Hihi there!!!! I Hope You don’t mind me sending in an ask, but I’m planning on doing the glitch that allows you to transfer the glitch Mew from Red & Blue to Pokémon HOME that you talked about in this post;
https://www.tumblr.com/phlurrii/715585175997825024/okay-were-2-day-late-but
And I was wondering if you could elaborate on what you meant by them loosing their nicknames??? Do all transferred Pokémon from Red/Blue loose their nicknames, or is it just Mew???? And how did you change it back??
Again I really really hope you don’t mind this ask!!!!! I know it’s a really random one but I came across your post when researching for this glitch to make sure I had everything prepared and I’m pretty Attatched to the name I gave my Mew!!!!
Nah I don’t mind at all! Lowkey I thrive off talking about glitches, if you let me I’ll ramble for hours and refuse to let you leave. So I am much more than happy to help ;D
Okay! So regarding the nickname, sadly yes, bank will auto remove all nicknames from any Pokémon off virtual consoles. Whether it’s RBGY or SGC, that shit gets dunked upon transfer. I did not know that initially and was devastated when I found out. However, there ARE solutions to fixing it!
1) Hacked 3DS console, if you know or can find someone with a hacked 3DS you can trade them your lil guy and they can change the name. Obviously the cons of this is the person could scam you, take the mew, and dip. So I highly suggest cloning your mew through any means necessary before handing over a copy. This is what I did, I have a handful of backups of my goobers in general as well.
1.5) if you want to clone your goobers, you can buy a Power Save Pro for 3DS games and clone them there, or you can clone your mew in Pokémon Red… however this is SUPER risky and can corrupt and erase your entire save file. This happened to me once, but if you have no other choice… then I wish you luck solider.
2) transfer your goober up to switch and locate someone with a modded switch, they can do the same thing. Nickname it, send it back. Again I suggest cloning before hand, if you have a cloning egg in SWSH or know someone who does, that’s your best bet. If you don’t, you may have to risk it. However there are people on Reddit who charge like 2-3 bucks to nickname pokemon. I’ve done it before, but frankly I’m looking into just getting a modded switch lol
3) Poke Hex, this is the most complicated way, as it requires a computer, an extra device, dumping your 3DS file onto it, and going into your games code to re-nickname the mew via this lovely program called pokehex. This was originally the method I planned on, but had a nice bloke offer to help me. The good part about this method is it’s entirely just you, no trading or 3rd parties. They have a dedicated forum for assisting too ^^
In summary, there is not an easy way to do it, but if your a nut case like me you’ll find a way or hell will freeze over X3
I’ll also offer my own SWSH cloning egg to help if you can find someone with a modded switch, cuz frankly I need that hook up as well lol, anywho I wish you luck on the gameboy mew adventures ;3

This is an updated Project Dream Ball post to reflect on some facts I didn't know about rare balls. Furthermore, I made some mistakes while copying and pasting, and forgot to consider some regional Pokemon don't have a regional pre-evolution. 10/17/2023
Project Dream Ball is a project that aims to make Pokemon in special balls such as Apricorn Balls, Sport Balls, Safari Balls, Dream Balls and Beast Balls more readily available to players.
On the side, Project Dream Ball also aims to help newer players obtain ribbons exclusive to previous gen Pokemon games, such as old contest ribbons, the Legend ribbon, etc.
Pokemon that can be legitimately obtained in a Safari Ball:
*Any regional variant Pokemon whose original or other variant forms can be obtained in Safari Balls via breeding
*Pokemon that are catchable in Pokemon Sword/Shield (you can create Safari Balls with the Cram-o-matic)
Pokemon that can be legitimately obtained in Apricorn Balls:
*Pokemon that are catchable in HeartGold/Soulsilver, EXCEPT for Safari-exclusive Pokemon.
*Pokemon that are catchable in Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
*Pokemon that are catchable in Sword/Shield
*Pokemon that are catchable in Scarlet/Violet
Pokemon that can/could have been legitimately obtained in a Dream Ball:
*Pokemon that were available through the Dream World in Pokemon Black/White
*Pokemon that are obtained from Pokemon Dream Radar
*Pokemon that are catchable in Pokemon Sword/Shield
*Pokemon that are catchable in Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
*Regional Variants whose original or other forms can be obtained in a Dream Ball via breeding
Pokemon that can be obtained in a Sport Ball:
*Pokemon that can be captured in Pokemon Sword/Shield (you can create Sport Balls with the Cram-o-matic)
*Regional Variants whose original or other forms can be obtained in a Sport Ball via breeding
Pokemon that can be obtained in a Beast Ball:
*Pokemon that are catchable in Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
*Pokemon that are catchable in Sword/Shield
*Pokemon that are catchable in Scarlet/Violet
*Hisuian Variants whose original forms can be obtained in a Beast Ball via breeding
How Project Dream Ball operates:
While Pokemon Bank is no longer available for download anymore after March 27th, 2023, it is still usable, and it is also be free to use. This means that Project Dream Ball will still be able to bring forward Pokemon from previous generations into Pokemon Home until Nintendo shuts down online servers completely in April 2024. As such, if you have any requests for ribbons that can only be obtained in previous generations, please let me know before it's
Project Dream Ball wants to help trainers obtain Pokemon with ribbons available only through previous gens, and intends to do so via requests. Please understand that these kinds of requests may take time, and may not always be possible. For example, past contest ribbons from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and Diamond/Pearl/Platinum are fairly easy to get, but there is a limit to how many may be possible to obtain through gameplay. Meanwhile, ribbons that are obtained through battling may be more difficult to obtain. As far as ribbon requests go, it may be better in some cases to request a specific Pokemon and request a trade instead. Trading online is still possible in gens 4 and 5 using this method. A list of ribbons can be found here. Please keep in mind, not all of these ribbons can be obtained.
Project Dream Ball aims to provide trainers with better access to Pokemon in special Poke Balls, without the use of Action Replay, Powersaves, etc. However, Project Dream Ball will still use fan wifi servers in order to trade Pokemon to trainers who would like to use certain Pokemon in older gens.
While I am not against cheat devices such as Action Replay, Powersaves, etc, Project Dream Ball will not be using these means to generate or edit Pokemon to have any special balls, ribbons, etc. Yes, I do own some of these devices, but I have no intention of using these as I understand that some people find it to be a bit iffy. Furthermore, I do not want to mistakenly generate a Pokemon with a ball or ribbon that it normally would not be able to obtain. I hope that everybody reading this understands. No Pokemon obtained through Project Dream Ball will be generated or edited through any third-party devices.

OHhh that's fascinating I hadn't seen it like that! And Dark having the mission statement... I could imagine it could cause conflicts. You said Dark could make error sounds, right? What if they didn't really know they could access those until those codes were... conflicting? Until they were FEELING those errors building up. Though that's up to you knvxbmcbv
OHG YEAH!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THAT
it's probably insanely stressful to feel their code conflicting, especially since the mission prevention code is hard-coded into the virabots so the mission code can't really shove it out of the way-- it isn't really visible from the outside other than the fact that they start acting weird once it starts to get bad.
initially i think it'd just be like the hiccups though. mostly just annoying and uncomfortable

skyrim paper anon here, this was for my Modern Interfacing class in our vr module so i got to call out how Todd Lied when making the vr version vs how he lied differently for the special edition it was fun. also realized that all the examples i gave of interactions within the game are about stealing shit so we'll see what my 70 year old prof thinks of me after that. btw drop the link for the fic it sounds fun!!
that sounds like a really interesting comparison! i've never played anything in vr but surely skyrim is up to the task for a seamless player experience! i did give in and get the special edition when lockdown first started and i had to glitch through a door by holding a plate at one point bc the quest was broken :) Todd... he's truly one of The Liars of all time XD he will never outrun the tell me lies video edit. "it just works" sir it does not.
the fic isn't finished yet but i'll definitely make a post about it when it is :) and it'll probably wind up on my ao3 (friendly_ficus). the premise is basically Hieronymus Lex's No Good Very Bad Day. a glimpse at the offscreen prologue:
hero of kvatch: wait. you want me to steal hrormir's icestaff
methredrel: yes. this is part of five simultaneous thefts designed to sow chaos throughout the imperial city. it is absolutely vital that you complete this mission so we can get lex out of our hair. are you up for the task.
hero of kvatch: hrormir's staff. the icestaff. the icestaff of the former arch-mage, hrormir. the one that's leaning against the wall gathering dust in the current arch-mage's quarters.
methredrel: yes. this mission is dangerous, but outcry from the mages guild is vital in our plan to destabilize—
hero of kvatch: let me go get some robes. i'm about to be hilarious

we have to discuss muzan powers goddamn
Did you know he can implant his Consciousness into demons?
he can just live inside their brain. Rent free. if they have enough blood. Even after he dies.
Not to mention that ones thoughts aren't even safe.
As the progenitor demon he is only demon capable of inflicting life-threatening wounds capable of completely destroying the cells of another demon without the need of the swords or sunlight. (Direct quote from the wiki)( I'm trying not to confuse you by seriously fact-checking now)
So what I'm getting is that Ingo can also do permanent damage sort of deal via by breathing
okay here is what i'm thinking and this requires a little editing of the exact clauses and rulesets of muzan's powers but shh. what if, being cornered by the hashira, he decides to essentially let them think they're destroying him, and transfer his consciousness to ingo's body, one demon they won't kill if they don't think he's a liability. and then he just... waits, patiently, biding his time, knowing that eventually the perfect moment will come where he can destroy the demon slayer corps, comprehensively, once and for all
