I haven't watched the anime in forever so I can't speak to anything about Ash (I'm sorry, I am a contest/egoshipping, I don't pay attention to him at all) but I WILL SAY the way Harley and Drew would absolutely punch each other during the first grand festival if this wasn't a kids show is very funny to me.

The idea of clavell helping comfort his students, especially MC, after nightmares has been floating around my head. Cuz going into Area Zero with a group of people, only then to face some of the hardest stuff alone with no guarantee they would come back to help... that cannot be good mentally...

Yessss. I wrote a brief ish fic recently about Clavell speaking to Geeta to discuss allll the sort of support he's trying to give his students.

My thoughts are that he does the work: Hiring more counselors, improving systems, improving in-school culture surrounding mental health etc.

I had assumed the school was not doing very well prior to his appointment + the new staff. (There was bullying, late enrollment notices, lack of support for students like Arven etc.) So he has a lot of work cut out for him. His big heart also means reaching out to all the students involved in Area Zero personally, checking on them and their wellbeing wherever possible :)

Tbh he himself needs a break, as I've characterised him as the sort who'd stretch themselves too thin with his compassion. I have a soft spot for characters who burn out from whatever it is that drives them/whatever they're passionate about lol. It's not impossible in my eyes for a day where Clavell is too tired to deal with everything, instead finding comfort/compassion from all the people who he helped instead! :D

When Akari and Ingo comes to present day, I like to imagine that they would still react very negatively to seeing wild Paras (Akari being freaked out at the sight of them, Ingo has visible disgust and annoyance looking at them) with their loved ones confused since (before being isekai’d to Hisui) they never showed any meaningful reaction to Paras before

you are absolutely correct on the grounds of me also negatively reacting to seeing Paras after playing pla. why are they so needlessly violent what is up with them

however I think Ingo seems like the type to have eventually made friends with the Paras since they're both poison type and also very similar to joltik! something about them is familiar to him so he lets them crawl all over him. he thinks their bloodlust is charming

2: what's your favorite starter? Totodile, hands down. 5: game everyone seems to adore but you don't see the hype: No idea. It's been ages since I've played a standard pokemon game (the last one I bought was Sun, unless we count Arceus in standard idk). I also haven't played any spin-offs. So let's just say N/A

10: a pokemon you prefer the first/middle evo over the final: I always though Poliwrath was a bit goofy and prefer Poliwhirl

11: do you have any pokemon merch? (toys, cards, etc) Once upon a time I did. Kind of surprised I don't at the moment. Maybe I should get a figurine. I would go with Lugia.

29: pokemon urban legend/creepypasta you fully believed at one point: You see, I'm old. I got Pokemon Gold with the special tinted Gameboy Color for that version of the game. Most of it was just trying to do things from the anime to work in the game, like evolving a slowpoke by finding a shelder.

Also, bonus because you are cool and I really want to answer this question. 14: favorite theme in the games? (a town theme, character theme, etc. a song) The park theme from G/S/C. I think it is one of the most beautiful themes in gaming. I put it up there with the song of healing from Majora's Mask and the Breath of the Wild theme.

Question is it normal for a garchomp to be overprotective of me? He doesn't like anyone else but me and he tolerates my other Pokémon ok so I'm not worried.

It's within the normal range for a Garchomp, but a bit concerning. Assuming nothing traumatic has happened to prompt that protective drive, you might want to find a local dragon expert who can help you with socialization training.

Alternatively, if there's an inactivity aspect involved, they might need a little battle enrichment. Double battles in particular could be good to get them appreciating the rest of your team. (Just be careful with the move Earthquake!)

In the this verse, Mariko is still the little high-class girl she used to be before being recruited from Conton. I believe most of her Pokémons would be given to her by her parents, except for a few she would probably adopt on her own once at Rosegold Repairs.

Eevee: her parents bought Mariko one in the hope she would evolve him as something refined, like an Espeon. Mariko, however, silently promised the little thing she'd never force him to become anything he wouldn't want to be.

Vulpix: I can see Mariko's mother having a pedigreed Ninetails, and probably gifting Mariko a Vulpix from the same lineage. Mariko finds it cute, but too shy to interact with it freely.

Meowth: similarly to Vulpix, probably gifted to Mariko from her father, who I can see owning a Persian. Mariko doesn't interact much with it, and the Meowth mostly spends his time getting spoiled and sleeping on expensive pillows.

Fletchling: locked inside Cynara's house under Hit's supervision, Mariko doesn't have many chances of venturing outside at first, so most of her interactions with the natural world are from the window. I can see her taking the habit of leaving crumbs on the windowshill to attract a cute red birb in the attempt of befriending it -- and eventually, succeeding.

Rockruff: probably adopted from the streets around Rosegold Repairs, Mariko took the puppy with him feeling they were kindred lost souls. I can see the Pokémon beoming quite protective towards her, and probably evolving in a Lycanrock, Midday or Dusk form.

Mimikyu: ok, hear me out -- what if Rosegold Repair was actually haunted? And what if Mariko insisted that she saw a funny-looking doll moving on its own in the garage at night, maybe while running there hiding from Nucleotide after an argument? What if, little by little, she ended up befriending the ghost, even?

He gave me my Ponyta, which has since evolved into a Rapidash. A shiny one, albeit it. I love it to pieces. I gifted him one as well, and we often ride them together. It's very romantic.

9. Which Pokemon do you associate most with them, even if you can't see them owning it?

Mudsdale, but also the shiny Rapidash and Ponyta I mentioned above.

10. Which Pokemon location would you imagine you and your F/O living in?

The desert somewhere, probably. Or we'd travel, either or is good for me. So long as I'm with him and we have time for...things. 😉
