The wait is over...
Shree Ram is coming home...
Tumblr media
500 years of oppression, suppression, struggle, agitation, tears, mourning, resilience, and most importantly, hope and faith.
I've only seen about 35 years of it, but I've seen enough to know how important this day is for us Hindus. Here's why my mutuals are seeing this on their dash.
Today, Shree Ram, who's the 7th Avatar of our God Vishnu, will finally return to his birthplace in the ancient city of Ayodhya--the place where the original temple dedicated to him had stood for millennia. That temple had been demolished and desecrated on command of an Islamic invader called Babar in 1528, and a mosque was built atop its ruins. Hence the 500 year struggle to reclaim it, which reached a critical point when the mosque was finally demolished in 1992.
The process to reclaim this sacred place and rebuild the temple was no walk in the park. The issue went up to the Supreme Court of India, the highest court in the country, and finally, after the favourable verdict, the construction of the temple started in May 2020.
Today, Shree Ram Chandra, the righteous, just and kind king who ruled Ayodhya thousands of years ago, returns home. It's not just an event of religious importance, it's a day of civilizational and cultural importance.
We're reclaiming our heritage.
Jai Shree Ram!
Happy Dwitiya Diwali!

Seek Lord Ram's Forgiveness, Because…": PM Modi On Ayodhya Temple
Addressing the large gathering after the 'pran pratistha' rituals at the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, "Our Ram has finally arrived." "I have come before you are witnessing the divine consciousness in the temple's sanctum sanctorum. There's so much to say but, but there's a lump in my throat. After unprecedented patience, innumerable sacrifices and penance, our Lord Ram has arrived. I congratulate the country on this occasion," the Prime Minister said.
Tumblr media
Ram Lalla, he said, will "no longer live in a tent". Saying that this moment of consecration is a blessing from Lord Ram, he said January 22 is "not a date on a calendar, but the dawn of a new era".
Equating the consecration ceremony with breaking free of a mindset of slavery, he said it is a blessing that we are alive to witness this historic event. "Even after thousands of years, people will remember this date, moment. It is Ram's supreme blessings that we are witnessing it," he said. He also sought forgiveness from the deity and said there must have been some lapse because of which it took so long to reach this point.
Saying that "Ram's existence was questioned", the Prime Minister said, "In India's Constitution, in its first page, there's Lord Ram. I thank the Supreme Court for maintaining the dignity of law."
Some people, he said, had warned that the construction of the Ram Temple will light a fire. "Such people could not understand the purity of India's social consciousness. The construction of this temple of Ram Lalla is also a symbol of the Indian society's peace, patience and mutual harmony. We can see this has not given birth to a fire, but an energy," he said.
"Ram is not a fire, he is an energy. Ram is not a dispute, he is a solution. Ram is not just ours, he is everyone's," the Prime Minister said, adding, "Today, we did not just see the pran pratishtha of Ram Lalla's idol, but also the pran pratishtha of the unbreakable unity of India."
Laying down a vision for the country's development in the future, the Prime Minister said, "Ram's temple has been built. Now what? Every citizen's consciousness should extend from dev (god) to desh (country) and from Ram to rashtra (nation)."

India Inc. and its changing hues in BJP’s India
Across the posh multi-storey homes of South Delhi, there is a new common theme. Saffron flags lie limp in the oppressive heat at the entrances of houses, residential housing societies and on scores of balconies, teeming with planters and elaborate windchimes. Distributed ahead of the Ram Temple inauguration, the saffron flags are emblazoned with the words Jai Shri Ram and remain as both a memory…

After a journey spanning over 550 years, this momentous occasion was not just a religious event but a national celebration, symbolizing unity and resilience.
The successful planning and execution of this grand event can be attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who orchestrated a campaign that captured the hearts and minds of millions across the country.
Tumblr media
Here's a glimpse into the strategies that made the Ram Mandir Inauguration a resounding success:
Prime Minister's Presence: With the tagline "Modi hai to Mumkin hai," Prime Minister Narendra Modi's endorsement brought unparalleled visibility to the event. His call to celebrate the occasion akin to Diwali further heightened anticipation and garnered widespread attention.
Influencer Engagement: Recognizing the power of social media influencers, the Uttar Pradesh government collaborated with prominent personalities across platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Their efforts in promoting stories related to the Ram temple, Ayodhya's development, and Lord Ram amplified the excitement leading up to the inauguration.
Brand Partnerships: Leading Indian brands seized the opportunity to align with the cultural significance of the event. Companies like TISA, Amul, and Paytm integrated the Ram Mandir Inauguration into their marketing strategies, contributing to the overall buzz and enthusiasm surrounding the occasion.
Celebrity Participation: Inviting popular celebrities, politicians, and even the cast of the Ramayana added a touch of glamour and nostalgia to the event. Their presence not only generated headlines but also fueled public interest and anticipation.
Inclusive Participation: In a remarkable display of inclusivity, every citizen was invited to attend the inauguration, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and unity.
Social Media Buzz: The event dominated social media platforms, with hashtags like #rammandirpranprathistha and #ayodhyaramtemple trending nationwide. Viral bhajans and songs further fueled the excitement, turning the inauguration into a national anthem of sorts.

Amitabh Bachchan visits Ram Mandir in Ayodhya to seek blessings, videos go viral
The 81-year-old actor will also be inaugurating a new showroom for jewellery brand Kalyan Jewellers in Ayodhya.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday was spotted in Ayodhya as he visited the recently built Ram temple. This comes weeks after the actor was in attendance at the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Tumblr media
As reported by several publications, the 81-year-old actor will also be inaugurating a new showroom for jewellery brand Kalyan Jewellers in Ayodhya. Amitabh Bachchan is the brand ambassador of Kalyan Jewellers. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday at 5 pm. With this launch, the company will make a foray into Ayodhya and mark the momentous milestone of its 250th showroom globally. Currently, the jewellery brand marks its presence across 23 states in India as well as 4 countries in West Asia.
In January 2024, following his attendance at the Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha along with Abhishek Bachchan, the actor took to his official blog to write, “A day filled with the relevance of divine spirit .. back from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya .. the glory, the celebration and the belief of faith .. immersed in the reckoning of the TEMPLE at Shri Ram's birth.. Not much can be said beyond this .. for faith does not possess description.”
Recent reports also claim that Amitabh Bachchan has bought a plot in Ayodhya. Mumbai-based developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) is working on that seven-star project.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next star in Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. He will also make his Tamil film debut with Vettaiyan headlined by Rajinikanth.
