They're characterized by animal-like features on a humanoid body, such as ears, tails, and backward facing knees.
Were-wolves are very rare and thought to be extinct, but their blood is known to be a key-ingredient in immortality potions. Any and all were-wolves live in secret, and are indistinguishable from were'dogs in their more humanoid form.
Witches can be characterized by their unnatural eye-color and pointed ears. Witches are the only known creature to be able to perform natural magic, though all creatures can create positions.
Family weirdness;
The Ro'meave's are a very rich and well off family. They deal with illegal potion trading, despite being fully human. They have 3 children, one of whom is a witch, and are known to be obsessed with status and appearance. They're likely dealing in were-wolf blood, though the father seems to be the face of these operations.
The Lycan's are a well off family of were-dogs and two secret were-wolves. They're very secretive and recluse, and not much is known about the family outside their jobs in law. They have 2 children, one were-dog and one were-wolf.
The Díaz's (Aphmau's family) are immigrants from the Dominican Republic, the father disappeared 1 year prior to the move, and has been assumed dead. The mother has only one child, who's a rare instance of a cross-bread; Half were-wolf, half human, and appears almost entirely human.
The Valkrum's are a well off family, the mother having passed some years prior of an unnamed illness. The father appears to be an unknown 4th species, simply called warlock. There is 1 child, who appears to be a human with an affinity to magic. Whether the child is also a warlock is unknown.
So co-author were briefly talking about the fact that Garroth has a british accent (which we've decided that british accents are just O'Khasis accwnts in this universe) but Zane doesn't. We decided that this is because Zane actively hides his accent but it still occasionally slips through when mad.
Garroth and Zane in MCD is so funny because imagine you live in a small town, so small that everybody knows everybody. And then this guy shows up who wears a full face tactical helmet all the time, and just goes by the name William. No last name or anything, just William. And he becomes this well known person who is close to the town’s mayor despite being very mysterious.
But then suddenly the mayor is assassinated for some reason (who assassinates a mayor in a town that literally no one knows?)
So everyone assumes this William guy will run for mayor because he took it upon himself to handle all the town’s matters after the mayor died, but he refuses. Like he gets genuinely upset whenever someone mentions it. And the guy is still wearing the helmet 24/7, by the way.
So then the town just?? Doesn’t have a mayor?? And so William is running around doing everything until this random person with amnesia arrives and takes over.
Then one day two people from your town is getting married. The bride’s mom hires this priest to officiate the wedding and it’s… Prince Harry?? Like literally the freaking prince from England??
And your like “that’s a bit overkill for this small town wedding but ok”
But then Prince Harry is like “that William man must reveal his face or else I can’t be here”
But William refuses and so he just doesn’t go to the wedding.
So Prince Harry officiates the wedding, and then unexpectedly William arrives, and it’s… Prince William?! The whole time the weird guy who wears a full face tactical helmet 24/7 that’s been taking care of your small town is the first born son to the king of England??
And throughout the whole night the two brothers are just giving each other the stink eye.
OOUHGU IM THINKING ABOUT THE RO'MEAVE SIBLINGS AGAIN AND MAKING IT YOUR PROBLEM
Garroth had the most of Garte's "good side" growing up, and as he was their only child at the time, Garte and Zianna favored him. He learned kindness and empathy from his mother as she stroked his hair at bedtime; He learned responsibility and loyalty from his father as the king told him of the future in store for him. He learned love from them. But then his father changed. Garroth learned to protect from his mother, standing in front of her when Garte yelled, just in case. He learned to sacrifice from Garte, complying with the king's many demands and rules "for the good of his people."
Vylad was born into a cold world. Garte treated him well at first, letting the child ride on his shoulders throughout the castle. But that candle of love was snuffed without remorse soon enough. In the end, from his father, he learned hatred and disgust. He had to hide from it. Yes, to hide away and be invisible, that's what he must do to survive. Survive. Survive. Survive. That's all that matters. But.. this cold world was not without comfort. In his mother's arms, he learned pity. Pity for the woman cursed with compassion and pity to all the bleeding hearts before and after her. He learned fairness from his older brother Garroth, who never saw him as lesser or wrong. Finally, Vylad learned that the cruel machinations of the world favored the strong over the good, as he plummeted into the depths of hell.
Zane, perhaps, was doomed from the start, being the young and malleable last son of Garte. Once his brothers died, there was no light that could combat the darkness weaving its way into his soul. Oh, Zianna tried to hold on to him; but Zane had already learned so much from his mother. She could not keep her own children alive. She could not protect them, protect him, as much as she liked to pretend her arms were a shield. She could not love him the same way she did his brothers because she was weak. Zane did not care when his brothers died. He didn't cry when he realized their shared bedroom would be silent forever. He never stared at the empty, faded spot on the wall where the family portrait used to be. Those emotions were useless, as his Father taught him. Zane learned how to get power; to invoke fear; to be a leader; to manipulate; to crush all those in his way without a drop of blood on his hands from Garte. The infallible High Priest, the benevolent leader of the Jury - that is Prince Zane Ro'meave.
the ro’meaves have a family group chat where they send each other their nyt game scores (wordle, connections, etc) and that shit gets HEATED
they get into debates about who cheated when in reality some of them are just better at it than others
there’s no good fake group chat creators but like:
“he cheated for sure”
“i literally didn’t??”
“no, i’m going to have to second this one”
“you guys are sick for this”
thinking abt vylad ro'meave. the youngest child. illigitimate son, result of an affair, dead to the world in life and after. he isn't even named by his brothers when they speak of him, only called "youngest brother". living and dying in the shadows, silent and separate. separate from his family, who have no idea of his fate, and separate from his fellow undead shadow knights, moving in quiet rebellion. his whole life has been quiet rebellion, the odd piece of a puzzle he was not made to fit into. he is the first person we meet in the story, but he remains a mystery longer than anybody else.
I think garroth was the golden child, vylad was zianna’s affair baby, and zane was the child who was supposed to “fix” the family. it never worked, of course — so garte decided just to fixate on garroth, his “perfect” son who came before everything went wrong, and began to heavily favourite him and emotionally neglect the other two. zianna fixated on zane, obsessed with the idea of fixing her marriage and their family as his birth was supposed to do, showering him with attention and affection. both leaned away from vylad because he was a reminder of what nearly broke their marriage, made even worse by the fact that he resembles his biological father rather than zianna or garte.
more under the cut !
garroth realised the way things were first, and tried to at least maintain his relationships with his brothers the best he could. he would do his best to shift attention off of himself to vylad. like when his father would congratulate him for making the baseball team at school, he would say “thank you! hey, did you know vylad did [x]?”. garte never cared and it just made vylad feel worse, even though garroth had good intentions.
vylad obviously suffered as the forgotten middle son, and doesn’t even bother to contact his parents after he moves out — he would have wanted to keep in contact with zane, but he hated vylad. garroth is the only one who still has contact with vylad into adulthood. he would be able to get away with much more than garroth or zane when he was a kid cause his parents never cared about what he had going on. they were lucky he was just sneaking out to meet up with friends rather than. idk. doing drugs or some shit.
zane hated vylad for ruining the family, influenced by how zianna would use him as a therapist when he was younger, and he hated garroth for being the favourite between both their parents. he realises as he becomes an adult vylad nor garroth were actually at fault, but it was their parents’ fault. any misbehaviour that he did exhibit during childhood zianna would baby him through, and he slowly started to resent her too.
zane does his best to repair his relationship with garroth when they’re adults, but as he’s not in contact with vylad, he can’t do much there. even worse, he’s horrible at admitting when he’s wrong, so when both his brothers are in town he doesn’t voice his feelings.
and vylad goes on believing that zane still hates him. but he kind of comes to be at peace with his lifestyle without most of his family and doesn’t care all that much.
Zane's health
i'm going to write about Zane's health when was a infant and a child because it will give some insight to Garte's actions in some of my rewrite
Zane was born 3-4 months early and was not expected to survive since Zane's lungs were to weak to breath properly.
for the first four months of Zane's life he was in the hospital, after the four months Zianna and Garte were aloud to take Zane home but they come back at minimum twice a month to monitor Zane's health
Zane was also born with very very weak joints, it was so bad that Zane's bones would dislocate if Zane moved the wrong way.(this has gotten much better at the time of pdh)
Zane was born with very weak muscles. this made it very hard for Zane to move when he was younger, at times if Zane's muscles were strained enough it would be nearly impossible for Zane to move.
When Zane was five his lungs collapsed and he was on life support. the doctors told Zianna and Garte that it was a one in a million chance of Zane recovering and it would be best to unplug him, Garte refused to let his child die and decided to look for "different" ways of helping Zane and eventually. Garte friend and next door neighbor Zack introduced Garte to someone who help Zane.
after the "doctor" helped Zane he was back to normal . Zane continued having "sessions" with this "doctor" and Zane's health improved, Zane stilled had the same problems but instead of having to be confined his bedroom and not being aloud to go outside incase he passed out or had another health problem he could now leave his room, play with his brothers and play outside he just had to be careful.
the health problems never went away Zane still could not overwork his body in fear of having to the hospital. no sports, no dancing(Zane loves dancing) and no straining activates. (Zane at times has to use a cane or a wheel chair. Mainly a cane)
Do you know who the "Doctor" is?
Jessica only made garroth and laurance dicks at the end of season 2 + season 3 because she had no idea what to do with them unless they were madly in love with her. But I know what to do with them. Give them to me.
Sad Zianna headcanon:
She was 16 when she was forced to marry Garte, who was 29. And she had Garroth at 17.
Zianna was the daughter of the lord of O’khasis, and also his only child. Garte offered a lot of money to marry the lord’s daughter and he accepted.
And and and: about a year or so after Garroth left, they had another child. A daughter named Eloise. Garroth never knew about her until he found his mother in prison and she told him they had his sister in another cell. He was understandably shocked. She is almost 18 after the 15 year time skip and was 3 before. Garroth lived in Phoenix Drop for about 4 years before the time jump.
Zane, obviously, knew about their sister but said nothing to Garroth during his time in Phoenix Drop.
