Working with a deity for the first time and general brain dump
I had been working really hard on self improvement (which I have fallen off of but that's for later) and was noticing in my practice that I felt like someone was reaching out to me. This was like three months ago btw. So I was doing some general research until I got a very specific sign. A specific sign from the Roman Pantheon (which I was the most comfortable working with because I am Italian-American and I know when my family moved to America). I felt both very intensely about this being the correct deity I was feeling but because she is a minor goddess I was a bit insecure. Now I am not, I am very happy to work with her and I feel so much more confident with her influencing my work.
Have I neglected her recently because of company, job hunting, and midterms? Yes. Did the offerings I gave her today help? Partially, she seemed to think they were okay and were a good start to make it up to her since I have been neglectful. Yeah, I know. I think the wine and flowers were good I think I'm going to get her a new set of amethysts for her.
What's frustrating is despite doing weeks of research about signs from deities and then researched Psyche to make sure I wasn't misinterpreting anything is that I feel like I can not talk to anyone about working with her. Yes, I know she is not very well known but there are at least a hundred Roman deities. Not everyone can work with Bacchus or Minerva. And working with them is great, don't get me wrong. But like a lot of online witchy spaces only really want to talk about major deities and I think that's pretty unrealistic. Especially because a lot of these spaces can be pretty uninformed at times. Maybe I'm just being sensitive because not many other people want to hear about Psyche and how much I like working with her and how excited she is for me about some of the introspection I've been doing and the life changes I am making for the better.
Okay rant done, it's making the vibes turn sour and I've already burned a bunch of incense.
On a positive end note, after finishing a spell with her observation and placing it in my pillow case (It's not a jar don't worry I can go inot details if anyone wants) my cat immediately went on it. Feels like this is a good one but now I am sleepy from using up a lot of energy. Does that happen to anyone else after spell work? Not as bad as when I used blue moon water (I was exhausted for like a week), but still pretty sleepy. Alright thanks guys.

Adolescence part is hard, this stage you will encounter a lot of challenges and problems. Physical concerns, eating disorder, teen pregnancy, peer presure, parents and automy and many more. Thats why you must be prepared and ready getting these challenges. You are only a teenager once you're experiencing these things, but dont be rebillious go with the flow and try something good and new, trust your feelings study hard and seek happiness and regret nothing, challenge yourself and have the time of your life, and when you're feeling frightened about what comes next, don't be. Embrace the uncertainty. Allow it to lead you places. Be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind. As you create your own path towards happiness.

ADOLESCENCE is the period following the onset of puberty during which a young person develops from a child into an adult.
There comes a time in our lives where we are in the stage of preparing to be a fully developed person or human being. It is where we tend to know ourselves better and forget about the childish things that we did many years ago. This time we became more open with the reality that change is constant and we should accept that everyone of us go into a process of development which we are more expected to be responsible and knowledgeable of our own choices, decisions and actions. We slowly practice to be independent but wiling to take other people's advice for guidance. It does not happen instantly but gradually, that is brought about by your environment and the nurturing of the people around you especially your parents. It is discussed that Adolescence is divided into 3 stages; the Early Adolescence (10-13 years old), Middle Adolescence (14-16 years old) and Late Adolescence (17-19 years old).
*Each developmental stage in Adolescence is characterized by different milestones in the physical, cognitive and socioemotional domain.

STRESS
We frequently feel being down and exhausted. It has been taught to us that experiencing this sort of feelings or what we called stress is normal especially as we grow older. Encountering stress is part of being an adolescent and I tend to define stress as only negative factor in an individual but I have learned today that stress comes in two forms; the positive stress that makes a person productive, focus, and motivated and the negative stress that gives exhaustion, poor health, and breakdown effect to a certain person. Little did I know that stress can be a drive force of an individual to do better. With that, handling stress is really important because it really depends to a person how he/she coped up with the stress, if he/she will utilized and convert it into a challenge to do better or he/she will just keep to suffocate in stress and do nothing. In signifance, I reflected that I should manage my stress into something fruitful and befecial in developing myself. It is not necessary for me to be exhausted in stress instead I will make it as a challenge to surpass. These sources of stress such as social pressure, family relationships, academic pressure and self-doubt will be my driving force to be tougher. To end, stress is unavoidable and normal but I should ponder that embracing stress in a good manner is formidable and matured attitude in which It'll make myself stronger and capable of handling hurdles in the future.

Good morning world and thank you God for this wonderful day to start.
In our discussion today in our Perdev subject, we talk about how to encounter stress as a part of Adolescence. It was a good topic because it is so helpful and so productive. There was a quote saying: " It's not the stress that kills us, it's our reaction to it." by Hans Sleve and for me, he got a point about it. While we are experiencing adolescence, we should not stress ourselves. I understand that we should not focus a lot on our jobs, school and other things that gives us stress everyday, we shoul give our body and mind to relax and have fun. It's mot about working always, we need to relax and take time to enjoy the things that our mind and body is taking a rest.
Talking about the topic, it showed a graph between negative and positive effect of stress. Both good and bad things can create stress, even games made us stress. It also have 3 types of stress which are: Acute, Episodic Acute and Chronic Stress: Acute which is the most common and short term stress, Episodic which is the intermediate and the Chronic type which is the most destructive type. I personally experiencing the Acute stress always be cause of me creating things complicated. Also it discussed about its sources and my sources of stress comes from the Academic source. Lastly, we also discussed about some signs of stress and about coping strategies and we should apply these things to make our lives better and happy against problems.

January 27, 2021, first day of our Personal Development class with Ma’am Psyche Bahinting. It was a great and amazing discussion with ma’am, even though it was still our first class with ma’am, I already had learned a lot of things and especially with our first lesson which is all about the “ Getting to know One’s self”. There was an inspiring quote by Aristotle which states “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom” which gave me a hint about what Personal Development really is all about. At the next slide, there were sort of questions which pause me for a second, and I reflect to myself about “Do I really know myself?”, I was one of the lucky students who raised and shared my thoughts about that. Everything that I shared to the class about myself and everything that I know about myself all along, is what we called self-concept. I also learned the three essential components. As I have come to learn, self awareness is indeed important. The point of views that we stand concerning the experiences and happenings in this world and especially in our personal lives, greatly shapes for an individual the state of the world we are living and as well as his/her being. That is why, it is very important to have a positive mind, attitude and view in life.

The self-concept is an idea of the self created on the basis of one's own belief and the reactions of others and self esteem used to describe a person's overall sense of value. In other words, how much you really appreciate and love yourself.

Today is the first meeting of our class in Personal Development subject and it’s also our first meet in 2021. I thought that this subject is the same with our last year’s subject, Social Orientation. But it’s not, but it’s related. I thought that this subject is boring but when our teacher starts discussing, I suddenly got interested because the topic is about getting to know one’s self. I’m so excited for more lessons that we’re going to tackle.

We discussed the lesson 4 which is dealing with the some challenges if we reach the stage of adolescence. If i were called, my answer would be, " my well known expectation is like the things you or people wanted to happen in the future. We also emphasized about being influenced by the people that socialize in everyday's life and how it affects the behavior. While the next lesson which we discussed about encountering stress as a part of adolescence stage. Stress is experienced most likely by individuals who are continuously grow up as a person, especially reaching the adolescence. In this stage, we could encounter so many problems that usually can cause stress to us. There are some kinds of stress that can be acute, episodic acute or chronic, this may come from different sources such as social pressure, family relationships, academic pressure and even having self-doubt. Though we could be stressed due to different reasons. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. These feelings can sometimes feed on each other and produce physical symptoms, making me feel even worse.

Its our fourth day of class and I'm a bit late but still I join the class. our topic was about “Dealing with the challenges of adolescents stage”. For the past two years I was struggling with anxiety and it was really hard for me to manage my studies and my personal problems but I have no choice but to continue to fight my silent battles with the guidance of the lord. "Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.” by Helen Keller. But those suffering made me to become braver to face bigger problems/challenges in life. Because there's no other person who could help you but only yourself. Just think that every obstacle we encounter gives us opportunity to improve our circumstances. Life without challenges is boring. hahaha lol

I've learned a lot today, It is just kinda weird to talk about adolescence not now that I'm in my late adolescence. I just can't believe that time will just pass by and be responsible for everything. Besides being responsible for everything I'm still trying and thriving to strengthen my weakness. Even though it is stressful I just enjoy it and go with the flow. And also I've learned a new guitar song it's Taylor Swift- Crazier, I accidentally heard it when I'm scrolling in my Facebook news feed, I just like the style on how he sings it was a covered song by Arthur Miguel - Crazier

The topic for today was the continuation of lesson 3 which was discussed since yesterday. We started tackling about the things we used to do when we were young that we aren’t doing anymore in the present. There were a lot of things that I used to do before such as playing with my toys but as the time went by, I have reached the certain point of life wherein I can’t play with toys anymore, though I’m still attracted to some toys in the present. This is because of getting mature as we develop ourselves while we are in the stage of adolescence. In this stage also, we are able to meet our peers that are playing some roles in our lives. Sometimes, because of having peers and social life, most of us can’t avoid comparing ourselves to others, and this manner may have affect us positively or negatively. What matters the most is that, the decision of taking insecurities as a motivation to be a better person is within your hands.

Yesterday we started our second semester and our first class is the Personal Development with ma'am Psyche. The yesterday's weather is kinda cold and it is also my favorite weather so i feel sleepy throughout the discussion. But luckily i resisted my drowsiness. Our topic is all about on how well do you know yourself? Do i really know myself? What are the things that i know about myself? This are the some question that we dicussed yesterday. And because of that i question myself if do i really know myself. I also learned that the self concept is our perception , how we define and understand ouselves. This subject helps me to know more about myself, how others see me as a person and what are the things that they know about me that I do not yet know myself. I hope that with this subject i learn something from myself and i can't wait to know it!

In this lesson, we focus on one of the major important parts in our body which is the BRAIN. The Brain is the control center of the body, this fascinating body part is a delicate, gel-like organ that is considered to be the most powerful organ in our body. Various studies and scientific efforts committed to the comprehension of the brain have bring about several new insights about its parts, and as to how it functions together and independently from one another, and the overall impact on the functioning of an individual. Like all organs in our body it have many parts that will aid for it to function properly. The parts of the brain are FOREBRAIN, MIDBRAIN, HINDBRAIN. We also have the 4 lobes of the brain which are the FRONTAL, PAREITAL, TEMPORAL and OCCIPITAL. The brain have 2 hemispheres, the left and the right that have each specific function and purpose. Furthermore we talked about brain dominance mind-mapping, lateralization, celebral dominance, library maps, problem solving maps, presentation map and tunnel timeline map.

SELF-CONCEPT
In this modern world, building oneself totality is a challenge. It is a hurdle that everyone experience but in this particular subject which is personal development piques my interest for the topics are correlated in developing ourselves. Today, Ms. Psyche highlighted the sense of self-concept to a person and its essential components which are physical characteristics, personality traits, and social identity. One of the things that I have learned today is that we, human beings have individual differences in perceiving ourselves that includes negative and positive cognizance. The factors that influence self-concept and self-esteem were discussed in today’s lesson. The different theory that inline with the concept in oneself were explained thoroughly and Ms. Psyche presented the steps to become more self-aware for developing oneself. I would like to emphasize that understanding self-concept and self-awareness is a stepping stones to become a better version of ourselves therefore reflecting and assessing oneself is like developing and building your characteristics.

Getting to know one’s self
On our first day, we discuss about getting to know one’s self. On our discussion, I understand the meaning of self concept which explains the representation of who I am. It also means demonstrating that you identify and recognize yourself as a human being that is multi dimensional (physical, spiritual, emotional, social, and moral) human being. Also I now know that physical characteristics, personality traits and social identity are the components of self concept. To be shorten, physical characteristics is about on how you look, personal traits is about your attitude while social identity is referring to the social group where we belong.
Since I am a teenager and doesn’t really know myself more, I gained interest on this topic and learned that we need to apply self esteem. I need to apply self-awareness to understand deeper of my emotions, belief systems, and patterns in behavior. I also need to apply to be not judgmental and not biased in assessing myself. Lastly, I should understand that we need to apply these Steps to Become More Self Aware which are: Ask yourself why, Delay gratification, Take feedback constructively, Let go of biases, Use tools to know yourself and Reflect often.
