🐠 Hanauma Bay State Park 🐠 Hanauma Bay is one the best places for snorkeling on Oahu and a great beach to relax at. It was formed over 32,000 years ago by a volcano. What is left is now a crater filled with tons of fish and coral. 🐠 It costs $12 to get in and $3 if you choose to park in the parking lot. (Save money by parking in the nearby neighborhoods) 🐠 You can bring your own snorkel gear, or they have on site rentals. 9/11 A day to remember. For Americans 9/11 was a challenging day in our history. With almost 3,000 deaths many Americans were affected this day when 4 planes were highjacked and crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. . . For me, I was in elementary school and had just visited the towers a few weeks prior. My family lived just across the water. I’ve always had a tie to NYC since that is where my dad was born and raised. . . Now the World Trade Center area is pretty much rebuilt with a memorial and museum that is a must visit during a NYC trip. Panama City is definitely an underrated city. Founded by Spanish Conquistadors in 1519, there are tons of magical sites to see. When I visited I seriously had the best time exploring they city. Although I had transited the Panama Canal before, it was awesome to see it from the “other” side and watch ships goes through the Canal. Besides the Panama Canal, Panama City has a ton of areas to explore and some amazing food. This weekend I got the opportunity to visit the Sensorio: Field of Light Exhibit in Paso Robles, California. This art display by Bruce Munro opened in 2019. It contains over 58,000 fiber-optic stemmed solar powered spheres. Ken and Bobbi Hunter, the owners of the Sensorio property, saw Bruce Munro’s artwork at an exhibit in Uluru, Australia while on vacation. They thought an art display by him would be a spectacular addition to the Paso Robles area. Although only open through January 3, 2021, it is possible it may be extended longer. This fully outdoor experience offers all guests the chance to experience great art while social distancing. Paso Robles also makes for a great weekend getaway! . . Anyone else love ice cream? Ice cream is pretty much the only dessert I frequently eat. Whenever I’m on vacation I always have to find the local ice cream. . . On my 20th birthday I was in Italy as part of my study abroad program. Some of classmates surprised me and bought me gelato so I ended up having two gelatos at once! . . Once on a cruise I had ice cream 30 times in a week. . . In South Korea they had a foot tall ice cream for $1.60. In Singapore, I ate at my first Michelin started restaurant, Hawker Chan. This is the first Hawker (food stall) to ever get a Michelin Star! Thailand: The land of a bajillion temples as we liked to call it. Mostly because we visiting at least two temples a day. I thought Thailand was gorgeous but also didn’t think it lived up to the hype (unpopular opinion I know).
