Ayye i made an animatic!! Thing!! Idk its a trend on Instagram rn and not only did the vocals remind me of Ernest, but i think the concept also fit Alfendi sooo i birthed this out😔 I feel like no one has thought of them as a duo before so im here to take the stage and create the most goofy shit as usual
Obsessed with how Professor Layton is set up with the vibes of having something mystical and surreal afoot, but EVERY mystery has a very specific, logical (???), non-magical resolution. It’s a science fiction story masquerading as a nostalgic urban fantasy.
But also Luke can talk to animals. There is no science behind how. He just can.
[Image ID: A wide digital painting with a dark color palette of Alfendi Layton from Layton Brothers Mystery Room, from the chest up. Alfendi is laying down on the stone roof of Forbodium Castle on his stomach with his head turned to the right. He is wearing a grey suit and there is a gunshot wound on the right side of his back. Next to him is a spilled Grimace Shake cup, with purple liquid surrounding his right side and his face. It is raining. He has a sad and exhausted expression on his face. /.End ID.]
Which of the official spin-offs is your favorite from the Professor Layton series?
I'm making this poll as I myself have finished all three main spin-offs from the Professor Layton series. I really love all three as each provides something special to offer. PlvsPW was amazing with the story, characters, and puzzles. It was a great crossover game that brings both Professor Layton and Ace Attorney fans can enjoy.
LBMR had an amazing over arching mystery and I was really invested in each case. Alfendi as a character had the most mystery behind him and Lucy was a great protagonists along Alfendi. They made a good complement to each other as the story progressed.
Lady Layton was a cute little game. It's light hearted cases each had some kind of charm that brought something special. The interactionists between the main trio of Katrielle, Ernest, and Sherl had really cute and fun moments.
For me I really don't have a favorite as all three were great in their own way.
MADE MORE CONTENT OF THE DUO rahh this one's actually cool as hell i did not know how i got creative with the poses it is NEVER like this i didn't even need to scroll through Pinterest for inspiration this time!! But er yeah it's dumb but im thinking of naming them the Christmas Kids based on that one song (but solely because of their colors rlly)
I also made a lineup of some OCs in the lbmr artstyle! If you're wondering who Ester is then they're part of that Oblivious Prison lineup i posted a while ago. I was thinking, if i ever made a fan case; who would the criminal be? And immediately remembered that i quite literally already made one LOL (Again, Zeph belongs to @slyzia !)
+ Extra out of context comic
(Don't be shy to hit the duo up with sum questions in the ask box!! It'll come with a lil doodle or maybe even a comic like this >:])
Long time no see folks! Sorry, I've been busy with life lately-- But I've got good news to bring along, and that is I've recently been accepted to two prestigious unis for their history major programme!
To celebrate, here's entry #3 in my Historically Accurate Layton / PL Redraw series: the LBMR power pair, Lucy and Alfendi in the 1940's!
torn between "Katrielle was adopted before Alfendi which is why he isn't in the episodes where she's a child" and "Alfendi was orphaned by Clive's attack on London and was adopted shortly afterwards"
[Image ID: A screenshot from the 3D adventure game Mystery of the Druids with Alfendi Layton and Lucy Baker drawn over it. The original image is of Detective Lowry's office, where Lowry, on the right side of the image, is floating above an office chair in a reclined position with his feet up on his desk. He has an angry expression on his face. Behind the desk stands Detective Halligan with a worried expression, staring on at Lowry. In this piece, Lowry has been drawn over with Alfendi, and Halligan had been drawn over with Lucy, both with the same expressions. /.End ID.]
Katrielle has two outfits that are based on her father Professor Layton and her older sister Flora. It's nice to see that she has something like these to reference her family but Alfendi is clearly missing here. It would have been nice to see an Alfendi outfit for Katrielle to wear as that could've completed the whole Layton family outfit wise.
