📸 Close up! 🪡 Let me share a little bit of my Swiss-inspired WIP embroidery. I came to Switzerland prepared for all odds: 1️⃣ What if I want to needlepaint a portrait of Marilyn with a bird? Bring the portrait! 🦜 2️⃣ What if instead I feel the urge to embroider big strokes in tulle? Bring the tulle! 🎨 3️⃣ And what about the my personal project to translate to thread zoological illustrations of Sixteenth to Eighteenth-century? Take lots of little scraps of cotton fabric and the green thread! 📖 4️⃣ 5️⃣ 🔢 Don’t forget the Íñigo Montoya hoop, the materials for this new workshop you are enrolled in and the two crochet portraits in progress… pss, and take the threads for a new one just in case! 🙈 🏔 What happened you say? On the first day I got inspired by the landscape, the bright blue sky and hiking the Swiss mountains. 🧵I’m still amazed that the “limited” (ehem… define limited, says @mostlymaths ) palette I brought with me for the other projects - mainly portraits - is perfect and enough for this landscape embroidery.
