TIL that there are already apps for scanning film negatives with the phone. I admit that maybe I've slept under a rock last couple of years.
And even more than one. I had to try one (and throw my old and useless scanner Epson v100 😑).
First I installed Filmbox by Photomyne. Some are okayish, others are worse. However they are charging some good money and straight to yearly subscription.

Thai app is only good if you want to save your old photos to upload to social media or your computer. I guess that's what happens when I tried a shortcut. They do not look good at all, in the real photos you can see detail, in the scanned version you lose detail and get that awkward grainy/blurry look. Found this old photo today of my 1987 (which I regret selling) from back in the day of non-digital Photos and scanned it with my App which does a great job fixing old paper photos and makes then digital with a host of great tools to enhance, crop, colour B&W etc. Also has Cloud Backup and sharing tools. Free for 7 days then $ 14.99 for 6 months charged to your apple account! Do you know of a free app that does the same or better?
