Someone sent me a nice discord message a couple of hours ago (I believe they had Rain or Rainstorm in their username), but I have a faulty mouse with a messed up left-click button, so when I went to view it I'm pretty sure it double clicked and I accidentally deleted/denied the message request since I can't find it now :')
It was a very sweet message from what I was able to see before my mouse yeeted it; I'm sorry for accidentally killing your message!!! Whoever sent it is more than welcome to resend or message something else if you see this, especially if it had a question or something <3 ; o ;

Never been crazy about gear, but going back and fourth between these two mice is insane, the one on the left is a logitech pro superlight, and it makes the one on the right a razer naga X feel like a cinder block.
But everyone should just use what they are comfortable with!

I've set it up so that I can instantly add
to the beginning and
to the end of a paragraph in VSCode by pressing one of my mouse buttons and I feel so powerful. "Oh, I forgot the tags on that passage!" *fixes it in less than a second*

Discovered about the Steam Link app for Android earlier this week, and, after some testing of it with a bluetooth game controller I have once I got back north on Thursday, decided I absolutely needed a bluetooth mouse and keyboard so I could play some of my Steam games during the periods of time when I'm taking a "have the bad foot up" break (sometimes as much as several times a day). Based on previous experience of mousing in bed, I also ordered a hard mouse pad to use, since that's much easier to deal with than a regular soft pad perched on top of a book.
Will need to experiment to find out what's the most comfortable setup of pillows and position to use for streaming Steam to my tablet; sitting up with foot elevated definitely was doing Bad Things to the muscle in back of my right thigh. Ow.
My new pill box (since I now have daily meds to remember to take) arrived in the same shipment. It's… rather larger than I was expecting. Almost hilariously so
I'd gone for an AM/PM box with arthritis friendly push-tabs to open the compartments, figuring that I am, after all, hitting the age when I can only expect to accumulate prescriptions going forward, so better to get a box that was a little more than I currently needed and had room to grow into. Plus one possible cause for the problems with my right foot is arthritis, so why not be proactive and go for a design that works with that. Also, when helping other people with their own pill boxes I've always hated struggling to open the friction latched kind *pictures lid resisting and then opening in just the wrong way, causing hand holding box to jerk, and pills to go flying everywhere*.
Had the realization earlier today that the problems with my foot means I'm currently living with chronic pain. Mostly only mild to moderate, thankfully, and controllable with over-the-counter painkillers, but with occasional severe spikes if I do things like put my weight on it on a bad position or something. It's definitely affecting my ability to do things like sleep properly, since it wakes me up at some point in the night once my before-bed ibuprofen and/or acetaminophen have worn off, and I can't always get back to sleep afterwards.
Realization spawned by only getting 4-5 hours sleep last night. Ugh. I need a nap. And a painkiller, my morning ibuprofen has long since worn off.
