i'm thinking about how jesus's actors manage to keep a straight face during herod's song. like, i would lose it

i think jcs productions should at least show a bit of jesus's reactions to herod's song just bc of the comedic potential

most of them just have jesus with his back turned at the audience, kneeling and looking down while resigned (except 2000 and 2012 arena now that i think about it)

i know it would be a bit difficult to show his facial expressions during the mockery and that he's supposed to be exhausted and humiliated already.

only glenn carter makes jesus express defiance and even a bit of amusement.
