Prick Scott, aka Voldemort, came up with the plan to end Social Security and Medicare while spending last summer on his yacht off the coast of Italy. The richest member of the Senate literally wants to deprive poverty level seniors of their own decades of contributions. Moscow Mitch told Scott to shut his big mouth because the plan would (and did) hurt the Republikkkans in the mid-terms. When Scott was governor of Florida he ran the biggest Medicare fraud in US history.

Now Scott is denying this was his baby after Biden outed him to the general public (most of us knew this for months). There’s even video of John Roberts (Fox News) calling Scott out on this plan. He expected a softball interview and kept denying it while Roberts kept repeatedly stating it’s written into your 11 point plan, the plan you wrote.

Only us news junkies were aware of this. If Biden hadn’t called it out at the State of the Union the press wouldn’t be reporting on it and the Republikkkans might have quietly ended Social Security and Medicare.

Senator Mike Lee is another Republikkkan prick caught on tape saying saying he wanted to pull those programs “up by the roots” and throw them out. He says his speech was taken out of context and is showing a manipulated version on Twitter to refute what we’ve seen and heard with our own eyes and ears.

Republikkkans think everyone who isn’t rich is lazy and shouldn’t get a penny from the government because it would only encourage everyone to be on welfare living it up. As DINO Joe Manchin said, the poor only piss their money away on booze, cigarettes, and scratch tickets. He’s also on tape stating that if you want to play internet detective and dig it up.

That’s how compromise should work. That’s how the parliamentary system of multiple parties works in Europe. Too many parties for any one to have full control or full power. So coalitions have to be formed in order to create a majority. Our two party system has devolved into dysfunctional government. Worse yet, we no longer have a two party system equally interested in governance. The MAGA Fascist Domestic Terrorists are not interested in governance. Are there six moderate Republicans willing to work with the Democrats to form a coalition? Conservatism (big C) has always had one goal and little c general conservatism is a myth. Conservatism has the singular goal of maintaining an aristocracy that inherits political power and pushing others down to create an under class. In support of that is a morality based on a person’s inherent status as good or bad - not actions. There is a key difference between conservatives and others that is often overlooked. For liberals, actions are good, bad, moral, etc and people are judged based on their actions. For Conservatives, people are good, bad, moral, etc and the status of the person is what dictates how an action is viewed.

In the world view of the actual Conservative leadership - those with true wealth or political power - , the aristocracy is moral by definition and the working class is immoral by definition and deserving of punishment for that immorality. This is where the laws don't apply trope comes from or all you’ll often see “rules for thee and not for me.” The aristocracy doesn't need laws since they are inherently moral. Consider the divinely ordained king: he can do no wrong because he is king, because he is king at God’s behest. The anti-poor aristocratic elite still feel that way.

This is also why people can be wealthy and looked down on: if Bill Gates tries to help the poor or improve worker rights too much he is working against the aristocracy.

If we extend analysis to the voter base: conservative voters view other conservative voters as moral and good by the state of being labeled conservative because they adhere to status morality and social classes. It's the ultimate virtue signaling. They signal to each other that they are inherently moral. It’s why voter base conservatives think “so what” whenever any of these assholes do nasty anti democratic things. It’s why Christians seem to ignore Christ.

While a liberal would see a fair or moral or immoral action and judge the person undertaking the action, a conservative sees a fair or good person and applies the fair status to the action. To the conservative, a conservative who did something illegal or something that would be bad on the part of someone else - must have been doing good. Simply because they can’t do bad.

To them Donald Trump is inherently a good person as a member of the aristocracy. The conservative isn’t lying or being a hypocrite or even being "unfair" because - and this is key - for conservatives past actions have no bearing on current actions and current actions have no bearing on future actions so long as the aristocracy is being protected. Lindsey Graham is "good" so he says to delay SCOTUS confirmations that is good. When he says to move forward: that is good.

To reiterate: All that matters to conservatives is the intrinsic moral state of the actor (and the intrinsic moral state that matters is being part of the aristocracy). Obama was intrinsically immoral and therefore any action on his part was “bad.” Going further - Trump, or the media rebranding we call Mitt Romney, or Moscow Mitch are all intrinsically moral and therefore they can’t do “bad” things. The one bad thing they can do is betray the class system.

The consequences of the central goal of conservatism and the corresponding actor state morality are the simple political goals to do nothing when problems arise and to dismantle labor & consumer protections. The non-aristocratic are immoral, inherently deserve punishment, and certainly don’t deserve help. They *want* the working class to get fucked by global warming. They *want* people to die from COVID19. Etc.

If she were an ethical person who could live up to a position of great dignity, Donald Trump would not have nominated her in the first place. As the poet says, when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. Barrett showed you who she is when she received and accepted this nomination. Believe her.

Republicans are not rushing to cram Barrett onto the court despite her manifest unfitness for the job, but because of it. They cannot achieve their political goals if a majority of the Supreme Court respects the rule of law, the will of the American people, or even the institution of the judiciary itself. What the rest of us can or should do about a whole political faction having this mindset is a hard question, but the facts of the situation are not complicated.

This is, of course, also why they support Trump. They realize it’s not necessarily going to win them any friends at the country club to say that they’re wannabe fascists groveling to lick the boot of a deranged con man. So they hedge. They disapprove of Trump, they don’t like the tweeting, but …. judges! It’s such a complicated conundrum! The poor dears! Look, if taking over the federal judiciary with a bunch of rabid reactionaries made “should I support the destruction of American democracy or not” a tough call, then they need the rest of us to step in and make it easy for them. If Democrats win in November, the democracy restoration agenda in HR-1 needs to come along with a massive re-balancing the scales of justice. Court reform is long overdue anyway, including a significant expansion of the Supreme Court. The Biden administration must add hundreds of qualified, ethical judges to the federal bench. They don’t need to be radical ideologues to balance out the reactionary Republicans that Moscow Mitch has packed the courts with, they just need to be small-d democrats with a commitment to the rule of law. Progressives can take it from there.

This is both the simplest and the easiest solution to the problem of the poisoned federal judiciary, which is why Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris have been asked about it. This is not even a question that has been seriously considered in our lifetimes, so I’d suggest you do the easy thing and listen to the answer.

WALLACE: [I]f Senate Republicans, go ahead and confirm justice Barrett, there has been talk about ending the filibuster, or even packing the court, adding to the nine justices there. You call this a distraction by the president, but in fact it wasn't brought up by the President, it was brought up by some of your Democratic colleagues in Congress. So my question to you as you have refused in the past to talk about it: Are you willing to tell the American people tonight, whether or not you will support either ending the filibuster or packing the court.

BIDEN: Whatever position I take on that, that'll become the issue -- the issue is, the American people should speak. You should go out and vote. We're in voting now, vote and let your senators know how strongly you feel. Vote now, in fact let people know it is your senators. I'm not going to answer the question.

TRUMP: Why won’t you answer the question -- radical left -- well, listen.

This isn’t wacky Uncle Joe bumbles us into gay marriage, okay. If Biden didn’t want his answer to be news, he could have just said “no” the way he does with other radical-sounding proposals. Instead, he and his running mate are choosing to take heat for their conspicuous refusal to rule it out. You are free to get pundit brain about that if you want, but my suspicion is that they’re giving us an answer without giving Republicans a sound bite. It’s the simplest explanation.

This is clearly true. This is why they are staying off the record for now. They're watching the polls to gauge trump's toxicity.

If they're going to get burned either way -- and they are -- they have to chose how. There's only one Pied Piper of Trash, and that's trump. But unless they are willing to support trump as a president for life, they've got to wean their party off him sooner or later. Sooner gives them a bit of time to begin rebuilding before November 2020.

trump is surprisingly vulnerable. While these Senators are vulnerable to backlash from trump's furious voters, it's also going to be easy to expose wrong-doing after corruption after poor judgment after crime of trump's, under the guise that they all just "got fooled" by him. By way of the shame they've been oblivious to for some time, they might effectively whittle trump's core support down to the most hard-core deplorables.

These Republicons are grossly complicit, and have been all along, and certainly could have tried to rein in trump at any time. But it will be both tempting and prudent for them to get him out, and then angle for a sympathy play combined with a tribal plea for solidarity.

trump is scaring them, too, with what he may do next if he's absolved of what he's already done. If he were younger, they might risk a president for life. But trump is clearly showing decline.

They'll want to pull a consensus together among themselves. But as we saw with Nixon, if there are enough votes, trump too may resign...in favor of running a polemic network empire, with all the fun and influence, yet less pressure. A pardon will be a difficult hurdle to get past, but there are clear advantages to them if trump is yelling futilely from prison.

McConnell has no bribe he can offer his Senators, and no punishment they don't already face from conservative voters. McConnell does not have a winning strategy here either.

A CUPPA JOE for 21 January 2020: Let the Games Begin

Today, the Impeachment Trial of trump begins and I’d like to remind you all of something. This is not a trial to see whether or not trump is going to be removed from office and then tried for his crimes. This is not about trump. We already KNOW Moscow Mitch is going to do everything he can to whisk this whole thing on through, sloppily and haphazardly, and he’s going to exonerate the permanently impeached angry orange.

 This trial is about you. It’s about all of us in the United States, and the world is watching. WE are the ones on trial today. We KNOW beyond shadow of a doubt right now before this even begins that trump is guilty of a multitude of corruption charges and abuse of power to enrich himself. It’s been clear since before, during and after the Mueller Report. There’s enough evidence in the REDACTED version of it to warrant trump’s removal from office. The recent interview with Parnas has just pissed a ton of gas onto this dumpster fire and we know it, even if a fifth of what he said is true.

 Here’s what’s likely to happen. Fuck-all nothing. McConnell’s “rules” set this sham of a trial up to be done after midnight and during a time that will minimize the time Chief Justice Roberts can attend. He’s setting things up so that not only will new evidence NOT be admissible, but that the EXISTING evidence won’t be either. He thinks he’s got enough GOP support to pull this off, and he may be right. The Democrats have many, many charges to throw at this administration, but so far they’ve lead with their weakest hand and everyone’s having a nutter over it.

 WE are on trial now. WE must decide if this is a severe miscarriage of justice being carried out by the GOP and the Senate, of if we’re going to show the world that we simply don’t give a flying fuck and that we’re perfectly happy to let a corrupt bag of dicks tear down what little is left of our Republic and full-on burn the Constitution to ashes as we slip into Kleptocracy and become a Oligarchy; a Fascist state run by the rich and supported by the feckless idiots who can’t be bothered to study a bit of political science on their own because schools don’t really seem to teach it anymore.

 WE THE PEOPLE are the ones on trial here. We’ve literally reached a point where we’re trying to save not only our nation, but to save sanity, reason, our place on the world stage, and most importantly, the planet itself. If the GOP doesn’t hold an actual, fair trial complete with accrued evidence from before the submission of the Articles of Impeachment as well as after and allow for the calling of Witnesses (like an ACTUAL TRIAL does and this IS a trial) then they’ll have demonstrated that they are irrefutably corrupt and MUST be recalled by their states and summarily FIRED. They CAN do that. Kentucky, for instance, CAN recall McConnell and fire his sorry ass if they 1- even KNEW they could do that (it’s not like the GOP would make that public knowledge) and 2- really WANTED TO. The eyes of the nation are looking at them and wondering “Why do you keep sending this asshole to DC?”

 EVERY Senator today is on trial. We, the VOTERS are the judges, juries, and executioners come time for the election. If YOUR members of Congress have been hampering the investigation into ‘Individual 1’ and have supported measures to protect him from the reach of Justice, then you had damn well take notice because one day it may be YOUR guy on the dock and looking at a trial. The GOP had NO problem with interviewing everyone-and-their-mother during Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial but now the complete opposite is the accepted norm for trump? Fuck off, GOP; seriously? Right out in the open you’re doing this crap? You don’t even pretend to want to carry out justice anymore. YOU are the ones on trial, GOPers. YOU on the Left aren’t out of the woods either. If you Dems don’t get your heads out of your asses up there at the DNC and LEARN from 2016 that we are in a time where brave, bold measures are needed to unfuck the situation we’re in and that a centrist, “Status Quo” candidate will only get trump re-elected come 2020, then We the People need to replace ALL of you from the top down apparently.

 Once this sham of a trial is done and over with, and it will be oddly quick and not remotely thorough, trump is going to walk back to the White House or, more than likely, Mar-A-Lago, and sleep like a babe. This WILL happen. He’s going to curl up to go to sleep, laughing the whole time because not only did he win, but We the People LOST. We ALL lose this trial. Rule of Law will not mean fuck-all NOTHING. What little respect there is left coming from our allies around the world will be gone. Nobody will trust the USA be it fighting terrorism or trade agreements. Meanwhile, the GOP will continue to wield power, your rights will wane away, and the economy, while seeming great for the rich twats on Wall St. will continue to be stagnant for the Average Joes out there and this notion of the “Middle Class” will become simply “The Working Poor” altogether.

I mean, face it- the Middle Class are the Millionaires. The Upper Class- Billionaires. The Poor- That’d be YOU. You think you can retire at a certain age? You think your pension will carry you through retirement? (I hear most of you asking ‘my what?’ here) You think you’re safe from crippling medical bills? You think the GOP cares about YOU? Don’t be thick. You think Democrats are coming to save the world? Bollocks. They’re paid to lose. Centrist assholes like Biden are the GOP if yesteryear. This is why Clinton lost in 2016, people. We the People do NOT want the goddamn status quo, but the Dems will offer us that because we’re spiraling down the drain under the GOP so to them, they’ll get to keep the corporate cash because they’ll be slowing down the rate of decay compared to the GOP. Yeah; great choice, Democrats.

 Until we get more BRAVE Democrats willing to take a Progressive stand and call the Corporate Dems out on their bullshit and make trump and his cohorts accountable for their crimes, we as a nation are going to lose this trial that We the People are under right now. We ALL are going to lose, from the stupid fuckwits who thinks trumps just all that, to the frustrated, disenfranchised Independent voters who are going to throw their hands up and just NOT vote because there’s NOTHING to vote for. We are ALL on trial today. Today we will see, not the shit-show going on about trump, but the absolute, Olympic-grade fuckery of the Senate under the GOP, and if YOU, the Average Joe, don’t get active and recall those GOP assholes or at the VERY LEAST vote their asses out of office come November and hold them ACCOUNTABLE, then YOU lost this trial. We will have lost our nation, and from here on out, as the wings of liberty collapse, the wages plummet, and the inevitable rumblings of revolution grow louder to the point where the nation collapses into the next Civil War, we’ll have nobody to blame but We the People Who Did Nothing and we’ll deserve the horrors that follow. Let’s not let it get to that, eh?

Once this little shit-show is over, it’s up to YOU to get the current GOP shit-birds OUT so that an actual FAIR trial can happen. If Pelosi is every bit this legendary mega-mind her fans are raving about, then she’ll see to it that NEW charges are compiled and that trump becomes the first to be impeached TWICE. With a new Senate and a REAL trial to work with, maybe then justice will be carried out. Today’s inevitable debacle will be, or at least SHOULD be a wakeup call to ALL of us that the GOP is unwilling to uphold the Rule of Law that oddly enough the rest of us are expected to obey. The time to hold them and their supporters accountable is past due- Democrats needed to take the Senate last election cycle, not JUST the House. It wasn’t this big Blue Wave like they’re advertising. Loss of the Senate has led to where we are now and that’s on We the People. This is why there’s a mile high stack of passed, bi-partisan legislation sitting on McConnell’s desk right now collecting dust- because ‘We the People’ allowed him to remain in charge of the “Get Nothing Done” Senate.

 So, I wish you good luck today. Pay attention, because with our current track record here in the US, We the People seem incapable of actually having the balls to call out our own government’s fuckery and we’re about to see nothing happen at all and the consequences will be the collapsing of the pillars of which hold this nation up. We’re witnessing history with this, and I’m betting that this is the beginning of a very horrific end of the United States of America. This is, of course, a bet that I’d be more than happy to lose.

Last month, Moscow Mitch acknowledged the Republican Party had a better chance of winning control of the House than the Senate, citing the quality of the candidates, some of whom Trump endorsed and Rick Scott played a role in recruiting. "Senate races are just different — they're statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome," Moscow Mitch said.

That’s all code speak for: we cannot gerrymander the Senate because it’s a state wide race, so the quality of the candidate comes into play. And it is the corrupt fucking gerrymandering that allows your shitty candidates to control not only Congress but also state House seats. Moscow Mitch basically acknowledges that the house of representatives has poor quality, i.e. shitty, people. 

Let’s change all that and send these poor quality people packing this November with a blue tidal wave.

Convicted Russian Agent Maria Butina Sent Back Home:  Russian national Maria Butina, who was convicted and jailed in the US last April for being a Russian agent, during which time she admitted infiltrating and funneling influence money to the NRA, U.S. conservative activists and Republican politicians - has finally arrived back in Moscow after being released from prison early by US officials.

OK, so where the hell is the NRA supposed to get all their cash from now?  From members?  Good luck with that!  I mean, you bet NRA cadre are now running around like madmen asking “where the hell are Boris & Natasha  - now that we really need them?”

And good grief, to think that poor Wayne LaPierre just bought himself one of those brand spanking new, French-style country estates just outside Dallas.  And by God, those damn mansions don’t just pay for themselves.

Anyway, before boarding the plane back to Russia, Ms Butina gracefully thanked all her loyal supporters, including fellow NRA gun lobbyists, Trump voters and of course - Russian-American President Vladimir Putin and his Russian oligarchs.  

Then, in a very moving proclamation that brought many Republican leaders to tears, President Trump and Mitch McConnell read a joint statement - thanking Maria Butina for her service.
