Poet, you've done this before. You can do it again. Focus on getting out, on escaping him. You have to get back, they need you back home.
Now, everything happens rather quickly.
Poet freezes, dead still, hands stretched out. His shoulders rise, his tail quirks upwards, and his eyes blow wide. Tinker can see the tension in his body, strung like a tightened wire, and falters.
The wire snaps.
With frightening accuracy, Poet forces a hand into the empty space, shuddering as he makes contact with.. something. He snarls, audibly, over the sudden rush of air and crackles of ultraviolet sparks, as the very fabric of the world ahead of him is torn asunder. A rift, jagged and violent, with edges that ripple and tear and move like something alive.
Tinker can’t breathe, all of a sudden.
He drops the wand. With the din of the portal, it should have gone unnoticed, merely a pin-drop in the cacophony of literal dimensional tearing, but Poet’s ear twitches nonetheless. The rift warbles, distorted like a heat wave, as Poet turns to face him. His arms are still outstretched, fingers crooked and flexed, his body set like stone. His expression is anything but.
“Hey,” Tinker starts, quiet, hands splayed out and visible, “You’ve got this, it’s okay. You’re doing great.” Poet stares at him, teeth visible in a wild sneer, eyes opened painfully wide. Tinker remembers how he looked in the tank, smaller and scrawnier, but with the same face. A caged animal. “It’s me,” Tinker tries again, removing the hat and tossing it to the side, “It’s just me. Your Lalna.”
The comm crackles to the side, a high electric whine as it connects. "Is everything alright? It's open but we can't get it stable." "Ryth's just having some trouble, we'll sort it!" Tinker keeps eye contact, ignoring every instinct that screams otherwise (an enderman will not attack until you break eye contact, he remembers, and shakes his head subconsciously).
"You-" "Yes! Hello!" He interrupts him, waving empty hands, "Just me! Focus on the portal, mate!" "What-" and Poet stops, glancing around for a second, as if he'd lost his place, "What are you doing here." "Been with you the whole time," Tinker pushes a smile.
"Does he think you're someone else?" Xephos asks, and Tinker can hear the way he's covering his mouth, "You actually went with that idea?" Tinker's hands shake again. "Yeah- it's stupid! It was an awful idea, but we're here now!" "Can you- try to ground him?" "What do you think I'm doing?"
Something shuffles, a hand pressed over the microphone on Xephos' end. "Can he hear me?" He says, frustratingly calm. "I don't know," Tinker can't look away, can't check the distance, "Try it anyway." "Rythian! Listen to me. That's your Lalna. He's not the one that hurt you." Poet tenses. "You'll have to be more specific-" "Rythian!" Xephos cuts in, "Don't fuck this up. Look at him."
Tinker takes a slow, wary step forwards. He hasn't blinked and his eyes sting, face red. Poet watches him, focused on every moving part. "This was a rubbish plan, mate," he says with a forced laugh, "not one of your top ten."
Another step.
Tinker wipes at his face, pulling back his sleeve with the motion. "See! Purple! Your favourite colour, right? And- and the missing finger! Because Dilu didn't realise how squishy we are."
Another step.
Another step.
Poet's shorter than him, almost a whole head's worth, but he's never seemed it. Even with the slight incline, Tinker looks down at him, hands hovering either side, palms bared. "Ryth," he starts, impossibly soft, "You've got this, okay? What do you need?" Poet stares at him, eyes blindingly bright between them, and huffs. The ripped space behind him flickers. "We can try again later if you can't do it. There's no problem with that."
Poet blinks, and the rift warbles and creaks, static shooting through into the mossy earth beneath. And it closes, with a pop not unlike a balloon. Tinker flinches in response, eyes shutting tight for a split second. The next sound is of crunching bone.
And cursing, not long after. Tinker looks up, hands clenched over his nose, stifling a low groan. "Oh-" Poet steps back, dangerously close to slipping into the water, "Oh fuck- gods- fuck! Lalna!" "It's fine! It's- I kinda expected that. Shitting hell, I forgot how good a punch you throw." "I hurt you!" Poet stammers, "I- This was an awful idea, fuck! Why did I-" "What happened?" Crackles Xephos, and Rythian responds by holding down the power button.

No no keep talking- I’m specifically interested by the implications of martyn, having one of his friends go missing after tinkering with blood magic, ending up relying on something related, or at least spookily similar, down the line and well, dying. Do you think he hesitated when killing Ren, not only out of loyalty, but out of fear of history repeating?
context: this post
see, this is interesting because it depends on your idea of what happened at the end of blood and chaos (admittedly i'm not really following solutions in order, but i am aware it confirmed parvis as "not dead")
...but more in terms of how it effected the rest of the server. we know other characters knew about the blackrock nuke going off, so presumably the castle explosion was server wide news at some point. and what martyn's relationship with parvis post heros of mine's last episode. did he see parvis again after that?
personally i think he did- at first. but as the weeks went by, turned to months, he saw parvis less and less, even when he was looking for him. and when martyn did see him, he was different every time. bandaged hands, wild eyes. lost, but also on track for destruction. his emotions perhaps comparable to bloodlust.
in episode 26, when discussing who broke his ritual, we get this exchange.
Parvis: Has Martyn caught on... to...my plan to kill him? Is that it?" Strife: I'll add him to the list. With a question mark.
which does imply they've interacted after parv got into blood magic, enough for him to think martyn knows whats up.
and who could forget the magic police, martyn becomes an ars magica mage, of course he'd interact with them. he visits their base, sees the undesirable. sees the Parvis The Bloody statue, and everything clicks.
come to think of it, we never really get a reason to why martyn has a distaste for blood magic. it's all very "we just don't do that kind of magic here, evil magic" but taking into account that martyn's "voices" were going to try to get him to betray ren and wanted him to win the game...how long have these "onlookers" been a thing for martyn? has he had a deity of sorts watching over him for his whole lifetime, one that would make him distrustful of blood magic? that is woken up again when 3rd Life happens? maybe it was a thing before yogs complete that martyn got rid of, but still avoids doing anything of the "evil" sort (murder, blood magic, you get the idea) as to not summon it again...
okay, off topic there, but the idea here is martyn knew parvis was going into the deep end of blood magic, something he knew was a bad idea from past experiences, but couldnt get close enough to stop him. he then hears about what happened to parvis. vaguely. his death isnt confirmed, he never even gets to see where it happens. whispers from lomadia, strife's neighbor, to nano, her friend, to lalna, to xephos, to martyn, in passing.
(did you hear what happened with parvis and strife? the blood mage got too greedy, too mad with power, and blew them up trying to mix the magics. i heard he's not himself anymore. i heard the place is tainted, i heard it's just destroyed. i heard it was that altar, whispering darkness in his ear. i heard it was his own conscious, dooming him from the start. i heard alex parvis died with william strife's blood on his hands)
martyn moves on, of course.
he didnt survive this long tying himself down. he didn't get wrapped up in wars on tekkit, him and toby stuck to themselves, building temporary shelter. he only sees his aunt and uncle over the holidays, if he stays too long he'll be dragged down into staying forever. forever is terrifying for martyn littlewood. he has to keep moving, lest his mistakes catch up with him, and swallow him up.
so he moves on. tucks away parvis' name as a friend he lost. no more, no less. lost, but not dead. lost, but not found. simply not there anymore. it stings, because it didnt teach him anything. there was no lesson to loosing parvis. he already knew blood magic was bad. he warned him, and failed. it simply becomes a bitter reminder of what that kind of darkness can do to a person, and martyn swears it won't happen again. to someone he cares about, or himself.
3rd Life happens, and ren asks him to kill him on blackheart altar.
it's familiar, somehow. familiar, like a name you heard once from a friend of a friend.
you knew someone who lost themselves like this, once. two tied souls dying on an altar from each other's own doing.
it's only because it's ren. it's the only reason he goes through with it. he trusts ren. (did parvis trust strife? isnt that what lead to his downfall? he never wouldve learned without his teachings)
the voices return. his overlookers, the callings from behind his eyes that crave victory. they want to win. they want blood. you killed ren once, you can do it again.
martyn resists them.
he knows what happened to someone who lost their way, let their mind drift, and let the urge for power take over. here, he doesn't need to know what really happened to parvis. all he needs to know is that with every death on the server, he is one step closer to following in his footsteps. he will not let i heard martyn littlewood died with rendog's blood on his hands be the next phrase whispered throughout minecraftia.

alright reverb blog lore summary letsgo, tl;dr at the end
Section 1
• Reverb is here to cause problems on purpose aka spy on the flux buddies • Reverb is a name he gave himself, as his official name is more of a title- ‘Spy Clone 2′ • The first iteration of Reverb was killed for unknown reasons, and Reverb is aware of this • Dolly Mia, being used mainly as a network of creepy cameras, exibts odd traits, notably always facing the viewer regardless of where Reverb is looking. Reverb is very attached to this particular doll, and seemly unknowingly refers to it as ‘she’. • This comes to a head when Reverb, extremely upset over being goaded into spilling possibly vital info, starts to break down, prompting Mia to move independently for the first time and hijack the feed, turning off the camera and replacing the visuals with her own scribbles. • From Mia, we learn several things about her, namely that she is not the doll she inhabits, she wasn’t made by or connected to Lalnable, and whatever she is, she isn’t the only one of her kind. She is unclear on her origins, and her depiction of herself without her doll ‘body’ is unhelpfully just scribbles. We also see she cares very much about Reverb, and feels as though he also cares for her, though she sees him as ‘small’ and unable to fully take care of himself. • Reverb recovers, prompted by pressure from ‘boss’ to initiate the next phase of the ‘plan’ he’s been alluding to way ahead of schedule, and reactivates the camera, unaware of Mia’s interference • Leading up to the ‘plan’, Reverb paints his face and, despite his reluctance, cuts his hair short
Section 1.5 - Plot Point 1
• The ‘plan’ is shown to be something we also already know- Flux Lalna being replaced, and Nano’s hair being stolen. Reverb is shown to enjoy life as Lalna, and doesn’t get why Nano is so mad at him for it. Otherwise, he is happy with the success of the mission. He also keeps Flux Lalna’s colorful shoelaces. • Before delivering the hair sample to ‘boss’, he’s ordered to take revenge on the Buddies for the perceived slight, which is, of course, murdering a shitload of anime birds • Reverb has plenty of fun with this assignment- in fact, too much fun, which may be in part due to Mia exerting further influence over him, even using him to communicate at one point. This event appears to have given her a sharp spike in power.
Section 2
• Reverb removes 2% of the blood from his clothes and delivers the sample to Lalnable, whose reaction is not shown • Reverb is sent to the lower levels to work on the cloning project the sample was for, and Lalnable decides to use the Dolly Mia he brought to get a higher-quality backup of the footage he got. In doing so, he accidentally accesses the blog itself. • Lalnable does respond to questions, mostly as a chance to act intimidating and attempt to dispel the attention on Reverb. He was previously unaware of Reverb’s nickname, and doesnt use it, overall not really giving a shit • As things continue, Lalnable stops looking at his laptop, and begins looking at the ‘camera’ most of the time. He dislikes others knowing anything about his plan, but seems unconcerned about their ability to do anything about it. He does reveal that he previously considered Xephos and Honeydew to be his friends, and harbors feelings other than rage about his time at Yoglabs. • Lalnable eventually snaps out of something, upset at wasting time, and returns to the lower levels to work on the cloning himself. He sends Reverb away, saying he’s ‘getting in the way.’ Reverb is happy to be out of the cloning lab, as something about the failed clones makes him uneasy.
Section 2.5- Plot Point 2
• Reverb, grumpy at the lack of attention and encouraged by the viewers, sneaks into Lalnable’s room, which is a mess and has far too many weapons in inappropriate places. On the desk is some scraps from Lalnable attempting to fix the Nano cloning issues. • Reverb spots a badly-closed drawer in the desk, which contains, among other loose papers and folders, an old Yoglabs binder. He begins reading through it, though the only page we see any amount of seems to be about the octagonal portals Lalnable later uses. Meanwhile, Lalnable, still in the cloning labs, begins to hallucinate blood, shortly revealed to be a failed attempt by Mia to keep him from finding Reverb snooping. • Lalnable finds Reverb, who panics. The feed begins to become unstable and unclear as Reverb is seriously injured by Lalnable, despite Mia’s attempts to make him defend himself. Out of options, Mia resorts to possessing a failed Nano clone, attacking Lalnable herself and removing one of his eyes, before approaching a collapsed Reverb. • Unable to care for Reverb properly herself, and running out of power while stuck in a decaying body, Mia reroutes a pre-planning dimension-hop by Rythian, dropping him nearby so someone more capable can ensure Reverb survives. She leaves to avoid being attacked, and to regain power with ‘sacrifices’ aka more animal murder • Rythian is intensely confused, but recognizes Reverb from previous interactions, and resolves to do what he can while stuck in this unfamiliar situation.
The blog is now in Section 3, which will hopefully be more open to crossover interactions, but will still mostly follow the same format as before. I don’t have any more plot points planned from here, so everything that happens will be developing naturally!
Rythiansuggestions
• I’m not the mod of that blog, so my explaination will be short and not the most accurate, but the baseline concept of the current plot thread over there is that Rythian has been in a sort of in-between dimension, watching this one, and eventually deciding to risk exploring it and reaching out to potential allies he’s seen. However, the occasional interference from an unknown but ominous source proves to be an issue at a critical moment, interfering and making him end up somewhere far from his target destination.
TL;DR
Reverb is a lalna clone and he does a spy and a kidnap, he’s got a doll thats got some sort of ghost-demon in it that really likes him, he almost dies because hes an idiot and gets saved by a corpse possessed by his doll friend and dropped on the nearest friendly and capable individual, which is Rythian. Lalnable loses an eye because he’s a disgusting stink man.

I Just Wanted to Say Hello
Seto checked his watch. He always took note of the time whenever he was dimension sliding. Time was finicky across dimensions of course. But it was still helpful to keep track a little bit at least. He hadn’t been here too long, be he could already tell he was fatigued from the last Slide. It had been a greater leap then he had done in a while. Both the dimension system and himself needed to recharge.
So he stepped into a cafe to kill some time. Get a coffee, maybe even something to eat to recharge before he attempted another Slide, even if he really didn’t feel like it. Pulling up the dimension map he’d been marking all his travels with he idly set a new entry while he waited for his food close by the door. A brief glance around the city and it was easy to tell that this world was placed in the past by quite a few years. If a version of himself existed in this world, he would at least be very young.
What would you like to name this dimension, sir? Lalna, his A.I. spoke softly through the duel gazer.
The bell to the shop interrupted his discreet fidgeting with the markings with settings and details on the map.
“Excuse me,” a lady’s voice huffed.
Seto’s head snapped up, the holograms disappearing. An all too familiar seemingly immortally young face and short black hair greeted him. The face of someone he admired like no one else, one he only now saw in his hallucinations and nightmares.
Mom.
“Deactivate,” he rasped in a low voice. The light of the duel gazer died, and Lalna’s voice faded away.
“Hey, I don’t have all day. Lunch breaks aren’t forever– but you’re one of those actor-types or stage performers, aren’t you?” she said, noting his eccentric state of dress. “I doubt you have that problem.”
She didn’t recognize him. That narrowed down the possibilities slightly…
“O-Of course. I apologize.”
His hands were twitching as he hastily stepped out of the way. All these years and her stern voice still made him feel like he was caught stealing sweets from the kitchen cabinet.
This was unreal. She was right there. Right there. He could reach out and touch her. Hug her. And she didn’t even know who he was.
Either this was a dimension he didn’t exist in, or he had simply not been born yet or was too young to bear any resemblance to him now.
He re-approached her after both their orders had been filled. “About earlier, sorry for the holdup."
She stared up at him from her seat like his face had just turned blue.
"Don't...mention it? At least you didn't get an attitude like most you fancy kid types do."
Ah. Right. He was definitely in the demographic his mother used to get annoyed with all the time back then. Young guys that used to push everyone else around as they saw fit.
Shit. He needed to find a way to stay. To talk to her. Any normal person would have walked away long before this. He had to make something up, and quickly.
"I-- you look familiar. I think I may know your husband,” he noted the ring on her finger. “Not exactly well, per se. I'm a scientist as well, just uh, computer engineering."
She raised an eyebrow at him. Scrutinizing his story most likely. Of all the times, this was one where he actually wished his mom wasn't so damn smart! Although, Seto supposed it did make sense. She probably just saw him as some weird guy who had too much money to invest in what should definitely not be tech of this time. He powers both the duel gazer and disk down and slips them into his coat pocket, taking the seat across from her.
"Ah, some prototypes they've been having me test."
"Huh. Some kind of fancy new mobile phone?"
Right. Bluetooth wasn't even near to being around yet. Seto latched onto that idea and mentally apologized to the real inventor, whoever they were.
“Yes. We hope to create a completely hands-free phone one day.”
Looking like her interest was slightly piqued, his mother took a bite of her sandwich.
“Well, likely won’t see that in my lifetime, but boy would that be nice.”
After a pause, Seto realized she was fishing for a name. “Isono.” It was the first thing that popped into his head. “Nice to meet you.”
“Shigaraki. Chihiro Sigaraki. So what’s a group developing a new fancy mobile phone doing with biologists?”
Mentally he kicked himself. He should have come up with something better than that!
“Ah, well that’s not the only thing we do of course. It’s a fairly new branch honestly, we make lab equipment and such, that’s how I met your husband. It was a brief conversation, but he nearly talked my ear off about his work.”
At the mention of her spouse, the air around his mom changed significantly.
“Oh, that’s him alright. Heh, let me guess did he go on and on about salamander poisons and regeneration?”
A bittersweet smile tugged at his lips.
“Hm. Indeed he did. The one that makes you go blind for about three minutes if it squirts you in the eye?”
“Hahaha, and those idiots time how long effect lasts instead of-- I don’t know, seeking medical help. I know it’s just a little amphibian, but come on. There’s plenty of tiny frogs that can kill you too.”
Seto laughs, the purest one he’s had in a long, long time.
“Exactly! But he’s happy I suppose, so as long as he’s careful I guess.”
“Well, it looks like you absorbed some of what he said. I’ll have to let him know, I’m sure he’d get a kick out of his ramblings actually being memorable to someone. I’m surprised he didn’t mention you. You aren’t exactly ordinary-looking. You always wear that outrageous coat?”
Seto deflated real quick at that, he almost would have fidgeted in his seat if he hadn’t been taught better.
“Ah. Erm. Not always. Just for experiments. Lots of pockets. And uh... my brother designed it.”
Your son.
That made Chihiro pause. Seto guessed she could tell by the way he said it that meant something to him.
“Oh, I see. Well, tell your brother he’s got quite the... imaginative mind,” she said with a small laugh.
A small burst of pride for Mokuba flared in him.
“Thank you. That will mean a lot to him. Truly.”
More than she could ever know.
“So, compter engineering. That’s quite an up and coming field, I’ve heard. How did someone so young as yourself get involved in it?”
Seto really ought to have thought out his cover story better. He made a mental note to properly write one out for any future Dimension travels.
“Er. My true passion is game design. Though my... mentor kind of directed me through engineering and such first and it branched out from there, but it wasn’t exactly, what he had intended.”
Not by a long shot.
“Oh, like those video games? I can’t say I know much about them-- but I do quite like chess and some gambling card games.”
I know, you taught me chess, was what he wanted to say.
“Those too, actually. I do hope to create some fun video games, especially action ones, but I really have an affinity for those trading card games as well, so I plan to do something with those someday as well. Something to bring them to life, you know?”
Perhaps it was because she saw him as another young kid compared to her, wide-eyed with curiosity and awe for the future, but she laughed, though Seto could tell there was no ill-will intended.
“I’m at a loss of how all that stuff works, a bit past my time I’m afraid to say, despite my face looking like a highschooler,” she said with poorly masked irritation.
She tucked her bangs to the side as she finished the last of her meal.
“But all of that sounds very interesting. If it ends up happening I look forward to it. I think you may have something there, Isono.”
Of course he did. And it worked. It earned him billions and brought the company out of the red after the majority of their shareholders bailed when he took over. Placing them back farther up the corporate ladder then they had ever been, soon after everyone was scrambling for a piece.
Yet her simple praise, her belief--
He certainly wished he could have heard those words when he was still in an uphill battle trying to get the company off the ground. The simple words filled his essence with something long lost, now so foreign, something that he wanted to hold onto forever.
He’d been silent for far too long.
“T-Thank you very much, honestly. I... haven’t had anyone say that actually.”
Which was true. No one had supported it like that when Solid Vision was in development.
Only Mokuba.
“Of course, I--”
Her words were interrupted by the beeping of her watch. An alarm. Chihiro muttered a swear under her breath, and Seto could very accurately say that was the only time he’d ever heard her utter such a thing.
“Sorry--I’ve lost track of time, I need to get back to work, can’t give my stuck up boss another mark against me.”
She stood and grabbed her bookbag and headed for the door. Seto nearly knocked over his own chair to follow her out.
The bell rang again as the door closed behind him.
“One of those huh? Keep your head up, things will change. Slowly, but I promise you, they will.”
It was a stupid and weird thing for him to say, Seto knew. But given how much his mother always raged about it, he felt like he needed to say it, even if she didn’t believe him.
She gave him an odd look.
“Wishful thinking you got there, but I certainly hope so. I’ll fight the good fight regardless.”
There were so many things he wanted to say, so many things Seto simply couldn’t. If he explained it all she would understand she would--
Stop.
“Maybe we’ll see each other around sometime? I can have Tatsuya invite you over next time he sees you.”
A silent breath left him as he tried to pin down words, but eventually, his expression fell back into neutrality.
“He- uh, probably won’t. I er, don’t really get assigned there normally. I was filling in for someone who was sick.”
A questioning frown appeared on her face, but Seto could tell she was more preoccupied with worrying about making it back in time.
“But... but maybe we’ll meet again.” Seto extends a hand.
His mother takes it, and he holds on longer then he should. Bringing up his other hand to hold hers, he’s surprised when she doesn’t whack him upside the head for that.
Perhaps it’s something in his eyes.
“It’s been an honor meeting you.”
Truly meeting you.
He regrets pushing so many memories to the back of his head to collect dust and slowly wither away. Yet in that exact moment, he is also reminded of why he did that. They’re on borrowed time.
Bewilderment crosses his mother’s face, and he can see the gears turning-- perhaps somehow she did know the person in front of her? But that was impossible.
“Thanks? Heheh.”
There’s an awkward laugh. She doesn't think him a creep, but she knows something isn’t right, but she can’t put her finger on it.
“In that case, Tatsuya and I will keep a lookout for you in Domino. It’s been very nice to meet you too.”
She pulls away and disappears down the stairs of the closest subway entrance.
Seto should forget about this dimension. Forget he was ever here. Bury it all again. The past is dead.
But it isn’t the past here. This was his parents’ present. And perhaps there was still time before this world’s Seto existed if there would be one. And if there wasn’t... there couldn't be any true harm, could there?
He needed to stop thinking like that. Forget about this place. Forget again. Forget. Forget. Forget.
He powers up the dimension system again.
Lalna continues where it left off. What would you like to name this dimension sir?
“Greed.”

To Lose It All
So I got inspired, prepare for angst and Flux Buddies Spoilers, done in my usual rambling style! Its based on the idea I had on what if Blackrock was after Flux Buddies! Ao3 Link
Lalna was never the same after that fateful moment in Mother’s dimension, he wasn’t sure where The Doctor had dumped him to scold him, not that Lalna remembered anything really from this time, every moment from leaving that dimension was a blur, all he knew was eventually he found his way back to the others. He never let himself get close to them though, building a new base and locking himself away. The others tried to get close, to talk to him, to get him to at least acknowledge them more then mildly, none succeeded, Lalna didn’t want to risk getting attached again. He never tried to get back to the tower, Lalnable could live there for all he cared, better away from him then nearby anyways. Hopefully Tiddles had long since ran away from the maniac.
He knew Nano told him to be good, to be better then this, but he just couldn’t find it in him to care. It’s not like she could see, she was gone, poof, vanished, no respawn, someplace Lalna may never be allowed to reach, and with that fact in mind, it could be so hard to care. So he tinkered away, building and making mild pleasantries at Xephos who just wouldn’t leave him alone. He found himself quicker to violence, though it both sickened him, and intrigued him how little he cared anymore about the pain of others, he did his best to resist this sure, but sometimes the apathy would claw at his heart, and he’d go looking for a scrap to just feel something.
Soon his hands had him build that same weapon that killed Nano, and a faint wonderance past in his mind, would if he detonated, would his respawn fail? He couldn’t bring himself to test it, but he could never bring himself to take it out of his inventory either. So there it sat, before eventually the apathy clawed too much and he went out to look for a scrap, and saw Sjin. Everyone knew what happened next, the two got too heated, literally, fire burning all around. Lalna couldn’t stop, the adrenaline like wine to a dehydrated soul. It kept getting worse, explosions and death. He saw Rythian eyes wide in shock as one of Sjin's arrows plunged his throat, before another shot through his head, killing him instantly, he felt nothing to it. He saw Zoey take an arrow through the heart through the corner of his eye, and he felt nothing to it as well.
And why should he care anyways? They’d just respawn, they’d be fine, no worse for wear, maybe a bit annoyed, but who cares about that. There was no real consequences for them dying, they wouldn’t suffer, wouldn’t truly die, so why would death matter? They’d still be here, like Nano should have been, but she wasn’t. Nano wouldn’t be proud, but she was gone, so why care about that either. He wished they would permanently die for a moment, so they could never realize the curse they were all under.
He set down the explosives and set them off, retreating back a bit, he wasn’t fully ready to die, natural aversions to that and all that. It unfortunately did not kill him, and soon he noticed Sjin in his base and he rushed to fix the damage, he wasn’t trying to blow up literally everything, fucking Sjin! He was too late though, and the world turned white, and he couldn’t stop the smile.
Alas, he woke up all the same, a new world yes, but he knew it was just more of the same, he clutched the sapphire in his pocket tight as he couldn’t stop a few tears. He got back to work though, building up a castle, throwing himself into his machines. No one cared beyond a few dirty looks about the end of the past world, and why should they? Everything that mattered was fine, they were alive, unharmed, with infinite potential, instead of gone, lost, dead. Everyone still had there friends, and loved ones, the lucky bastards.
He isolated himself once more in his castle, he decided this time to craft it to remind him of the first base with Nano, to hopefully inspire some emotion as he kept to himself again. This time no one cared about this isolation, it seems they’d finally given up on him, and he grew further into apathy, he learned Rythian wanted revenge, he shrugged it off, okay whatever why should he care? Then he learned about Zoeya.
Then rage bubbled in his chest for the first time in months.
How DARE he do this, how dare he come to face him for revenge with an apprentice that FELL FROM THE SKY, with an apprentice with a CHEERFUL GO LUCKY ATTITUDE, an apprentice EAGER TO LEARN, an apprentice with UNIQUENESS and OPTIMISM, and still SASS. Really the only way Rythian could have made it worse is if he gave her a sapphire, he shuddered at the thought, hand clutching her sapphire again.
How dare he get revenge with someone that reminded him so much of Nano. Revenge he could ignore? But this? THIS?? This was an insult, a grave cruel insult! To rub it in his face that Rythian has what he lost, that Rythian could do it so much fucking better, what a joke, what a piece of shit! He threw himself into his research, fine, it had been too long since he felt anything anyways, and rage and sadism was something familiar. A part of him wondered if this is the kind of thing that created Lalnable, Lalna crushed those thoughts, no, he was better then that, he would always be better then that.
He ignored every warning, buried himself even more in his castle. Came up with the ingenious forcefield idea. Then he waited, and waited, but the first one at his door was not an angry mage, but a girl, so fiery for a second he saw Nano. He blinked it off though and gave her the warmest smile he could, he wished he could say something new bubbled in his chest, but they didn’t the now well known rage and sadism just souring more, as he thinks about what could have been as he pretended everything was alright for her. The dinosaur he just kinda, ignored for the most part, gave him the creeps.
He was surprised when he heard she and Rythian got into a spat though, ha, he’d never have thrown Nano out for being a technomage, really Rythian was terrible, an awful mentor, couldn’t even give his apprentice the attention and knowledge she clearly needs, and just LETS HER SUFFER and SLOWLY FADE, doing NOTHING TO STOP, because he's a COWARD. What a terrible mage, a terrible friend. Truly Zoey deserved better. Not that he’d really be a better choice, he could pretend, but he knew they’d end up crawling back together, it’s not like anything could keep him and Nano from each other for long. Even if Zoey deserved better.
He cheerfully dodged her interests and set about crafting a gun, a gun for a dinosaur, hm past Lalna would have been thrilled, the dinosaur also seemed a bit familiar but hey what does he know. He acted how he knew he was supposed to act, cheerful if a bit distrusting, he didn’t want to drive her away after all, she’d be safe in his castle, plus it’d rub it in Rythian’s face, oh the hate Rythian would feel at the thought that stupid flux mad scientist, the dangerous warped scientist who broke respawn, was doing a better job protecting her then he could, ha.
He handed over his laser to her, that, he didn’t know why, he did never use it though, so he didn’t really think it over, it was, kinda nice talking to someone, but he knew it wouldn’t last, besides he preferred to be alone, alone was safer for everyone. It was almost easy to forget he was explaining things to a stranger, not to Nano as he talked about his forcefield, but he didn’t forget, he couldn’t forget. So he just kept playing his part.
This went on for a few hours, but soon, his moment of true reckoning began, and Rythian had fallen into his forcefield trap. He hoped this would be short, that he could get Rythian away before he truly gave into his anger, his one mercy, Nano would be proud. That changed, though, when he started talking, and his anger grew into a full blown rage in his chest.
Retribution????? Justice????? What a laugh! Everyone was fine, no one lost anything real, nothing tangible, what Rythian were you upset that you lost a few pieces of wood?? Pathetic. He kept his cool though, nothing would be achieved if he lost his top, worst of all Rythian might just start pitying him instead, and augh he hated pity.
He bantered with him, shoved it off on Sjin, and he knew Rythian was buying it, buying his faux calm. He internally aughed as he kept going, if no one else cares Rythian, that means that maybe they understand things more, that maybe you’re just a mad man screaming about a loss of a base, that everyone’s long past. He couldn’t resist name-dropping Zoey.
Oh how Rythian’s face just fell, oh yes it felt good, a sadistic glee curling in his chest, the pain in his eyes. Rythian always thought his eyes were guarded but it was so easy to pry them open into pure emotion. Rythian truly did understand nothing about this world, about respawn, about being a mentor, and about love. He wasn’t even the one who killed him, Sjin did that.
He rubbed his face as Rythian just kept going on and on about murder, bullshit that was. Utter bullshit, he’d only murdered one person and that wasn’t Rythian that’s for sure, Rythian dared to equate his minor inconvenience of respawn to what happened to her? Bastard. Murder no one comes back from, murder permanetly erases people. If Rythian had been murdered, this conversation wouldn’t even be happening.
Rythian hurled accusations of him, accusations of evil, of planned cruelty, of going down the same path, all from what? A force field designed to keep a clearly vengeance driven mage away? The fact he had a castle? Really at this point Lalna was pretty sure at this point everything he would ever do to Rythian, could easily be ruled self defense. He let himself smile, good, the nuke was already planted anyways, he got bored and it was too easy, sure he hadn’t armed it yet, it originally was supposed to be an empty threat but he could do that later. He brought it up, see how far enraged he could make this mage, a new project really, an experiment, and he was a scientist after all, sure it had been a bit, but he was.almost curious.
Smirking he went on and on about how he just needed insurance, that he can’t get rid of it, and loved the horror in his eyes, sure he couldn’t really feel emotions, hadn’t for what, a year now? Making others feel them though he found? Was pretty close of a substitute though, he liked that substitute, made him feel warmer, he poked fun at a mage fish take, and watched Rythian desperately try and make his way out, how silly, how fun, it felt good to have control, as he ignored Rythian’s edgy talk about trust.
Seeing Rythians face at the comment about him eating grass, he rushed in for the kill, talking about how he didn't know how he’d get Rythian food, not that food mattered either, a lack of food wouldn’t kill him, he knew that one personally, not eating would hinder you greatly, but alas, you’d live. Food was just one of many luxuries in this world, enjoying the horrified and sick look Rythian gave him, a face one would only make at one truly evil, that was wrong though, Rythian didn’t understand evil. Never met evil, he was just a child, a child whose mad his sandcastle got kicked, never felt true heartbreak, spoken to any truly rotten, he was just, too big for his britches. He wandered off, planning to return in a few hours, he hoped Rythian had noticed it was easy to shut off the forcefield, it was never meant to be permanent after all, like he said, talk, in safety of forcefield, that was all.
He rubbed his face but couldn’t stop a mad grin when he found Rythian gone a few hours later, escaped, seemed he knew more about tech then he let on, good, it’d be too easy if he just let himself be caught forever, that’d be boring, no that’s not what he wanted. He’d make Rythian understand Retribution and Justice, he’d make him learn what it means to lose it all, what it means to truly feel pain and sorrow and loss. To truly understand. He felt so good reveling in Rythian's emotions, he wanted more! He wanted to truly be the scientist he knows he is and finally research into what breaks apart respawn, what sets a skeleton’s arrow apart from an explosion to kill Mother.
Alas poor Zoey though, she didn’t deserve what he was planning, to be in pain, to understand what he feels. This wasn’t about her though, and Nano didn’t deserve what Mother planned either. The fiery ones just always seemed to be the ones to burn out the fastest, what a shame, this story would not have no happy ending, his didn’t, and Rythian wasn’t allowed his either, and maybe it’d prompt the endermage to teleport him to hell.
Lalna couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next as he put on his favorite sapphire necklace.

it's been 9 years!
and that's crazy! most of my followers' accounts have the "-blog" suffix now and my dash is filled near-exclusively with content from me from around 2015. i have a heavy doubt anyone has looked at these blogs in a long time, but on the off-chance any of my old friends see this:
hello! i am lewis (yes, you can imagine where the name came from). i'm 24 now! i was barely 15 when i first made this blog, and i think that shows when you read more than three posts. i made this account sometime around the 9th of april 2013, on a whim, and i never really expected it to garner any kind of attention from there.
obviously, my place in this community is long-gone now -- i still hold the yogscast in such high regards (they're still ever-so-important to me) but every now and then i reminisce on what happened here in this little corner of somethings and what-have-yous.
the people of TBoTS were very, very wonderful people, and i will forever be grateful to all of the many tremendously talented people who didn't bat an eye when some idiot like me came bumbling into their lives. i've grown a lot, now, in so many positive ways, and even though i still have minor contact with people, part of me still wishes that we were all active someplace together so you could look at the person i've become, with a smile on your face, going, "yeah, i've seen all the changes he's made over time, he's really done his best and i'm proud". not that i was a bad person, mind you, or anything like that. it's just that kind of yearning to be remembered fondly. i've gotten better at roleplaying and character development and worldbuilding and art and this and that and -- well, you know. this blog was kind of a mess, to be honest.
TBoTS was my life in the final years of me being in school. it absolutely fucked with my grades, and there's no doubt about that, but that's whatever. i cared so much about the people around me, and i still do. getting to college the sands shifted, but i still kept this muse. i used him for several more years; a new group, new friends, a new place to call home. and that's all i could have ever really asked for, between TBoTS to the next to now. i've always had a group i could go to at the end of the day to confide in, and it's TBoTS that gave me that chance in the first place.
i am happy. and i've been happy for a very long time. i know who i am. i have a job. i have money. last month was mine and my boyfriend's fourth anniversary, and he's visited me several times. in a couple years i'm planning engagement. i'm surrounded by people who i love who love me. people confide in me and trust me to help them. i love to put my time aside for people who love me because i love them and there's nothing in the world that would stop me from loving them.
i am so, so thankful for the existence of this blog. it's embarrassing, sure, fine, who cares, it's a testament of it's time and it's a special piece of my history. i am thankful to the people who have come and gone. kieran - spy - who i still have contact with and talk to every other week, after these 9 years. holly, em, raven, though i'm missing a few - we don't talk, but i appreciate the warmth i felt when we managed to reconnect a few years ago (i'm sorry i've gone MIA; you guys grew so close over the years, our interests have shifted and i'm very out-of-place). arrows - lom - we don't talk anymore but i still follow you, and i see the work you're doing, and the people who love you, and it makes me so happy to see where your career has gone. madi - lalna - i read your tweets, every day, i share your photos of your cat, hamilton, to my friends every time i see him and they love him -- i love seeing where you are now. i don't know where everyone went, but that's okay.
being here shaped my future & it's a future i never thought i would see. i hope the rest of you guys are loving life. i will always, always be here, if i'm ever needed. i'm good at advice, now, i promise!

And We're Off! (5/??)
Rythian recognized the face, the clothes, all of it in a heartbeat. He raised his left hand and covered his face with it. She never told me he would be here. He thought. Well there was no backing down now. After warning Zoeya about Lalna's presence, he scaled the sturdy steel ladder until he had arrived on the ship's deck. He paced toward the surprise shipmate and stared him in the eyes.
"I don't like you, you don't like me, we're both going on this trip so promise not to piss me or Zoey off and hopefully this will be a nice expedition. Got it?!" Rythian demanded, with the deadliest, most intimidating stare he could whip up. Lalna meekly looked down at the floor and nodded in obedience, only removing his groundward view when his intimidator had marched away. He shouted across the ship for his apprentice.
"Hey Nano! Give those three the grand tour!"
Nano sighed, "Fine!" She replied snarkly, motioning for the new arrivals to follow her as she turned a latch and opened the heavy iron door leading to the depths of the airship.
After the group was within the surprisingly cramped insides of the beast, Nano pointed at a wooden door further down the corridor. "That's your room. That one further down is mine and Lal's room." She then pointed to a doorway opposite the others, "That's the Kitchen." And immediately after her half-hearted tour descended up to the deck, before poking her head down again. "We're getting our move in in ten minutes, say goodbye to the ground for a good three days."
Rythian, Zoeya and Teep examined the annoyingly claustrophobic dormitory they had been assigned. There were two beds parallel to each other, with a empty table between them, as well as a fluffy carpet on the floor, presumably for Teep to doze on. Whilst Teep was enthusiastic about his bed, luxurious by dinosaur standards, and Zoeya was marvelling at the window at the head of her bed, Rythian was much less hyped.
"This place is tiny!"
Up on the main deck, Lalna seemed completely absent, she searched around and couldn't find any trace of him. Just as she felt some slight concern, the missing scientist popped up from over the edge of the craft, and after getting his footing, sliced off the rope which was securing him to the deck.
"What the hell are you doing?" Nano growled, face running red with frustration.
"Go have a look." Lalna cheerily winked in answer. Nano warily peeked over the side of the goliath and in a moment of realization, her face turned a peculiar shade of beetroot as she read the made up word her infuriating companion had painted on the hull.
YS BALTI
Everybody on board was pretty certain that Nano's livid screams could be heard across the whole server.
"DUNCAN I SWEAR TO GOD SOMETIMES YOU PISS ME OFF SO MUCH I THINK I'M HAVING A FLUX EPISODE!" She began her enraged rant, which ended up lasting until Lalna finished preparing the awesome machine.
"Nano calm the hell down we're just leaving." He informed, to which she was silenced and with heavy breaths, she pulled a bottle of Vodka out of her bag.
"By god I'm going to need you..." She sighed at her container.
Lalna loved every second of flying an Airship, he even had a rather unnecessary announcement speaker installed on the ship. He pulled a dangling chain which connected to  a large fog horn, letting of a tremendous sound. He then leaned forward to the microphone and, putting on his best pilot voice, opened his lips. "Ladies and Gentlemen this is your Captain speaking, we will be taking off for our flight in a short short ten seconds."
"Rythian! Rythian! We're taking off! Get up here!" A very excited Zoeya yelled down at the interior. With an exasperated sigh, the disgruntled mage dragged himself up to the deck, moments before the repetitive sound of propellors whirring began, and the land began getting smaller, smaller and smaller.
"We're flying Rythian! We're flying!" Zoeya yelled triumphantly as she shook Rythian by the shoulders as best she could.
"I-*Gulp*-I know!" He felt nauseated already. This definitely wasn't the first time any of them had flew in an Airship, and Rythian always suffered from air-sickness, but usually he would adapt after a few hours on board.
"Gimme a second, Zoey." He managed to murmur our as he pushed her away and sped over to the edge of the deck and immediately parted with the contents of his stomach.
Zoeya stood by Rythian's retching side and, ignoring the steady flow of half-digested food leaving the confines of the deck, gazed with awe into the city that was now whizzing past. The sun shone high above, the flocks of birds couldn't even keep up and Zoeya said a relieved wave goodbye to the crowded and restricted city life, at least for a week or so. Zoeya never liked living in the city; she never felt safe, the air tasted funny, she could never see the stars at night, the only wildlife to see were pidgeons, foxes and stray pets and she could never do the outdoorsy things she used to, like frolicking in the fields, making flower crowns, climbing trees, leaping into rivers and getting her clothes dirty, and so much more. She smiled with glee as she wondered what she might be able to get up to in Server Six-Five-One. Would she make friends with this scout? Would there be reindeers? Would she find Santa? If she did she could laugh in everyone's face and say 'I told you so!' Perhaps she would find some tundra mushrooms! Zoeya let her imagination run wild as she usually did, and soon she was rapidly stomping her feet in excitement.
Meanwhile, closer to the front of the deck, a very smug looking Lalna sat at the controls next to a tired Nano.
"So, you excited, Soundy?" The Scientist inquired, using his favourite nickname for his short apprentice.
"Yeah, I guess. Would be cool to find out what that weird machine thing's about." She yawned.
"I can't wait to see Z- I mean Orange Twenty-Six!" Lalna remembered to call him by his codename this time. "Been a while since I had a drink with him last." And by the end of his sentence he finished planning Balti's trajectory. She was high enough to avoid any terrain and was going on a straight line to her destination. "All done!" He cheered.
"Great, lets just hope we don't bump into 'The Hats'!" Nano joked about the main antagonists in the pair's favourite comic series.
"Hah! But if we do, I'm sure Owl-Lady and Cat-Boy will kick their sorry arses!" Lalna played along. The two spent the next few hours discussing the superhero duo, perhaps unaware that the story had some truth to it...
----------------
This was really fun to write. And all these 'unknown' characters! Orange Twenty-Six (first letter of his name revealed to be Z) 'The Hats' (really obvious) and Owl-Lady and Cat-Boy, who I'm sure we will be learning more about soon wink wink
As always feel free to point out any errors or anything and tell me what you think!

The Secret Weapon (Xephlez)
Summary: Xephos has volunteered for an unhealthy amount of missions, and the Yogs are growing concerned.
((Featuring @doctorbethanysartblog ’s Suit AU)) _________________
Xephos had a small habit of taking things to far. Whether it be work, miscellaneous tasks, or doing things with his friends, he always had to go one step further.
Or in this case, a whole marathon forward.
They were all proud and happy for Xeph to be given the legendary position of a Suitor. It was one of the highest honors in the multiverse, and the Yogs couldn’t think of anyone better for the job. However, they all knew eventually Xeph would start overworking himself.
Simon was the first to catch wind of his unhealthy behavior (he always was). He’d wake up in the middle of the night to see Xephos stumble out of the portal in a white suit with blue blood dripping down his mouth and ugly bruises along his face. Then the alien would down a potion of healing and sleep for 3 hours before going back through. He’d try talking to him about it, making only half-joking comments about Xephos being in over his head. The man just smiled and laughed, and would continue on with whatever plans they had made.
Sips and Sjin noticed when during a visit to the farm they found Xephos sleeping in the middle of the Ender Lily patch, propped up against a hoe. When they asked him why he was so tired, he would just shrug and say he had a mission the other night and forgot to have coffee the following morning.
Lalna himself knew it was all unhealthy, and he practiced many of the same habits. He gave Xephos some special brewed gin, hoping it would make him fall asleep, but it only gave the alien a hangover during his impromptu mission the following day.
“It was just a small thing, investigating some rumors spread through different worlds. Nothing huge.” He would say, waving the situation off and grabbing a mug of coffee.
“It isn’t small, Xeph. You look like hell!” Simon had argued. Xephos only scowled before burying himself deeper in his coffee.
The dwarf sighed before grabbing Xeph’s communication tablet. The alien looked up in surprise and made a motion to grab it, but Simon was already across the room and typing away at the transparent screen.
“What do you think you’re doing? Give that back!” Xephos sputtered out, standing up.
“I’m trying to help you, you psychotic bugger.” The dwarf muttered, focusing on his task.
“Simon, I really don’t have the energy to fight you. Please give it back, I need it to get in contact with the others.”
“Nope. Bringing out my secret weapon.” He said, finally pushing the “send” button.
“Taking away my tablet won’t make me stop working. You’re only making me upset.” Xephos pouted.
Honeydew sighed and slid the tablet back over to him. “Fine. Have it back.” He said before grinning. “But Sparklez isn’t going to be happy to find out you canceled on him to beat up ‘rumors.’
Xephos froze. “What? I don’t have plans with-” He started before looking down at the tablet and gasping. Sure enough, a message had been sent to a contact named ‘Mr. Sparkly Pants’ Asking him to hang out with him the next day.
“Simon, no! Why!?” Xephos groaned. “I’m on standby for a possible mission tomorrow. What am I gonna do if they call?”
“Ask them to send someone else. Because if I can’t ask you to relax, I know Sparklez will and I know you’ll listen to him.” The dwarf said, his eyes filled with concern.
The alien slid back into his chair, grumbling into his arm. The dwarf smiled slightly, patting his arm. “Besides, when was the last timw you’ve had a proper date since you got this job?”
Xephos sat up for a second as he thought carefully. He and Sparklez chatted all the time between missions, but they hardly ever saw eachother face to face anymore. Perhaps he has been a little too busy.
“Alright, Simon. You win. I’ll take a day off.” Xephos sighed, putting up his tablet.
Honeydew smiled. “Good. Now go to bed. I’m not having Sparklez come over and you look like a disaster.”
Xephos smiled tiredly. “Yes, I suppose you’re right.”
The dwarf smiled. “I always am.”

Captain’s Knight Part 2
1 / 2
Guess I gotta keep going.
After a couple hours Sparklez was examining the armor and crossbow he'd been given as Lalna set him up with a few quest based tasks.
"And you're sure you don't mind magical crops." Lalna mentioned showing him the farm.
"It'll be no problem you guys already did a great deal of the leg work done for me." He replied before Lalna handed him an ear piece.
"You should keep this turned down by the way. Xephos waffles on and on when he's working and if you're not used to it it can be hard to tune out." Sparklez blinked but put in the piece. Sure enough Xeph was already talking to himself.
"Just pip up when a quest is done so we can claim it too." Lalna added before waving heading away. Sparklez closed his eyes for a second listening to Xephos talk. Mentally he was back in that dirt cave chatting with him before he heard a small, "hello?"
"We're listening Xeph. Sounds like it's still a pain." he heard Lalna respond reminding him to work.
On the other side Xeph wasn't getting to much work done. Between their power problem and their lack of lapis it was starting to get daunting. What didn't help was whenever the new guy spoke up. His voice was so nice to listen to, like silk in his ears that he'd forget what he was doing in a heartbeat.
"Hey I need to go mine in the End for a bit might lose contact. Don't destroy everything." Lalna called over the radio. Xephos glanced out to see him kick off flying off into the distance. He waited a minute before he heard. "I finished one of the seeds for the quest if you'd like to claim it."
"Oh right thanks. Uh toss the chance cube in the condenser. It's the only thing those things are good for." Xeph mentioned pulling his book out touching the flashing picture. A tiny cube appeared on his hip and a bag in his free hand. On instinct, he opened the bag pulling out the items.
"Oh....I got lily pads of fertility in the bag." He heard the man's voice give a hearty laugh. He shook his head putting it in his own bag heading for the condenser near the farms.
"Can I join you on your pad of love?" The voice joked before it paused "Whelp, I got heart glass in mine. Are these bags trying to say something?" He heard Sparklez ask. Xeph's cheeks flushed slightly pausing in mid stride towards the cheat box.
"I doubt it they're just random. You can toss them in here if you want. I think we're making lapis for me right now." He mentioned putting the lily pads in pulling a stack of the blue stone. The man moved towards him his glasses clear showing how dark it had suddenly become. Xeph turned to let him near the condenser before he hear him pipe up.
"Man, the view around here at night is really nice.” He glanced to see Sparklez staring up at the sky. He paused before looking up. It took a second before it sort of dawned on him. He hadn’t stopped to watch the stars for a long time. They’d been so concerned with monsters and death that they never let the nights drag on anymore to appreciate the stars and planets in view.
“Yeah…yeah…it is.” He took a deep breath thinking up a plan before sighing. “Hey Sparklez you know those tubes around the place?” Xeph mentioned putting the lapis away.
“Yeah what about them?”
“Did Lalna tell you what they do?” Xephos inquired moving to the opening near the farm.
“Not exactly. What are they for?” Sparklez asked following after him.
“You can ride them to different areas on the block. You pick where you want to go on this little pad and step inside. If you want, meet me at the tree lookout.” Xephos said selecting it before stepping inside getting sucked up into the tube. Once his feet touched the wooden platform he moved towards the edge sitting letting his feet dangle. It was a great view of what they had done and built but for the moment it was the safest place to watch the stars.
He looked up at the sky as he heard a soft sound behind him. He was vaguely aware of the man sitting down next to him.
“Wow how long has this been here?” Sparklez asked and Xeph glanced to see him laying on his back staring at the sky.
“Sjin and Lalna made it I guess I was really busy so I never had a chance.” Xeph mentioned. A small smile crept up watching him stare at the sky.
“It’s really spectacular, isn’t it? You don’t get a view like this where I’m from.”
“Yeah. Although it feels like I’m seeing it for the first time honestly. Like a view I’d never seen before. I wish I had seen it like this before,” Xeph said lowly. Sparklez glanced over causing Xeph’s cheeks to go red. Sparklez gave a slight chuckle.
“I think I know what you mean honestly.” He breathed as they moved closer to each other. There was a long silence between them before jumping hearing a voice over their headsets.
“Hey I’m back guys. Oh jeez it’s so dark. Why haven’t you two slept?” they heard and saw the blond near the hut.
“We…we got distracted. Sorry ‘bout that friend. Give me a minute and I’ll get into bed.” Xephos said moving to stand up. Sparklez quickly grabbed his hand to stop him turning off his headset.
“Please don’t leave.” He mouthed. Xeph blinked muting his headset.
“We have to go back down there. He’ll start to look for us.” He said lowly.
“I don’t know if we’ll get the chance again Xephos.” He responded continuing to hold his hand. Xeph’s cheeks went dark red before taking his hand back. “Xeph….”
“I…I’m sorry friend.” He said before heading for the tube’s entrance.
“I think I might like you.” Sparklez said standing up looking at him. Sparklez gulped as Xephos froze in his tracks. There was a silent pause that seemed to go on forever before Xephos sighed.
“I don’t know how I feel Sparklez. I just don’t know.” He mentioned messing with the pad before stepping inside. Sparklez blinked slightly sitting on the platform once again looking out towards seeing the two small figures on the ground moving away.
