Story time!

Riverdale keeps showing up on my dash (mostly thanks to Clarice aka @youre-only-gay-once) and the plot is lookin' absolutely fucking unhinged, cause let's be honest nobody makes em' like the CW. The final straw that broke the camel's back was:

The CW just causally bulldozed the 4th wall while playing 5D queerbait chess so I went to Clarice's blog and had this lovely convo.

And so this blog was spawned.

Some quick info dump and housekeeping:

I have previously watched the show up until I think early or half way though season 5 and remember some/almost all of that. But for the sake of consistency I will skim the earlier seasons.

I am pirating it all out of sheer spite and consistency. So bare with me if I'm a little late to everything even though soap2day is pretty fast when it comes to acquiring new seasons.

If asked about shipping (discourse) I will simply, firmly say "no :)" and try sell you my "they are all in a polycule" propaganda while pushing the agenda.

This is done mostly for shits and giggles and a genuine interest in wtf is going on with the plot but I will not apologise if I some how end up falling head first into this hellish rabbit hole and getting emotionally attached to these characters.

Yes, I know this show is objectively horrible, but it is a CW brand of horrible so if watched through a certain lense (known as the "everything is as I want it" lense or the "everything is gay and poc despite the homophobic and racist network lense" popularised by Supernatural) it becomes an incredible show with an amazing and frankly hilarious fandom. Also I love trash media because I am a trash media raccoon/connoisseur 😋😊.

Riverdalenatural will be featured heavily on this blog just because.

alright i’m just gonna say it. i think you’re all wrong i don’t think jack got dean into riverdale i think it was the other way around!! i am SURE dean lifted archie comics as a kid and read them in the motels while waiting for j*hn. and sammy would try and grab em to read and like with everything, dean would just hold the comic straight up in the air out of sammy’s little reach (of course this approach stopped working when they got older) and be like. i’m the one who got it for us and i’m older so i get to read it first!! but it would just end with dean reading it and sammy sitting kinda next to/behind him reading over his shoulder and getting >:( when dean turned the pages faster than he could keep up. so when dean hears they’re making a show about archie comics he’s excited! and it’s for jack’s age group! depending on what you think his age group is but. it means they can watch tv together which is a nice and passive way to spend time with your son who is also the antichrist a little bit. anyway and they watch the first ep together and dean is like. oh.. oh no.... but jack is !!! :3 about it and so dean has to keep watching every goddamned week and he complains about it but obviously he’s as into it as jack is because he loves shitty soap operas
