1, 20/21 for fight club and 2, 8, 12, 14/15, 22 for hlm {:

1 - The character everyone gets wrong

full disclosure i know nothing about the fight club community aside from what you put on my dash, but just going by what i know of fandoms i wouldn't be surprised if people just completely butcher Marla's character.

20 - A part of canon you found tedious or boring

i desperately need to rewatch the movie and finish the book... but i remember the scenes where men would stand on the porch of Narrator and Tyler's house in order to be accepted in and i thought it went on a bit too long. it wasn't a bad scene though

21 - A part of canon you think is overhyped

this isn't the movie's fault by any means it's more the internet's, but i've seen the fight club speech passed around so many times that by the time i actually watched the movie it had zero impact. again not the movie's fault at all, just a consequence of the internet passing around popular scenes

...Richard can't top because he's too busy being fucked by the narrative.

for a more serious answer i don't think Richard would have sex period. he doesn't really seem interested in anything more than doing his job. although if he did fuck he would... probably top? maybe? depending on the person? he'd bottom for Rasmus though 100%

12 - The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

Rasmus again, but also Barnes, Daniels and the Father. i think those three not really having much lore behind them is a shame, but it also gives a lot of room for personal interpretation which i think is a lot of fun for characters like that!

14/15 - That one thing you see in fics/fanart all the time

the same. handful of quotes regurgitated over and over. i'm sick of seeing Richard asking "do you like hurting other people"... he said more things. he ran his mouth a lot, actually.

22 - Your favorite part of canon that everyone ignores

the different outfits Richard wears! i think i've only seen one artist ever draw him in some of the outfits he wore in HLM2. in HLM1 he literally changes clothes less than Jacket, but in HLM2 he has a small wardrobe. some personal favorites are when he dresses up as the Son and Sharon (i know he Technically wasn't actually wearing Shanon's dress in the cutscene bc his weird mask head wasn't on her sprite, but it was in my heart.)

also Phantom was fun, i like how he kinda filled in for Richard. i like to believe they're friends, or at least good acquaintances
