Like any other mercenary, Six enjoyed killing as much as his peers did.
But once he joined Providence, his killing preference shifted to something else.

FIVE TRUE STORIES OF LOVE

I
Once upon a time, in Mughal Ruled India, there lived a rich and powerfull Prince Shah-Jehan.
He was rich in land, gold, armies, and wives.
And the wive he most treasured, was the princess Mumtaz Mahal.
Mumtaz Mahal made her Prince even more rich when she gaved him 14 children.
But her life on Earth ended soon after giving birth to the 14th child.
In tribute to her memory, making their love eternal, Prince Shah-Jehan ordered the building of one of the most beautiful palace where the body of Mumtaz-Mahal would be buried.
And that is how the wonder of Taj Mahal camed to be.

Once upon a time, in the mountains of Argentina, lived a young lady named Camila O'Gorman
One day, Camila met the young jesuit priest Ladislao Gutierrez
Ladislao fell in love with Camila, and she corresponded to his affections
The two decided to run away together, and cross the frontier to Brazil
But before they could rich the frontier, the couple was found and arrested by the soldiers of the dictator Juan Manuel Rosas
Days later, incited by figures like Camila's father, who demanded a severe punishment to their crimes against morality, the couple, showing no regrets whatsoever, was executed in a firing squad by orders of Rosas
One century later, their love inspired uruguyan writer Eduardo Galeano to write:
"They are two by mistake, the night corrects it"

III
Once upon a time, there was a war.
In the South of Brazil, a revolt in favour of a Republic and against the Empire was happening.
To help the republicans, an adventurous italian was called.
His name was Giuseppe Garibaldi.
When he arrived, a young lady, called Manuela, fell in love with the adventurous warrior.
He asked for her hand to the lady's uncle, the republican leader Bento Gonçalves.
But was rejected, because Manuela 's uncle hoped to marry her with his own son.
Them, Garibaldi departed, and in his journeys to fight, another woman fell in love with him: Anita, who was already married, but was not afrayed in taking the chance to run away with Garibaldi.
The two lived and fought together in several battlefields, in Brazil, Uruguai and Italy, raised three children, and lost a baby daughter.
By Garibaldi's side, ill and six months pregnant, Anita died fighting for the Italian Unification.
While in the South of Brazil, Manuela died without ever marrying, forever loving and waiting for her Giuseppe Garibaldi.
Wich made her known as the Bride of Garibaldi in her home town of Pelotas.

Once upon a time, in the Backlands of Northeast of Brazil, there lived a young woman named Maria
She was married at a young age to a shoemaker
But her hearth would soon be taken by a warrior
A man turned travelling bandit, who was the Captain of a bandit band
Called at birth Virgulino Ferreira da Silva, but more known by the nickname Lampião
With the help of her mother, Maria runned away with Lampião, becoming the first woman to be accepted in his band, and she became known as Maria Bonita
Leading the band, Lampião and Maria Bonita rided to several deserts, fighting the sun, the lack of water, and the police that hunted them
Under a tree, Lampião assisted Maria Bonita when she gaved birth to their only child to come into adulthood: a daughter named Expedita, whom they gaved to be raised in safety by a couple of farmers
In 1938, as they reached the state of Sergipe and took rest in the woods of Angicos, they were killed by the morning, in a surprised atack of the police, who would travel from town to town exibiting their decapitated heads as trophees

Casamentos, Mentiras e uma Gotinha de Paixão!
Autor: Oswaldo Pedra
Ah, eu adoro usar saltos altos. Meu amigo Oswaldo me chama de cavalona - Adoro!
Ele reagiu na hora e me montou, metendo gostoso, me dando tapas e me chamando de putinha safada e cavalona. Claro, gozei urrando!
No dia, me preparei bem, bastante gel, creminhos, vinho e fomos tentar.
Relaxei e deixei ele começar a bombar. Ele, me vendo gozar, logo despejou seu leite quente no meu rabo e caiu do lado.
As minhas pernas bambearam e eu me molhei toda! “Oh, My Gosh!”
Eu gaguejei na hora e vi que estava perdida. Ele tinha me dominado. Ele então me deu um beijo na boca, me segurou pela mão e me arrastou, deixando sobre a mesa algumas notas de dinheiro, que era mais ou menos o valor da nossa conta. Ele me jogou dentro do carro dele, me deu mais um beijinho na boca e falou;
Pica! Pica!"
Ele finalmente tirou as calças e botou aquela mutamba para fora. Me assustei!
- "Agora espera!" falei pra ele. Precisava me acostumar com aquela tora.

Celebrating UNCTAD’s achievements of the past 60 years - Charting a New Development Course in a Changing World.
Tumblr media
Marking its 60th Anniversary, UNCTAD Rebrands to “UN Trade and Development” and Convenes a Global Leaders Forum
UNCTAD’s 60th anniversary Rebrands as "UN Trade and Development" and convenes Global Leaders Forum with the UN Secretary-General, Heads of State, leading economists and Nobel Laureates in June 2024.
UN Trade and Development’s Secretary-General, Rebeca Grynspan, emphasized the organization’s transformative approach and commitment to supporting developing countries in an increasingly polarized world.
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) announced today its landmark rebranding as "UN Trade and Development," commemorating its 60th anniversary this year. This strategic move underscores the organization's commitment to greater impact with a new, clearer visual identity aiming to better reflect its work and values aiming to amplify its global voice on behalf of developing countries.
Charting a New Course
Under the leadership of Secretary-General Rebeca Grynspan, the organization has been adapting to a rapidly changing global trade landscape impacted by the COVD19 pandemic, geopolitical tensions and climate change, with initiatives that enhance the organization's capacity to rapidly analyze new challenges and support efforts in developing nations.
The rebranding marks a pivotal moment- the first ever comprehensive review of UNCTAD’s global communication footprint and a bold forward-looking strategy to communicate its work and values.
At the presentation of the organization’s new brand as part of its 60th anniversary celebrations, Secretary-General Grynspan underlined "Visible, transformational change is our objective. We are celebrating UNCTAD’s achievements of the past 60 years as a forward-looking, renewed organization, building on our legacy but ready to respond to the new complexities of the global economy. We will continue to work to ensure development is at the core of global economic decisions, and the voice of developing countries is heard."
The organization will adopt its new name and logo across all official channels, in the six UN languages, marking its first rebranding in sixty years.
60th anniversary celebration:  Global Leaders Forum
The rebranding marks the start of the 60th anniversary of the organization. UN Trade and Development will convene a Global Leaders Forum from 12-14 June at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, inaugurated by UN Secretary-General, António Guterres and UN Trade and Development Secretary-General, Rebeca Grynspan, alongside Heads of State and Government, and the participation of civil society organizations, private sector representatives and some of the world’s leading economists. Under the theme "Charting a New Development Course in a Changing World", the Forum will emphasize the organization’s integrated approach to trade and development, addressing finance, technology, investment, and sustainable development, with a specific focus on the needs of developing countries, and UNCTAD’s work in Africa, the least developed countries, small island developing states (SIDs), and landlocked developing countries.
It will also be an important occasion to explore innovative approaches and pioneering solutions with the world’s top policy makers and thinkers.

They say everything he touches turns to gold: KondZilla, the man behind the most popular YouTube channel in Latin America, has revolutionized Brazilian funk music, taking favela beats to a massive online audience.
The 34-year-old entrepreneur, who grew up in the slums himself, launched his "KondZilla Channel" in 2012. At the time, the music industry had barely taken notice of Brazilian funk, a Rio de Janeiro-born hip-hop style known as the fuel for all-night-and-into-the-next-day parties in the favelas.
Today, KondZilla -- whose real name is Konrad Dantas -- has more than 66.5 million subscribers on YouTube, and favela funk is mainstream music in Brazil.
"The big multinational record labels were ignoring that segment of the market," Dantas told AFP in an interview.
"The only way to get this content out there was YouTube," he said after giving a talk this week at the Rio edition of Web Summit, the world's biggest annual technology conference.
Dantas grew up in a favela in Guaruja, a seaside city in the southeastern state of Sao Paulo.
He got his start directing music videos for "ostentation funk" artists, a sex-and-bling-heavy subgenre that emerged in Sao Paulo in the 2000s.
"I like telling stories and connecting with young people from the hood," he says.
His audience soon exploded.
Tumblr media
His 2015 video "Baile de Favela," for funk artist MC Joao, racked up more than 100 million views.
It hit the height of mainstream success when Olympic medallist Rebeca Andrade, Brazil's most famous gymnast, used it in the soundtrack for her floor routine at the Tokyo Games in 2021.
Forbes Brasil named KondZilla to its list of the country's most influential people under 30 in 2017.
Today, he runs a business empire that includes a record label, TV and film production company, music news site, and an institute to train talented young artists.
His TV series "Sintonia" is the most widely watched Brazilian show on Netflix, and his most-watched music videos each have more than a billion views.
Despite his stage name -- a reference to movie monster Godzilla -- Dantas is a small, laid-back man with a gleaming smile.
At the Web Summit conference, he patiently signed autographs, posed for pictures and took time to speak with fans seeking his advice.
He says one of the keys to his success has been the democratization of technology, which has allowed people in Brazil's impoverished favelas to consume and produce whatever content they want on their cell phones.
"When we have the chance to choose what we consume, we don't pick the story of the firefighter in New York. We pick stories that look like ours, that we can identify with," he said.
Dantas is known for his savvy at reading the market, and adapting as it changes.
"One minute, you're on top. The next, you fall. Everything changes fast, and you have to adapt," he said.
One of his key transitions was launching "light" versions of songs, replacing the "indecent" language that permeates the genre with safe-for-work lyrics, he said.
He credits that with expanding his subscriber numbers from six million in 2016 to 22 million in 2017.
Dantas says he was always interested in music and visual media.
He got his professional start at 18, after his mother died. He received some money from her pension and life-insurance policy, which he thought about using to buy an apartment and get out of the favela, he said.
Instead, he took a risk: he used the money to pay for production equipment and professional training.
He turned out to have a flair for directing irresistible, visually seductive music videos -- and discovering new talent.
To help promote the next generation of "KondZillas," Dantas launched a "Creators School" last year to train video and music artists from his hometown favelas.
But in business terms, he sees people over 50 as his next growth market, he said -- an unusual statement at a tech conference, especially from someone in an industry obsessed with youth, TikTok and trends.
"They say the first generation that will live past 100 has already been born," Dantas said in his talk. "I'm aiming at them."

I am Brazilian, and therefore, Latina. There are lots of cultural ties that you are born and grow into that you don't necessarily understand, and even in a continent where the culture is very similar all around in a lot of aspects, we are still very different people with different views and backgrounds as a whole.
Brazil, for an example, doesn't has that positive attitude towards death that our Hispanic brothers seem to have, and I was raised in a family that lost so many people around the time I was born, and yet, seemed to just put the death down and go their way. My maternal grandfather died two years before I was born, and my older sister by dad's side died five years before. My mom lost a baby two years before too, and cried everyday till I was born, and to this day, there isn't a day that goes by where she doesn't think about him. When I was six, we lost my little brother to cancer, a month before he turned four. A few years later, when I had just turned ten, my dad died too.
My grandma is strongly against holding into dead people, because she says you can miss them, but keeping them in your life is idolatry, and it's a sin. I, however, was born surrounded by people who had a part of them missing by death, and, years later, in my late teens, I finally got to begin to read A Hundred Years of Solitude, a very culturally important book by a great Colombian writer.
The book is about magical realism, and it's so, so, so charged with our culture as latinoamericanos that reading it feels like a shock, specially for someone who went from sheltered Christian kid to sheltered, albeit exposed to gringo internet culture, teenager. It felt like I was culturally not alone, like Brazilians often feels because of the language barrier we have with the rest of the latinoamerica.
But, most of all, I related to Rebeca Buendía, the girl who carried her parents bones in a bag on her back, and didn't even know what that was. She was adopted and the city was so new no one had died yet, and therefore, there wasn't any cemeteries around to bury it, so it eventually just got kicked around the house, because, well, what the hell do you do with it? It took years till a cemetery was instituted, and her parents where appropriately buried. Years of carrying your dead by your back, not a clue what it was about or how to deal with it.
I feel like I was born in a house where the bone bag was being kicked around since my grandfather died, and no one addressed it properly beyond the "if your grandfather was here, he would have flipped the table" when I spilled juice at dinner, or "if dad was here, that boyfriend wouldn't do me like that" from my mother. My brother, who was there when grandpa was alive and had him like a father, would constantly tell me that he wasn't my grandfather, only his, because I wasn't alive for it.
I feel like, since a young age, I started to collect the bones spilling from the bag, dying to understand it, to love it, and putting it into my own backpack, and as I grew up, the bones started to multiply, and no one else seems to be willing to build a cemetery for it, so where do I put it down? Here I am, carrying my dead, some of which I never got to know the presence, but grew up with the hole they left, and some whose hole was personally made in my heart when they passed away. How do I put them down? Where do I do it?

turns out I couldn't stop myself from making my own RBY Trio so oops
anyways here's Rebeca Byrn and Six, quite literally two souls inhabiting a single body.
Tumblr media
Six (he/they) is actually just the dark sclera eyeball; he's named Six because he was the sixth test subject in the series of undeath experiments that Milia was also part of. When he died, their soul was pulled into the eyeball that was then implanted into Rebeca's (she/they) eye socket so that she could be saved from a terminal disease.
and now they share the same body and Symphogear, the Ukonvasara. The Ukonvasara's main thing is lightning and pirate theming. Its Armed Gear is a segment-hammer that can turn into a gauntlet. Six is better with the hammer, Rebeca is better with the gauntlet, so they often switch whoever's in control to mess with enemies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
placing two characters in the same body means having to practice what makes them different from each other: Rebeca is a lot more emotive and high energy than Six, who's chiller and "smooth" than Beca. They're both snarky and playful assholes though, so that's very much their common ground.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Six hates dresses, so they both decide to wear gender-neutral clothing. Sometimes it's out of their control though.
Tumblr media
they both have a lisp they try to actively hide; Six is a lot worse than Beca at it and, especially when he gets angry, it often slips out.
so yeah, there's a new brainrot child to add to the pile-

Artist Rebecca Louise Law Brings Flowers to Times Square
Rebecca Louise Law's 16,000 Flower Installation
2014
There is a new oasis amid New York’s midtown melee. In the lobby of the Viacom building at 1515 Broadway, 16,000 flowers hang from the ceiling, lending an otherwise nondescript space a splash of color and a touch of whimsy. The installation, Flowers 2015: Outside In, is the latest by British artist Rebecca Louise Law and the first in a series of art projects initiated by Viacom. With the help of 200 volunteers, Law spent the past weekend snipping, piercing, and tying stems before hanging each bloom from a length of burnished copper wire. The result is a capsized garden with roses, thistles, delphiniums, and 11 other floral species—all imported from the Netherlands—hovering delicately overhead. Just outside the lobby doors on the large screens in Times Square, a six-minute video broadcasts the installation to the public.
“I’m interested in showing what a flower is, and what it can become,” said Law at the installation’s preview, her fingers blistered and bandaged from pruning and wire wrapping. The daughter of a gardener, Law studied fine arts at Newcastle University, where she incorporated flowers into her degree show. She went on to work with a number of florists and has become something of an expert herself.
Every blossom in this installation has been selected for a specific virtue—they all dry well. Already they are slightly less lush and verdant than freshly clipped bouquets, but the colors, carefully chosen and organized, remain lively. When the installation is taken down in April, each flower, preserved with its own natural oils, will be encased in a glass box, like an anti–memento mori. But for now, the imperfect stems and disorderly blossoms hang in a maelstrom of line and color, as if a Jeff Koons “Puppy” had exploded overhead. Every person blustering through the revolving door on the corner of 44th Street will be rewarded with the sight, and relieved for a moment from their New York City winter. *
I’m really interested with Rebeca’s installation, how the flower are hanging in the air, which is a really powerful kind of style.
I’m wishing to do a similar work which is also looks kind of same as what Rebeca has shown, but I think I will need to use a different way.

VIDEO DIARIES’ Return to Justice for My Sister
BY JOAN MAO
Emerging filmmakers and producers of color regain their footing after two years of COVID.
The pandemic brought a two-year hiatus and delayed the certification training program that is the mission of Justice for My Sister (JFMS). The nonprofit trains women of color, nonbinary and foster youth to make special films.
Tumblr media
···
Themes are gender inclusive and speak to racial justice as a way to heal from trauma.
The organization staff supports the efforts of women, as they work to overcome financial barriers in the T.V. and film industry. Mercedes Mijares is one of them. She grew up near MacArthur Park, and in her youth discovered the power of writing and producing plays.
Mijares faced trauma as a child, and she did not receive help. She says drugs became her friend. She discovered a different world with the help of Heart of Los Angeles (H.O.L.A.). The organization gives underserved kids a chance to succeed through activities and after-school programs.
“I was in love with the process of creating,” Mijares said. “It kept me off the streets most of the time. I was able to explore through my writing new worlds and new ideas. I really enjoyed it.”
JFMS has provided referrals to over 200 women, girls and gender-non-confirming individuals to service providers in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Women like Mijares found a new life with JFMS.
“I have been coming a long way in telling my story of redemption from being born into poverty, sexual, mental and physical abuse,” Mijares said. “I overcame despite all the odds against me and my self-sabotage. I was able to reconnect to my roots and get closer to prayer and the healing process. I’m reconnecting with my writing and storytelling.”
After a two-year hiatus during COVID, JFMS relaunched its “Video Diaries” program for emerging filmmakers of color.
Columbian American award-winning documentarian Kimberly Bautista founded the non-profit organization in 2011. JFMS started the video diaries in 2017 as a partnership with PBS SoCal and their To Foster Change Initiative.
In her article “The Story of Justice For My Sister: Combatting Gender-Based Violence Across Borders,” published on mujerestalk.org, Bautista writes about the documentary and why “healing through community” is important.

“Many of the stories in our web series are of survivors that had seen Rebeca’s story in the feature documentary and decided they also wanted to share their stories,” Bautista wrote. ... We want to offer survivors a platform to share their stories, casting aside blame and shame, as the historically typical narrative would have it, and in turn, break the silence and disrupting the hegemonic, heteronormative, white supremacist, imperialist, victim-blaming narrative.”
The Lens Liberates
This year, California Arts Council and JFMS selected six participants for the 2022 Video Diaries program. In the past, only former foster youth could participate. This year, JFMS looked at other underrepresented communities, like former incarcerated or undocumented women from Los Angeles and from Lima, Peru.
Daniel Bisuano acts, writes and advocates.
He cares about social justice and formerly incarcerated youth. Erica Brown specializes in radio and TV broadcast. She is a graduate of the Illinois Media School. Ximena Medina Vasquez is a photographer an audio visual communicator and a filmmaker. She recently debuted in the video performance documentary “Healing Ritual for a Papaya.” X. Rios is a “multimedium” artist who tells stories that bring awareness to problems that confront the juvenile justice and the foster care systems. Jackelyn Santiago is a media artist who explores her South American roots. Through the power of art, she brings hidden issues to the fore. She uses drawing, photography, film and graphic design to tell her story.
The 8-week educational workshop series provides one-on-one mentorship and documentary filmmaking training for participants to develop and produce their own five-minute video story.
They meet every Saturday for a three-hour session to discuss topics that range from development to production and editing.
Throughout the week, the participants meet with their mentors.
This year’s mentors include Pea Nuñez, Patricia Ovando, Ronnie Clark, and Sannii Crespina-Flores.
Gabrielle Jackson, JFMS’ programs manager says the participants use filmmaking to regain their sense of freedom.
“The lens helps liberate them as they document their journey and show the world their reality,” Jackson said.

Medical training in Vietnam impressively attracts international students.
In the last few days of May, many colleagues from India, Honduras, Nigeria, etc., came to Vietnam to be admitted to the Medical Major of Hong Bang International University (HIU). This is a significant milestone for the Vietnamese board of education, which ultimately targets the education export and marks the trustworthy development of the Medical training in Vietnam. His Excellency Ambassador - Mr. Sanh Chau Pham (the sixth person in his well-vest from left), came to Vietnam with HIU to welcome the first group of Indian students joining the Medical Department Leading to studying abroad. Vietnam has grown as one of the ideal natures, diverse cultures, and amiable citizens in recent years. Moreover, with the steady development of education, Vietnam has become one of the primary choices for many international students looking to study abroad. In May 2022, Hong Bang International University (HIU) accepted more than 30 Indian students who came to Vietnam for a Bachelor's degree in Medical study entirely in English. The program development is based upon the Ministry of Education and Training and Ministry of Health standards. At the same time, it reformed the medical training programs of advanced countries globally. There are https://hiu.vn/en/home-2/ of six years with twelve semesters. During this time, Ana Rebeca Muñoz Tejada was born and raised in the Republic of Honduras - a country located in Central America, which is luckily eligible to receive the Hypocrates scholarship of HIU in Vietnam. If it was earlier, the language barrier was one of the difficulties for Vietnam in accepting international scholars. Nowadays, this struggle is gradually unleashed when many Universities contribute numerous elite educational programs or connect to many international programs fully in English. "I am very interested in cultures and educational programs in Southeast Asia. I live in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and spend a lot of time researching Vietnam at Hong Bang International University. Besides the crew of medic professors and the modern infrastructure, a comprehensive English program is one of my favorites. I registered at HIU right away," Ana Rebeca Muñoz Tejada stated. Besides, Olayiwola Oluwakeji Samson from Nigeria has successfully registered his name for the Medical Department at HIU this May. This guy expected to graduate as a Doctor and would like to come back to Nigeria to contribute to the Medical industry in his hometown. Olayiwola Oluwakeji Samson asserted that in Nigeria, there is a proportion of 1:2000, which means every doctor will take care of 200 patients. Therefore, the demand for medical training is developing. And education exports worldwide. In the past ten years, reminding international students to come to Vietnam for admission or graduation has been a peculiar occasion. However, it changed when domestic education reached a higher position. Instead of studying abroad, many young colleagues prefer the complete English programs or other international affiliated programs with an affordable cost cheaper than ten times.
Tumblr media
MA. Quyen Tram Thuy Tran - Vice President of HIU, asserted that HIU officially welcomed the first group of international colleagues admitted to school with the ultimate goal of becoming a preferable school for international students. Therefore, besides learning in lectures and clinics, international scholars will also have opportunities to learn Vietnamese and other remarkable Vietnamese cultures. Students could intern at many affiliated medical facilities such as hospital FV, hospital Thong Nhat, hospital Cho Ray, hospital Nguyen Trai, etc. At the same time, they will also have opportunities to work on other community practical learnings when they join these projects, including the HIU Care - the eye exam and dental care programs for high school students. "Studying at HIU, we are not only taught about skills but also how to love and sacrifice. So in the future, when they step outside of the world, they can confidently stand with their heads held high and proud to say, "These are doctors who graduated from Hong Bang International University," MA. Quyen shared. His Excellency Ambassador - Mr. Sanh Chau Pham, was impressive when many Vietnamese universities endeavored to become elite schools for international students. Therefore, when he gave a speech at the Welcome ceremony for Indian colleagues who came to Hong Bang International University majoring in Medical Study asserted that it brought a significant intention. BOX: Focus on designing the structure of the Healthcare HIU is a multi-majors University. The school comprises various programs and majors, including Health Science concentrates on principal sectors, such as Medical, Dental, Pharmaceutical, Nursing, Rehabilitation Techniques, Medical Examiner, etc. Those are currently training in thirty-six Vietnamese and English programs and affiliating worldwide in most essential sectors needed for social development.
