Ready-Up DIY Body Armor - Defense Equipment and Clothing:
From the most expensive, high-end body armor to the cheapest sporting equipment, in the unlikely event of civil unrest, having, or making, items to reduce bodily injury will be good to have readily available. Any injury to any part of the body, has a negative impact on mobility and/or survival. If money is an issue, nearly every piece of sporting equipment, from hockey sticks and baseball bats to football helmets and pads can be repurposed for self defense. A trip to the local sports (poor man's riot gear) store can prepare for the worst scenarios. Re-paint with black or earth-tone colors and be ready for the street or wilderness.
Bullet-Proof Clothing and Accessories - Vests, Suits, Backpacks and more will help reduce trauma from firearm and knife attacks
