Trade circles are quite surprised with the trend of bookings for Prabhas' marquee film Adipurush, a modern tale based on the epic Ramayana. Adipurush initially received a lot of criticism for its substandard graphics in the first-look teasers. However, the visually pleasing trailers and chartbuster songs saw a dramatic turnaround of hype for the mythological behemoth. Now, the Om Raut directional is set to topple numerous existing box office records this weekend.
As per the current trend, trade circles are anticipating a humongous start for Adipurush this Friday. Reportedly, the film is expected to embark on a record-breaking start with more than 130 Crores gross worldwide on its opening. The buzz is unprecedented in North India and Telugu States. Adipurush is expected to smash existing records in both these territories. The advance sales in some of the biggest territories like Naizam and Mumbai are quite phenomenal. In North America, Adipurush is going to breach the $ 1 M mark even before the start of premieres.
The Hindi version alone is expected to rake in 30 Crores net on its opening day as more than 1.50 lakh tickets have been sold for the opening day. The Telugu version is likely to punch out close to 45 Crores net and all other versions will result in another 10 -15 crores.
Prabhas still holds the record for the biggest opener with Baahubali 2 surpassing the 200 Crores gross mark on its opening day way back in 2017. His previous films Saaho and Radheshyam also took a terrific start at the box office. However, they failed to maintain the momentum. Now, Adipurush is set to take over Saaho and emerge as the second biggest opener in Prabhas' career. It is also going to emerge as the biggest opener of 2023.
By the end of the first weekend, Adipurush is likely to surpass the 200 Crore mark if it garners good word of mouth and reviews on the first day.
T-Series Bhusan Kumar and Retrophiles have jointly bankrolled this mammoth project with a 500 Crores budget. The film did a stunning pre-release business in all territories across the country. In the Telugu States, it was sold for astronomical prices because of the craze and hype it garnered ever since its launch.

Ananya Birla is following in the steps of Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and The Kashmir Files producer Abhishek Agarwal by giving away 10,000 tickets to the eagerly anticipated movie Adipurush to underprivileged kids.
The world premiere of this Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Nage starrer magnum opus, produced by Bhushan Kumar and directed by Om Raut, is set for June 16, 2023. Tollywood News: The team behind Adipurush has had a tough time with the public's reaction to the teaser. Fans and critics have been harsh, saying that the VFX looked bad, that the hero looked horrible, and that the film was just not working. Prabhas himself has said that he is unhappy with how people are responding to his work. He says that he wants them to see the movie for themselves and judge it on its merits, not on how it looks.

New Delhi , October 7 (Always First): On the occasion of Sunny Singh's birthday, actor Prabhas, extended warm birthday wishes to his 'Adupurush' co-star on social media.
Taking to his Instagram stories, the 'Bahubali: The Beginning' actor dropped a picture featuring Sunny in ethnic attire.
Sharing the picture, he wrote, "Wishing you a very happy birthday @mesunnysingh ! Been great fun working with you brother. See you soon! #Adipurush."
The film 'Adipurush' is based on the epic Ramayana, showcasing the triumph of good over evil.
Prabhas as Raghava in the movie will be portraying the role of Lord Ram and Sunny will be seen as Lakshman. Kriti is set to essay the role of Sita in the forthcoming film and Saif will portray the role of Raavan.
The birthday boy Sunny Singh made his debut in acting with a short role 'Toh Baccha Hai Ji' in 2011. He also did 'Akaash Vani', 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2', also romantic comedy 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' and many more.
On Wednesday, Prabhas attended Delhi's largest Ramlila, organised annually at the historic Red Fort grounds for its iconic celebrations where he was given the honour to perform the Raavan Dahan.
For the festivities, which the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee arranged, Prabhas was present along with his 'Adipurush' director Om Raut and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Meanwhile, ever since the teaser of Prabhas starrer 'Adupurush' has been unveiled, the film and its depiction of Ramayan has been a hot topic of discussion. The mythological movie has been slammed widely for its poor VFX and the "misrepresentation" of characters. Earlier, while speaking to ANI about Ramayana, BJP spokesperson Malavika Avinash had said, "It represents this nation, its civilisation and its people. So no one can take it for granted, let alone a film director. I am angry and this misrepresentation saddens me".
'Adipurush' has been produced by T Series and Retrophiles. It is slated to hit the theatres on January 12, 2023, in IMAX and 3D. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Om, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair, the film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. (Always First)

Mythological behemoth 'Adipurush', starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, is the last hope for trade circles as it has been a dull Summer season so far. The Om Raut directional is carrying massive expectations in all territories and it is set for a humongous opening worldwide on June 16th.
Ahead of its release, Adipurush got a big boost from the Telangana government. As per the latest reports, Adipurush will have early morning shows all over Telangana. An official order to this effect allowing single screens to start shows as early as 4 AM on the first three days has been released by the government. Also, the order stated that a hike of Rs. 50 has been allowed for single screens across the state during the first three days starting from June 16th.
So, all multiplexes and single screens will have 5 to 6 shows in the first three days with a ticket price of Rs. 295 and Rs. 235 respectively. This is a big boost for the openings of Adipurush in Naizam, which is the biggest territory in the Telugu States. It is already a known fact that the film was sold for astronomical prices in Andhra and Telangana. So, a hike and grant of additional shows will boost the numbers for sure. Permission from the Andhra Pradesh government regarding ticket hikes is yet to be received.
Adipurush is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The trailers and teasers received a thumping response from all quarters. T-Series Bhusan Kumar and Retrophiles have jointly bankrolled this big-budget mythological drama.
