Metalesque Fest (put on by my troupe @signofthebeastburlesque) is in TOP FIVE/FINALS running for "Best Specialty Event" in the Willamette Week "Best of Portland" Poll. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us get here! We'd REALLY APPRECIATE IT if you could vote one last time to help us win! THIS IS THE LAST ROUND of voting.....and it ends on May 31. We work our asses off for Metalesque Fest, and this year, as we expand the Fest to three nights, the extra boost in media visibility if we win would mean so much to us! This is the first and ONLY event of it's kind in the World! And it was born, right here in Portland, from the brain of Vera Mysteria, our incomparable host and it is run by local women entrepreneurs who bust their asses to make it awesome. Hai Fleisch and I do just about all of the pre-production ourselves; from designing logos, creating promo materials, pounding the streets with our staple guns putting up posters, screen-printing T-shirts, building our website, juggling social media accounts, curating our incredible cast of performers and rock-solid crew.... Show night we are performers, but we never stop working to make sure the show slays. Everything we don't do ourselves we entrust to local creatives that we respect and admire, because we love this event and the community around it!
