Romy was really grateful when she spotted Whitney coming toward her. She gave Zeek a half-hearted excuse and then quickly headed over toward the redhead.

"Hey, you look really nice," Whitney greeted her.

"I look the same as the last time we met," Romy laughed.

"You still look nice," Whitney grinned. "You wanna dance?"

"I'd really like that," Romy smiled.

In the Flop House resides Zeek Astron and his two roommates.

Zeek was the youngest son of a noble family on Sixam, and what humans would certainly call the black sheep. His parents and older sister were cruel, power-hungry monsters.

Maybe it's for the best that they didn't survive.

All Zeek ever wanted back home was to make music and have a good time. Maybe he'll be able to do that here without his surname leaving a bad taste in other sims' mouths.

"This is a doll, Rixian," Lux said slowly, trying to remember the Simlish word so that she could teach her brother. "They're human dolls. Humans are really nice. They're going to let us live on their planet."

Rixian babbled in Sixamese and stuck a doll in his mouth.

"You have to speak Simlish, Mom said so," Lux said patiently, still in Simlish. Then, in her own language, she added: "But it's okay. I won't tell on you."

"That'll be 87 simoleons," Esther said, ringing up her first customer of the day. "Have a nice rest of your day!"

This was still so strange to her. She never imagined herself running a little grocery store in the middle of the desert.

In fact, there were a few things in her life that seemed completely impossible, like the fact that she had a family of aliens as neighbors.

It was a huge change but she actually really loved it.

Maybe at first a baby wasn't part of the plan, but Adam loved being a dad more than he ever thought he could.

He loved teaching his son his skills and couldn't wait to see the kind of Sim he would grow into.

A developing settlement where humans and aliens lived peacefully together was the ideal place to nurture a curious mind.

It was going to be so cool!

The afternoon was pretty tame compared to the last household filled with young sims in their early to mid-20s.

Mostly the trio worked on skills or hobby enthusiasm.

Krinn was interested in sports and hoped to join the Athletics career once it became available.

She had no intention of staying in the little league. She wanted to become a hall of famer, and to accomplish that she needed to keep up with her fitness!

On the other hand, Krinn was from a poor family. Her father was Waste Disposal Technician 13 and his job always made her feel ashamed.

Now that she had a chance at a better life here in Plumwell, she was willing to do just about anything not to end up at the bottom of the barrel again.

Similarly to her two alien roommates, Tara also had some family baggage she wanted to forget.

Her biological mother left when she was young and her grandparents died when she was in high school. She aged out of foster care and found work as an assistant to Dr. Aldrin. Plumwell was a fresh start for her as well, and she wanted to make the best of it!

Karax couldn't believe the time. He was having such a great time socializing that he didn't even notice the sun go down.

"Thank you for allowing me to, um," he struggled to find the right expression in Simlish. "Hang up with you."

"Oh," Adam chuckled. "Yeah, no worries, the pleasure was all mine! You seem like a really cool guy, and you know... us Knowledge Sims, we've got to stick together, right?"

"Right, of course," Karax laughed awkwardly. "I must go find my daughter, I'm sorry. Goodbye."

Karax was hesitant to leave his daughter alone, especially when he was the one that suggested they come here and play together, but she assured him she was more than happy to play by herself while he went and made some friends.

So he went and joined Dr. Aldrin in a game of basketball, cheered on by the two Sanders women.
