Hi I just finished reading "Death and the Maiden" and it was SO GOOD. I know you literally JUST finished writing that but please tell me there will be more fics about Maiden? Because like. I love her and I think she deserves it ahaha.

Hello hello sorry for the late reply!! Sadly I don't have any other plans for the Maiden right now. I know most people would probably want to see her freed, and even though I knew from the outset that wouldn't be the case, I left a couple lines in there to imply she might have earned her freedom :)

I had a very specific set of themes I was committed to with her in particular, but if this was a different story, I would have 100% left it ambiguous if she went with Konahrik or not, if not outright having her go with him. I think a very interesting story could have been had there. Alas, maybe in another universe haha

Anyway, here is the reason it took me so long to reply. The alternate ending where self-indulgent brain go brrrr

Her dragon priest mask's name would probably be Vahdin ('Maiden') because I Am Very Original and I like the sound of it, but Sahvot ('Faithful') or Vokoraav ('Blind', lit. 'un-seeing') are good candidates as well.

I haven't posted anywhere an outline for the AU, mostly because I am still brainstorming ideas. I have a little bit of plot for it, but for the most part it's just a fun little AU that takes place in a weird post-NWH multiverse. I do plan to have some other characters like Otto, the Peters, and even a couple that never saw the light of day like Raimi!Lizard and Raimi!Strange. Also some elements from Into the Spider-Verse and the Spectacular Spider-Man TV show, and maybe some Daredevil as well ;) But as I said it is still very nebulous and I am kind of just drawing whatever I think would be interesting haha

As for the Erlkönig poem, it's kind of an honorary name-only thing as the poem content isn't really related to the AU in any way. I was researching folklore and the figure of the Erlking seemed like it evoked the sort of otherworldly, mysterious king of the goblins energy I needed, only with less David Bowie. The main inspiration for the AU was my love for the Spider-Verse design of Goblin in all his three minutes of screentime, and the thought of "wouldn't it be cool if Willem Dafoe turned into a horrible monster?"

For Shenandoah I think it'd be really sick if there was mutant kudzoo in some areas. It's already an insane plant that grows over everything without radiation making it worse. I'm not sure if it would just be a cool set piece or an actual danger to the average wastelander, but I think it would definitely stick around after the apocalypse--it refuses to die.

ohhhh yes i have seen this alongside many a highway!! i do not know yet if it would be a danger to wastelanders on its own, but under those leaves are the skeletons of trees it has killed, leaving ample room for other things to hide...

Welp your Smoothclaws are an incredibly cool concept design! Great art work the Silent Passing art piece gave me a chill when I saw it! I'd definitely love to do something and meet one with my character one day! *in some kind of safe way...* lol

I adore your Fallout: Shenandoah AU!! (and I love seeing the bluegrass references! I never see anyone else make them -- online at least) I planned on making my own local Fallout AU set in the region of Appalachia in which I was raised, eastern KY. I was going to call it "Fallout: Esculapia," after the defunct mineral spring and also what the local hills are referred to as in Lewis County.

aaaaaa thank you!! yes I was born and raised in central Virginia and moved away just recently, and I am missing my home state :’) It’s one of the most historically rich states in the entire country, which makes for many many interesting possibilities when it comes to post-nuclear society. (I am lowkey constructing an entire game’s worth of lore around it, complete with companions, multiple endings and dlc adventures, just you wait)

Su’um ahrk morah. Have you drawn any Skyrim art?

I’ve only drawn two pieces for Skyrim, here and here, though I really need to draw more. My Dragonborn might be a Stormcloak, but that doesn’t stop her from arguing with Ulfric on a pretty regular basis. I also have to draw my reaction to (accidentally) discovering the Shivering Isles when I first played Oblivion, because it was pretty memorable.
