Prompt/Headcanon/Ficlet: I just KNOW Maxie is a nerd with a dying desire to talk endless hours about his inventions. When you interact with him in Pokemas, he wants to talk about the suit Team Magma has designed, but he also apologizes for being carried away.

This whole deal just makes me headcanon that Maxie is indeed very lonely when sharing his passions. He sees Clemont and Sophocles rejoicing their inventions and being super excited about it, and he yearns that because sure, he has scientists working for Team Magma, but they're not his friends? He could talk to Cyrus but the man is just so depressing, calling him out whenever Maxie shows the slightest sign of excitement.

So one day Maxie is just walking down the shore. He's really saddened, to the point that he doesn't notice Archie is there until he bumps into his large back.

"A-Archie? My apologies. I was... distracted."

The Aqua leader raises an eyebrow. He usually replies with a grin and a loud laughter whenever he sees Maxie, but his rival looks pretty blue tonight.

"Ya okay, Maxie-boy?"

"I... Yes. It's just a silly thing, really. No need to bother you with such personal concerns..."

"Ah, c'mon! It's not like I'll bite or somethin'! I may be your rival but we're not enemies anymore. We even called a truce and all!"

"Well... In that case..."

And so Maxie confesses that he often feels lonely for not having a friend to share his inventions and deeds with, to which Archie feels deeply touched.

"Y'know what? I could hear more about your inventions. Sure, I'm not a nerd like you, but I do understand the excitement of talkin' about somethin' you love. That's what we do when fighting over land and sea, after all, isn’t it?" he grins softly.

Maxie's heart skips a beat, and their eyes meet in the exact moment the bright of the stars reflect on Archie's deep blue hues.

The Magma leader then chuckles and returns the smile, thanking him for everything. No one makes Maxie feel that way but Archie.

Yes and no on the cosplay thing? It's always been super casual and borderline closet cosplay but it was always fun! You don't have to be good to enjoy it! I haven't done any for like 3yrs but I do have plans with my roommates for a group cosplay! And there's a few characters I want to cosplay myself so I do plan on getting back into it!

Also yes! Please! I would love to see a mistress of evil saga Blankshipping style! It would be so sad! But so good and heartfelt! And then regret message?! AGH! MY HEART!

I was thinking about the Mistress of Evil saga, and like I am torn, you know?

My brain just immediately goes "Make Emmet the one who does the terrible things out of love and sacrifices himself to allow Ingo to get away." I'm a big fan of the self-sacrificing younger twin angle on Emmet, being cute and seemingly carefree, but ultimately working hard to make things fun and exciting for the brother he looks up to. He says that he'll do whatever it takes to make Ingo's wishes come true in PokeMas (regarding the battle tracks on Paiso). Ingo had just been wishing out loud about his desires, and Emmet without pause went "Let's do it." Ingo was surprised, so even he may not realize how devoted to him Emmet is.

On the other hand, I do love Emmet being the bratty one with Ingo being the "I love you and would kill even people important to me" one. The one time he makes the kitty mouth is when he is executed in Emmet's place. "Ara? Oyatsu no jikan da wa." (Oh? It's snack time.) Hf. That line still makes me ~(>_<。) Can you imagine Ingo, catching eyes with Emmet in the crowd? Ugh.

There's an entire extended saga to this, so I guess it depends on how far you want to go. Them being reborn into the Subway Masters of now, leading to past life flashbacks when Ingo is torn away again into Hisui.

What in the submas twins appeals to you?

I do love both their designs but i don't know why I'm more inclined to Ingo, so I'm asking to get a better idea of what appeals to others .

Goshh theres so many factors.

Submas are just so well designed, great thematic choices; yin yang, contrasting black white colours - which is also the name of the games they debuted in! If I don't know anything about pokemon and you tell me these are the mascots for the games id believe you. And possibly the Greek theatre masks (smiling/frowning faces)? Also i love characters wearing uniforms in general so they're a big plus

They look the same and wear similar outfits but each are still unique individually, from their choice of personal colours, frowny/smiling faces, speech patterns etc.

Also!!! They support and care each other, and they battle together with synergy!

I rly like these battle quotes they're so nice

Here's where i list some personal reasons for liking Ingo: his overall silhouette and colour reminds me of this other character im obsessed with (Raidou Kuzunoha from Devil Summoner) even the sideburns are almost similar! I just thought they both look so cool

I also need to state that even tho I'm like this now, i didn't really care about submas before, i was like huh nice designs and they have cool fanart, but i dont go here i dont even know much about Unova. It's not until 2021 that i changed my mind, when Pokemas released the subway twins right after Maxie and Archie

And they added new unique lines, one of them is this

Instantly my heart was stolen 💖💖💖🥺🥺🥺 my favourite type of characters has always been the 'tough outside, soft inside' and while ingo isn't rly 'tough' i have always seen him as the 'serious' one due to the frown and thought he's the more professional/mature, no nonsense type of guy but this show of vulnerability opened my eyes!!! He's just a dork and that's so unbelievably adorable!! 💖💖😭

I don't share many characteristics with Ingo but i kinda relate to him more than Emmet bc I'm also an older sibling? So yeah. I love Ingo so much !!!
