So I was having some John Gaius thoughts

I pity him because he likely constantly makes meme references that no one understands, which would suck! But also, for the first while of the resurrection, as he brought back the others, he was surrounded by the ghosts of those he once knew. In Harrow the Ninth, he says something about how the old Augustine would hate him how he is now. So he was surrounded by these people who looked exactly like those he once knew, and likely acted similarly, but who were different. And only he remembered them before.

We don’t yet know why he was the only one to survive, why he went from being a Normal Dude to God, but he did. And despite not being alone, after doing some good-old resurrecting, he truly was. He was the only one who remembered the past, and now he was responsible for creating the future. Becoming a vessel for recreation and history when moments before you were but ordinary would be isolating and crystallizing. As that is how it forever would be.

So I think John’s earned the right to be a bit of a bitch
