I HAVE SEEN THE FIRST FOUR EPS OF THE TDI REBOOT SEASON 2 AND I COME BEARING A THEORY SO SPOILERS BELOW

The hockey bros…one of them is going out like a hero and the other one is staying in the game long enough to become a villain. Specifically, Wayne gets the boot premerge and Raj throws his morals out the window to get revenge.

Why would Raj do such a thing?? Doesn’t he hate cheating just as much as Wayne??? Well, the bros seem to be all alone in the sentiment that cheaters never win. And I think screwing up by playing fair will be enough to get a majority vote on one of them.

But why Wayne over Raj? Well…what if Wayne stands up for himself and Raj during the elimination? What if he snitches on MK, Julia, and Bowie for cheating, expecting them to get disqualified? And worst of all…what if Chris doesn’t care? I can totally see Chris shrugging it off and saying he knew. Maybe he’ll say it makes for good TV. And since nobody likes a snitch, Wayne is out here.

Now, before we get to what happens to Raj, let’s just imagine what happens in the episode prior to the elimination. Yknow how Total Drama is with their early boots. They get a lot more focus than usual compared to the rest of the cast. So for Wayne, I can see him and Raj making some sort of game plan to dominate merge. How they’re going to get to the finale fair and square. And how they can’t even think about what would happen if they were apart. Maybe even during the challenge when Skunk Butt tries to cheat again, Wayne is all like “ME AND RAJI WOULD NEVER LET THIS SLIDE ON THE RINK!” or “bro you don’t even want to know what Raji’s like when he’s playing hard he’s worse than Juls”

But they’re split apart. The cheaters won. The coach is perfectly fine with cheating. Bowie is one of those cheaters. Raj’s whole view of the game is crumbling around him. And he snaps.

And he takes Wayne’s hat before he’s flown off…

…Raj came to play. But Rajesh came to win. And when the captain is out of commission, the alt’s gonna take over and play filthy.

And as for who’s left on Skunk Butt, let’s just assume Wayne is their third boot so we can take in all their reactions. Julia is confused. MK is lowkey scared. Ripper is highkey scared cause oh god this is what a real bully looks like. And Bowie is fucking terrified cause not only does he not know who to trust anymore, but the player who trusted him the most (yknow, his bf) now probably has his name at the top of the hitlist.

Long story short: Raj is a main antagonist waiting to happen and I wanna see my boy DEVOUR THE COMPETITION

Bowie had a Danganronpa phase. His favorite character was Kyoko because he related to her. Smartest person in the room, mysteriously cool, and wore a lot of purple. He also projected onto her a lot because Makoto was crushing on her. He thought Makoto was cute. Like a puppy.

So it’s only a matter of time until Bowie found the Makoto to his Kyoko in a less gruesome show about teenagers and social deduction

Day 7: Break the Tie, Not the Bond

For the final day of Rajbow Week, I would like to present a prediction for season 2. I've had this comic sketched for a while now. Like a month before I even started this blog. And now I think it's the perfect time to discuss just what I think will happen to Raj and Bowie during the island rematch...

Back when the reboot was being teased, screenshots of a flyer have been going around. It showed the new cast, a synopsis, and some hints as to what the challenges may be. And one hint jumped out at me: "New challenges will now be peppered with inspiration from disaster and horror movies..." Season 1 of the reboot had some disaster movie aspects. The catapults, the obstacle courses, the lava lake. But nothing really jumped out to me as "horror movies."

Soooo I figured they were saving that for season 2.

As much as we wanted season 2 to be an Action reboot, Terry confirmed on Twitter that it would still take place on the island. But what if they could still pay tribute to Action? Why not put the contestants through revamped versions of Action's movie-themed challenges? And what could be more scary than getting dressed up as a killer/monster and hunting down your competition in a dark forest?

It's kinda like the serial killer challenge from Action. But instead of one player who has to scare their teammates, it's everyone on a team who has to scare everyone on the opposite team. Pop up from behind the bushes, scare someone with a butcher's knife in the kitchen, bust down a cabin door, etc.

For the sake of this scenario, let's assume that Raj and Bowie are on the same team. And that their team lost.

And that they tied for the most votes.

And since there's no way for the rule of "the player with more immunity wins is safe" to be applicable in the team phase, Chris has to think on the fly to get one of them out in the most dramatic way possible.

The tiebreaker? Raj and Bowie have one minute to beat each other up. Whoever's costume looks more ruined by the end will be eliminated. And if they somehow tie again, then they're both out.

And the boys are obviously upset.

Raj, who was dressed like a slasher killer, doesn't want to hurt Bowie. He's a hockey jock. He can effortlessly leave someone with bruises or a missing tooth even when he doesn't think he's playing rough. Bowie, who was dressed like a vampire, doesn't see the point in the tiebreaker. If him and Raj don't want to fight, why can't their team just revote?

Chris says that this'll be great for the ratings and starts the timer.

Bowie didn't want to give Chris what he wanted. As much as he hated losing, he also realized how much it sucks to lose someone he cares about. He already lost his friend Emma. He was not going to botch it with the guy of his dreams.

But Raj...

...Raj really wants to win.

The prediction I'm about to drop is...insane. I admit it. Especially after seeing so many people headcanon/depict Rajbow as such a sweet and wholesome relationship. I'm not even sure if Fresh TV can get away with doing this. But with what little we have canonically with the ship so far, I see a dark direction it can go.

What if Raj's parents are homophobic?

What if Raj didn't want to come out at first because he was scared his parents would watch the show?

And what if he came out specifically while he and Wayne were falling down the mountain because he thought the cameras/mics wouldn't catch him?

Raj doesn't just want to come back and do better. He wants to win the million and move out. At the very least, he wants to make sure that kissing the love of his life in that tapioca shark pit was worth it. That he didn't just lose his parents' trust for a guy who didn't love him back.

Remember my Day 1 drawing? Yeah, Raj has been anxiously waiting for their first date to even happen.

And while Bowie doesn't want to admit why he's been holding off on that date he promised, Raj doesn't want to admit why he wants to win so badly. He doesn't want Bowie to think it's his fault or that their relationship is a problem. There's nothing wrong with Bowie, Raj thinks. He's perfect.

So...Bowie was tricked into a false sense of security. Raj slipped his cape off while they were busy kissing. How does Bowie feel to be blindsided by someone he thought he could trust?

He couldn't be prouder. The guy who tricked so many people last season ultimately got a taste of his own medicine. And so, the villain passes on his prized necklace to his protege.

Bowie would go to Raj’s to bring him some homemade soup and the medicine he needs to get better

Raj would go to the store, buy all the things he thinks will cure Bowie (canned soup, over the counter medicine, tissues, get well soon cards, etc), and rush over to deliver them to his house

Let’s start Rajbow Week off with…a bit of angst.

Day 1: Love Language (with a hint of Yearning)

I have a prediction for season 2: Bowie and Raj have yet to go on their first date. They’re waiting for Total Drama to be over for sure so they can really enjoy spending time with each other. But being away from each other has been eating away at them.

Raj is all for being openly friendly and bawling his eyes out when he’s moved. Every once in a while he glances at Bowie, imagining scenarios for their first date. Of course he wants to make it far this season and maybe even win it all. But sometimes he just wishes the game could be over so he can have the time of his life with the love of his life.

Meanwhile, Bowie isn’t exactly upfront with his emotions. Thoughts about a hot guy? He’d keep it brief and focus on the task at hand. Emotional time is always short for Bowie. But that doesn’t mean he has little to feel. He wants that first date just as bad as Raj. If not more.

One day, in a familiar spot in the forest, Bowie and Raj have a moment to themselves. Bowie has been so dead set at making it to the finale again. Never been done in Total Drama for someone to be a finalist twice so why not make history? But Raj senses that there’s more to it than just snatching extra crowns. Bowie retorts with his signature “it’s fine, I’m fine.” But Raj can sense that he’s lying. Bowie shakes his head and tells Raj to focus on the game. Did they have another challenge to do? Did they have an elimination to figure out? Are they even on the same team this season? Doesn’t matter.

What matters is that Bowie’s eyes are glistening. Not in the way that he looks at Raj dearly, no. There are tears welling up in Bowie’s eyes. He doesn’t want the cameras catching his ugly crying.

Raj reaches out with a simple yet meaningful gesture.

And so the boys have a heart-to-heart. Well, as much of an emotionally vulnerable talk as they’re willing to have when they’re being broadcasted for an international audience.

Bowie doesn’t want to mess things up. Several people see him as a threat or a traitor. And he screwed things up with the one person he thought would be a great friend outside the game. Raj is the last person on the island who really likes him for him. And if he drifts too far from the super cute hockey jock…was it even worth it to come back and win big again?

The boys walk back to the cabins, hands interlocked for the whole trip.

Day 3: High School Fantasy AU (AKA Rajbow and others from the reboot in The Owl House)

Somewhere in an alternate universe, Wawanakwa isn’t a summer camp in Canada. But a region of the Boiling Isles. And all the contestants are studying magic at Hexside.

Well…almost all of them. Wayne and Raj are wild witches wanted at large. They’ve both been cursed by a mysterious force, tainting their magic and transforming them into owl beasts. The bros have been living in the woods for who knows how long…

…and the most popular guy at school, a star athlete and prodigy in Abomination magic, just had to find a cure.
