PSA that Emmy is canonically Asian of some kind, at least partially. It's obscure, to be sure, and I don't expect everyone to automatically know it. But, uh, saying that she is Asian isn't a headcanon; specifying a country/region is.

i've seen lots of various race/ethnicity headcanons, but for emmy they aways seem to follow the same pattern, so...

I know it’s been said before but augh Shadow of the Batgirl is so good. it's one of the few Cass stories that gives her a community with other Asian people and I really appreciate that a lot. it felt like a thoughtful take on Cass for a lighter hearted story in a different continuity

I've been thinking a lot about the Cass <--> Helena swap (courtesy of my AU) and I think I might have to actually read JLE. In my head this could potentially be Cass's version of Helena's JL membership. I'd have to read it to see because Cass's vigilantism is a lot more isolated than Helena's in the AU by virtue of never really developing any ties to the Batfam when she first arrives.
