judging people who played alan wake 2 solely on if they loved the musical sequence or not
#alan wake 2#im joking around but also not#such a unique gaming experience that was incorporated w so much love and care#ive seen confusion here and there on why there’s even the musical chapter in-story#mostly when they performed at the game awards lol#but imo it was a great way for Mr Door to work together with the Old Gods and their mode of storytelling/communication (rock and roll!)#to try to tell Alan what’s happening to him to help him rise from the spiral#and of course there’s everything with how much Alan often restrains himself based on rules he imposed on himself#the dark place has its own power and rules with artists work but this was one way of#Alan essentially going ‘I know what’s happening here. I know the rules and I HAVE to do all this to save myself and my loved ones’#to which Mr Door/Old Gods go ‘you absolutely do not [throws Alan in musical]’#something something about how it helped put him in the mindset he was at the end of the game#to realize he could work w saga and not sacrifice Logan or Casey. that he’s not in a hopeless loop of destruction#but in a spiral with hopes of ascension and change#(basing this off the initial ending — haven’t finished the Final Draft)#alan wake#I don’t know if im making sense but that was my interpretation#my other explanation for the musical is that it’s there because it’s fucking awesome and creative#reminds me of the starkid ‘guy who didn’t like musicals’ with the confusion of the main character#(although hilariously it seems like Alan is proud of the musical even if he lives in a state of ‘wtf is happening’)#before my essays in the tags end want to say that the dark ocean summoning also deserves this love and I found it equally fun to ‘We Sing’

my favorite moments from the lightning thief musical: a list
far from comprehensive, because it was all-around amazing :D
also geez i meant for this to be short?? ok this is the long version and i’ll post an abridged one that’s a bit less wordy in a few
in terms of production value, it reminded me a bit of a starkid musical - there were no fancy special effects, but i liked it that way! it felt homemade almost, like they didn’t try to convince the audience that they weren’t sitting in a theatre watching a show and i appreciate that! brecht would be proud lol (sorry for the lame theatre nerd jokes)
they included blue food!! sally and percy had blue marshmallows at montauk!! on that note, percy and sally’s relationship was absolutely spot-on, it was clear from the start how much he loved her and how much she loved him :’)
they included the “you drool when you sleep” line boy I nearly cried!! ALSO she said that to him when he was still all dazed from the minotaur attack (a guy with a paper mache head, btw haha) so later when he meets her again when luke introduces her percy saw her and shouted “YOU’RE MY DREAM GIRL! no no wait I mean the girl from my dream!” it made me laugh like a fool and it was sooooo THEM like thank jesus lord, we’ve finally got a GOOD REPRESENTATION OF THESE CHARACTERS!!
jumping off from that: chris mccarrell as percy was INCREDIBLE. he perfectly encapsulated everything percy should be - his impulsivity, his frustrations with dyslexia/adhd/not doing well in school, his love for his mom, his friendship with grover, his disrespect for authority (i refuse to use the word “sass” in relation to percy but i mean if it was 2013 that’s how i would describe it), his confusion, his bravery, his goofiness - when he picked up his sword for capture the flag he went “COOOOOL” and started making lightsaber noises and i almost teared up a bit i kid you not because I really finally felt like I was seeing Percy up on that stage. also, the boy has some wicked pipes.
also for reference i’ll try my best to list who all played what part because there were a lot
percy and annabeth were just themselves the whole time, and grover also played mr. d in a few scenes but the rest of the cast played all the different parts
mr. brunner/chiron also played a random aphrodite girl (he wore a wig with long blonde braids skdjhfsjdh), medusa, poseidon, and hades
sally also played silena, the oracle, echidna, and charon
luke also played smelly gabe and ares
clarisse also played mrs. dodds, katie gardner, a squirrel (to be explained later hah), bianca (also to be explained later), and thalia (also also to be explained later)
& i’m probably missing a few but those were the major ones! they also played generic students, tourists, etc.
chiron was really funny, when he revealed himself to be a centaur he sort of just stood up from his wheelchair and was wearing a fake horse tail and he walked everywhere by prancing which was funny
mr. d was ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL? as mentioned he was played by the guy who played grover! he was angry and he was loud and he wore this floppy hat and pants pulled up to like his ribcage and he shouted every line and i LOVED IT. a random/unnamed half blood came in and set up a metal chair for him at his table full of paperwork and he kicked it over in rage so she set it up again and he kicked it again later and she ran away and he tried to kick his chair over a third time but it wasn’t there so he went and picked it up just to kick it over again. ALSO HE CALLED PERCY PETER JOHNSON GOD BLESS THE WRITERS!!
also i’m giving them a thumbs up for diversity!! luke and sally were both african american and grover was latino!! it was nice!!
annabeth did call percy out for assuming her dad was the god, like i think that convo was almost word for word from the book AMAZING
also her crush on luke was super obvi, she got all giggly every time he talked to her or put his arm around her shoulder aw
they sort of condensed a few events, which makes sense because most people wouldn’t sit through a 6-hour musical (i would but that’s beside the point!), so annabeth’s capture the flag strategy was to send percy into the bathroom as clarisse bait. ALSO the toilet explosion & the later tidal wave he hits ares with were done by attaching toilet paper rolls to leaf blowers and blowing them all over the stage - like i said, no fancy special effects, but it got the point across pretty well!!
percy’s claiming happened at the bonfire after they all sang a fun song about how much it sucks to be a kid of a god (during which grover ate his marshmallow roasting stick, like it’s the little things that make this show so great!!) and for that they stood downstage and all pointed vaguely outwards and said “look! the stars are arranging themselves into a trident!” hah
ALSO mr. d’s bit about wanting to turn percy into a dolphin was in there god bless
percy wore the winged shoes the whole time instead of giving them to grover!
^that all was act 1! act 2 was the entirety of the quest which meant that a lot of the events got cut or shortened
the medusa scene was awesome, and pretty true to the books!! also they both sort of ran offstage and then percy ran back onstage with his sword and the head in his hands lol
while grover went into the back of aunty m’s to look for supplies annabeth had this amazing, utterly badass song called “wise girl” about how she’s had to fight all her life to make it, like she talked about her stepmom hating her and running away from home and stuff and it was SOOOOO GOOD like at one point she said “boys who mess up are given a second chance, but i don’t have that luxury” like DAMN GIRL TELL THEM!! also she did call him seaweed brain a few times and i was like oooooh man i’d almost forgotten my vintage percabeth feels
also yes percy did mail medusa’s head to mount olympus and did this very percy-ish little “heh heh heh i’m clever” laugh as he did
instead of a poodle grover asked a squirrel for directions which was cute!! and yes, annabeth did yell at percy to apologize to the squirrel for offending it :D
most of the trip west was done as a song/montage sort of thing, from post-medusa to vegas all happened in one song! so echidna and her chimera were there, but it was just her holding a dog carrier and it biting percy’s hand when he reached in and them all screaming and then it moved on!!
OK UM the part that made my day was the lotus hotel, it was like 5 seconds long because annabeth was like “wait!! in the odyssey if you sleep in a lotus bed you wake up years later!” so percy was like “that’s ridiculous! here let me ask this girl how long she’s been here” and the girl was like “my brother and I have been here since thursday!” and percy was like “see? were fine” and then she went “in 1939!!” and they sorta screamed and ran out lol and she charlestoned off but anyway the point is she had black braids and a little hat and i turned to my sister and whisper-shouted “THAT’S BIANCA!!!” and she was like “OMG IT IS” i loved it!!!!!!!!!!!! thank god the writers of this ACTUALLY READ THE BOOKS!!
ares’ first scene was kinda short too, they cut the bit about going to waterland/the tunnel of love ride and just had him give them a ride to the next place, also it was suuuuper obvi foreshadowing because when he gave percy the backpack an ominous chord played lol
my other fav moment was when they were on the train to LA (they cut the zoo truck too) grover told percy the story of getting annabeth/luke/thalia to CHB and they reenacted it as he sang about it (that sounds cheesy, it was the three of them up on the top platform sort of doing it in slow motion while Grover sang) and like ngl i almost teared up a bit when thalia died
no procrustes :(( i know i’m listing thing after thing that they left out but like i understand why they did and i don’t think it suffered too badly!! like someone who hasn’t read the book would probs be a bit confused but in what they did have they were so spot-on that i really didn’t mind!
charon was reimagined as a cool beyonce-esque r&b singer, she was like “hey, y’all want a copy of my mixtape?” lol, also they sang this real fun and upbeat song welcoming to the underworld, like telling them about all the cool dead musicians they have (janis joplin, kurt cobain, and mozart all made cameos - annabeth was fangirling over mozart it was adorable!) and the trio was like “oh this is cool!!” until they realized they were about to die lol and charon started evil laughing it was great!
percy did almost get drawn into tartarus, that was cool bc a trap door opened and all this fog lit with red light started billowing out! also when annabeth was like “that’s tartarus!!” percy went “THE FISH SAUCE??” adorable
hades was great!! very sulky like, “why does everyone always think I’M the bad guy?? maybe it’s the decor” i loved it
also the lightning bolt itself was really nice-looking!! it was like described, a tube with metal caps, but it lit up really brightly as annabeth took it out from the backpack and it looked real cool!!
instead of the pearls they escaped the underworld with a conch shell that poseidon gave percy in a dream way back after he defeated the minotaur and he did have to leave sally which is sad every time :(
the final battle against ares was fun, that’s when percy sang his showstopper “son of poseidon” which was truly #lit. if/when they release the cast album that’s the one i’ll be playing on repeat and full blast. and he exploded the toilet paper ocean at ares and it was fun!
poseidon showed up then to take the bolt back to zeus and chat with percy, he was in his hawaiian shirt and looking real cool! and he got sally back and after she hugged percy real tight she saw poseidon and they had a heated moment of “you’re as beautiful as ever” “you’re as charming as ever” and then percy was like “OKAY THIS IS WEIRD” truly great!!
and they did include the final chat with luke about kronos! i was wondering if they’d cut that because it’s not like they can do a series of musicals (though if they did i’d go see every one) but they had it! plus they needed to tie up the loose end of percy being betrayed by a friend! and he stabbed percy in the lower back but was disarmed by annabeth go girl!! but he didn’t take long to recover hah because he was able to sing the badass closing number about being cool demigods and saving the world!!
anyway there’s much more that i forgot to mention but just know overall that it was amazingly true to the characters and the tone/world/humor/etc. of the books and i was almost giddy for the rest of the day because it was one of the most loving, fun, entertaining, and on-point adaptations of a book i’ve seen in any form. m*vies who?? i only know the musical!!
feel free to send me asks if you want to know more about a particular scene!!
jesus lord this was long!! like i said, short version forthcoming!

I was tagged by the most darling @marthanna to choose my ten favorite characters (and with descriptions I guess). Thank you for tagging me! This was so fun! <3
Ja’far (Twisted): Ja’far is so dear to me as he is everything I want to be. He is optimistic, hard-working, kind, and always does what is right. Despite what bull he had to go through, he never gave up his morals and followed the Golden Rule. He brings me hope (as I’m a logical thinker), and I really love how emotional and relatable Dylan made him.
Voldemort (A Very Potters): If you know me, you know I am Starkid Voldemort. We’re evil and put ourselves first but have that connect ability to that one person. That and his dramatics and flare are goals. Plus, I really want his cape. He’s such a fun character, and he and Quirrell together really are the best part of the show.
Sirius Black (Harry Potter): This is another character that I very much am. We’re both chaotic neutral and, once again, have a thing for the dramatic. He is incredibly loyal and oh so loving to his friends. Despite the circumstance given to him (being sorted into Gryffindor and disowned by his family), he was still caring to those close and continued on. Plus, he and I are both snarky as hell.
Hermione Granger (Book Harry Potter & AVPM/AVPS): I felt I needed to specify as I’m not a fan of movie Hermione. But when I was a child and reading the novels, I related so much to Hermione. We both had giant hair, big teeth, weren’t the easiest to get along with, and more interested in our own things (whether it be studies or just playing on your own) than in friends. And for her, she made close friends and formed a trio. As a child, I wanted that. I didn’t have friends, so I lived through her. I felt like an outcast and not desirable, like the Starkid Hermione, but I kept doing my own thing. Hermione is so strong and reminds me a lot of myself as a child.
Alexia Tarabotti (Parasol Protectorate): From Hermione, I grew up into Alexia. Alexia isn’t traditionally attractive, speaks her mind, and incredibly rational and kinda lacking in empathy. This completely fits me, and she is another character whose strength I admire. If you haven’t, please read the series! I highly recommend.
Sebastian Michaelis (Kuroshitsuji): Okay, so this character holds a special place in my heart. Despite how much I hate his current “character development” and how he is treated by the author, he was a really interesting character. His setup is great. He had so much potential to be explored (and sadly we will never get that). So I love him still, and I just develop him with more plausible ideas with some friends now as the series aggravated me to no end at a certain point (and hasn’t gotten better).
Leading Player (Pippin): Leading Player is such a complex character. They represent the ambition of Pippin, but I think they’re darker than that. As I described to some friends, you get to see the transition from being a chaotic neutral-like character who moves Pippin along in the tale to a chaotic evil one. I think they represent a bit of the struggle everyone faces to be extraordinary and how we all have dark thoughts. The character is such a joy to watch and there is almost something threatening about them.
Miles Tuck (Tuck Everlasting Musical): My sweet forever grumpy cat son. All memes about him are hilarious, and in the show, he’s hilarious and so tragic. Like when he just picks up and kidnaps Winnie or doesn’t shoot a guy because his mother told him not to. But OH DAMN. Time makes me sob every time. Even in Story of the Tucks, you realize that oh maybe he isn’t just a grumpy cat son. And he actually has sweet moments with Winnie, and I don’t know. I have a lot of feelings about him (and hot damn. Robert Lenzi’s voice always makes me swoon).
Cheshire Cat (Alice in Wonderland): So years and years ago, I fell in love with the Cheshire Cat, and a few years later, my friends decided he was my Disney personification. He is a great character who never takes sides, causes more confusion and madness, and just is super fun. What’s not to love about this chaotic neutral cat?
Evan Hansen (Dear Evan Hansen): A new favorite, but I REALLY fell in love with his character. Although it was a bit painful to watch the show and some of Evan’s choices, I just sat there and saw myself in Evan. I was Evan in high school. I was talking to my friend (who is a stage manager), and we were talking about how the show reminded us of a similar incident that happened when we were in high school. And for me, I felt like Evan at that time. I was depressed as hell, had terrible anxiety, and I just felt alone. And by means, we are pulled into the heart of the campaign for someone who just committed suicide. To me, it was painful but I enjoyed watching him go through this struggle and then get to the realization of it all in Words Fail. And the ending...I love how he was treated in the Finale with the not typical happily ever after. But as someone who is in therapy and had a not typical after high-school experience, I relate. I get it. And his perseverance to happiness and inner peace is just something that people need to look forward to. Evan is so many people. And people really need to watch this show.
I’m tagging @9puzzlepiece9, @abookandadog, @browniespoints and anyone else who wants to do this. :)

The Phantom Menace
So I rewatched the original trilogy last year, and now I’m gonna rewatch the prequels.
I haven’t seen the prequels since I saw them in theatres as a kid, so this should be interesting. As a kid, I liked the prequels and was heartbroken when I got older and found out the whole world hates them. But also, I haven’t seen them since I was a kid, so I hope I’ll still like them if only for the nostalgia. All I remember is that I’ve always loved Padme and her costumes and Darth Maul gave me nightmares for years.
Also, I didn’t see the Phantom Menace in theatres because I was 3 when it came out, but a year ago my mom tried to convince me that I actually had seen it in theatres. I know for a fact the first movie I ever saw in theatres was either Fantasia or Dinosaur since both of those came out in 2000 when I was 4, so my mom was really confused.
And while I watch this I’m gonna be putting mini twists into my hair.
So. Let’s begin!
GOD I LOVE STAR WARS. Just the “A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...” and then the theme just makes me so happy. You can really tell the filmmakers were happy that CGI had become a thing by 1999. Silver C-3PO with a woman’s voice just seems wrong... “I have a bad feeling about this” He said the thing. Also yay Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon! Also, and this is very sad but in my defense I was 3, I forgot that Qui-Gon was even a character in this movie until a couple years ago. When I was 3, I literally remembered Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan as being one person. I don’t know why. I remember a few years before I figured out that they were 2 different people, I heard someone say something along the lines of “Liam Neeson was in Star Wars” and I was like “...Ok... no... Obi-Wan wasn’t played by Liam Neeson” and I thought they were an idiot for getting Ewan McGregor mixed up with him. Turns out 3 year old me is actual the idiot for combining them into one person. Master Yoda namedrop. Also that stupid ponytail Obi-Wan why. Ahhh it’s the emperor! Lightsabers! Also there were a couple notes of music just then with a very Harry Potter vibe. Oh, John Williams. ROGER ROGER. I REMEMBER THAT SO VIVIDLY FROM MY CHILDHOOD. Now that’s how you use a lightsaber! To cut doors open. Ugh the ponytail AND the rattail. I’d forgotten Obi-Wan had a rattail too. Ani’s was bad enough. QUEEN AMIDALA! IT’S QUEEN AMIDALA! I JUST LET OUT THE SOFTEST GASP. SUDDENLY, I AM 4 YEARS OLD AGAIN. Maybe we shouldn’t trust this Palpatine guy. This CGI has not aged well. Especially not Jar Jar. Oh no. Jar Jar has not aged well at all. On that note, I’ve never hated Jar Jar. I hope this doesn’t make me hate him. Especially since StarKid’s Ani: The Musical makes you fall in love with Jar Jar. “Ex-squeeze-me” I can’t. I don’t think I remember the city being in the water... But I remember the breathing devices because I wanted one. “Yousa in big dudu this time” see this is more ridiculous and hilarious than like... hate-worthy. I don’t remember the gooberfish. OH NO AND I DEFINITELY DON’T REMEMBER THE BIGGER FISH. I literally gasped out “What!?” just now. THIS FISH HAS ARMS. GUYS. IT HAS ARMS. IT’S A LIGHT UP ALLIGATOR. I DON’T REMEMBER ANY OF THIS. NOW BRUCE THE SHARK IS HERE TOO. How did Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon stay so calm? I’m literally Jar Jar freaking out. Oh hi Keira Knightly. I actually almost fell for it, but I saw the handmaidens thought to myself “oh I’ve always loved their outfits so much” and then happened to look right at Natalie Portman and I was like “...Ooooooh” Ok, the battle drone acting confused to try to be funny was just sad. R2 UNITS! THEY JUST SHOT A R2 UNIT RIGHT OFF THE SHIP. HOW DARE THEY? AND 2 MORE ARE GONE! THOSE POOR DROIDS! Wait so is that one R2D2? Awwww. Question: Because I know too much about this series, did people realize that Palpatine was the emperor before the reveal? Or was it only people who knew who the actor is? DARTH MAUL. I JUST GASPED. “We should not have made this bargain.” You think? Also I’m loving the master/apprentice parallels happening here. Oh R2D2. I’m legit getting emotional. R2 has been through so much. And here’s his beginning. We almost could have had another R2 unit but we got R2D2. I’m so proud. I wonder if Sabe enjoys getting to boss around Padme when she’s the decoy. Also, Keira Knightly was only 12 when she filmed this??! How. “I sense a disturbance in the force” He said the thing. “The queen demands that you take her handmaiden with you” is code for “The queen wants to go on a field trip”  Ok this guy. The guy enslaving Ani and his mom. Him. I hate him. Ever since I was a kid I just hated him. I couldn’t remember who he was, but I’d see pictures of him and feel hatred. A few months ago I was finally reminded that he enslaved Ani’s mom and I was like oh ok everything makes sense. AWWW IT’S LITTLE BABY ANI. His first line is him whining. Like father like son. AHHHH IT’S C-3PO. Wait never mind. “Are you an angel?” Oh my god. That is adorable. How did this sweet little boy become Darth Vader? “You’re a slave?” “I’m a person and my name is Anakin.” YES ANI. YES. “I’m glad to have met you, Anakin.” You sure about that? I mean, yeah, you two give us Luke and Leia. But at what cost? Sebulba! I hate him too. I was not aware that Ani was legitimately Anakin’s nickname in this movie, I thought that’s just what that fandom called him affectionately. Can you tell it’s been 15+ years since I last saw this movie? NOW we see C-3PO. And R2D2 just met him for the first time awwwww. Ok so they are humans. Here’s the thing, when I was little my dad told me all the humans without makeup in Star Wars were aliens that looked humanoid. Like Time Lords. But no. They are actually humans. My dad nearly messed up my perception of Star Wars forever. “I saw your laser sword” *insert Nerdist’s Kyle Hill cringing* Seriously how could it all go so wrong with Anakin? He was such a sweet kid. Ok the whole Anakin is the Jedi Jesus thing was something I didn’t know about until a few months ago. I don’t know how I missed it as a kid. But I did. Is that Warwick Davis? Yep. It is. Also Warwick played Yoda too? Wow. He has more midi-chlorians than Yoda? Wow. Awww R2D2 is telling C-3PO about space. THE TWO-HEADED ANNOUNCER! I REMEMBER THIS! And it’s buffering so I’m pausing for a bit. Yeah. I really don’t like Sebulba. BINARY SUNSET IS PLAYING. I JUST LET OUT A SOB. “May the force be with you” He said the thing! I DON’T REMEMBER JABBA THE HUTT BEING IN THIS! Though they did say the planet was controlled by the Hutts so it makes sense, but I just thought that that was a namedrop. Ugh and also the guy with the thing coming from his head wrapped around his neck who terrified me as a kid and still freaks me out now. And now Warwick is sitting in the audience. He’s in two places at once! I forgot how dangerous podracing is. Ok 1) I really hate Sebulba. 2) Now I know why my mom always said seeing Ani in danger made her hate watching the podracing scenes.  Ok wait I gotta rewind because I looked away for a second to look at the section of hair I’m currently twisting and suddenly Sebulba’s podracer fell apart. Yeah I still don’t know exactly what happened there but whatever, I’m just glad it did. And now the Skywalkers are on Jabba’s radar forever until one of them finally kills him. “You have brought hope to those who have none” I love that hope is always associated with Skywalkers. I hate that he has to leave his mom. This is another reason my mom hates this movie. Also, Binary Sunset is playing again so that makes me happy. “I’ll make sure Mom doesn’t sell you or anything.” “Sell me?” “Bye.” Ani, you sounded like you didn’t care at all. More Binary Sunset to make an already sad scene even more emotional. One of the things you learn to do as a Jedi is cool flips and high jumps into moving ships. Wait have they said Obi-Wan’s name at all yet? I don’t remember him saying it. Oh wow Coruscant’s completely covered in cities. Oh my god. That looks so cool. Oh wait it’s one big city. Even cooler. “And look over there. Senator Palpatine is waiting for us.” Oh, how they will regret this. Ahhhhhh all of Padme’s costumes are just gorgeous. YODA AND MACE WINDU! The blue guy with the super long neck and tiny head. I remember him vividly. I remember the Senate too. Because the booths/whatever they are up and down the walls TERRIFIED ME.  It’s painful to watch Padme trust Palpatine. Mace is literally holding an iPad on a selfie stick. Oh my god. It seemed familiar and it just hit me. Everyone should just listen to Yoda all the time. Choose Bali choose Bali just don’t choose Palpatine please choose Bali. We should all listen to Obi-Wan too. “Qui-Gon, sir, I don’t wanna be a problem” Oh Ani. You’re literally the biggest problem ever. “I am Queen Amidala.” Plot twist. Though I already knew. But I have no memory of Padme having a decoy from when I was little, I found out about the decoy years later so I guess 3 year old me just really didn’t pay attention. I’m liking the little teases of Leia’s Theme we can hear. “Once we get inside go find cover” “Sure” *Gets into a ship* Jar Jar... just don’t try to help please OOoooh they’re taking off their outer cloaks. It’s getting real.  “Stay in the cockpit” *Stays in the cockpit* *Takes off* But I love that the helmet and goggles fit his tiny head perfectly. *Is in a life threatening situation* “This is tense!” UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY ANI. “Qui-Gon told me to stay in this cockpit so that’s what I’m gonna do” Ani you little shit. Oh no I just got hit with the feels because Obi-Wan screamed “NOOOOO” just like Luke did when he died. YES SABE! Ani blowing up the control ship is one of the few things I actually vividly remember. Aww. More Binary Sunset.
THE CGI DARTH MAUL FALLING DOWN THE HOLE IS NIGHTMARE INDUCING. NO WONDER I HAD NIGHTMARES. THE SCREAMING FACE THEY ANIMATED. NOPE.
“We will watch your career with great interest” That’s for sure. “Master and apprentice.” “But which was destroyed?” *Camera ominously focuses on Palpatine* Subtle. Ew the Ani rattail has started. I THINK THIS IS MY FAVORITE OF ALL OF PADMES OUTFITS. I’VE ALWAYS LOVED IT SO MUCH. IT’S SO GORGEOUS. AHHHHH. I love that the final shot was like A New Hope’s.
Ok.
So kill me if you must because I am about to commit Star Wars blasphemy, but I actually enjoyed The Phantom Menace. And it wasn’t only because it made me nostalgic since obviously I didn’t remember most of this movie. It’s no where near as good as the others, but I came in with really low expectations because I was scared that only 3 year old Hope enjoyed it, but no it went way above those low expectations and 21 year old Hope enjoyed it too. Not amazing, but not completely terrible. I get why some people might hate Jar Jar since he did get a little annoying but I couldn’t hate him. Ani’s acting was a little off sometimes but whatever. Sometimes the movie got a little ridiculous but guys, come on, the originals were ridiculous too. Not as ridiculous, but still. I liked it. I didn’t love it, but I liked it.
And now I’m gonna be disowned by the Star Wars fandom but whatever.
