The planes. Ah, the planes...

I have two 3+ meter homebuilt carbon / kevlar composite sailplanes that were competitive circa 2002 in my hands - and have placed -  in the Eastern Soaring League, USA.  They, and all the following stuff, are now in Bristol UK.

The sailplanes are competition grade so you need to be a competent flyer to handle them. Basic competence might include the ability to land upwind in a 20m diameter circle 4 out of every 5 times.

I also have a 2m balsa floater and a park flyer. Please see the photos.

The construction gear includes carbon tubes, one tapered - once intended for a Supra - glass in quantity, about a square meter of fuselage-weight Kevlar, a decent piece of wing-grade carbon fibre, and rather more glass of various light weights.

There's balsa for spar webs, 6061 tube for joiners, two pieces of 2400x600x50 Hiload 60 closed cell foam.

There's a box of servos, 72MHz receivers and a 72MHz Futaba transmitter, throttle controls, a rare earth motor from the early 90's, a typical miscellany some of which still works.

There are two 2-metre(ish) Carbon-Teflon push-rods (8 years in a box and still so sweet it's almost unbearable).

The vacuum stuff includes breather fabric, cotton wick perimeter breather, nylon bag, release film, Mylar, a vacuum gauge.

This package might suit a club that's looking to bulk up an annual jumble sale or auction.
