I will forever be fascinated by people who actively wish they could return to their childhoods. It feels as if they come from a completely separate world.

I'm happy for them, though. To desire such a thing would mean there's something positive about it worth returning to. I would assume that's why someone would want to go back.

I hate hate hate hate how dog friendly everything is in the city now. Barring medical necessity, there is no reason to bring your dog to a restaurant, there is no reason to bring your dog to the grocery store, there is no reason to bring your dog to the nail salon. Dogs do not need to go everywhere you go why am I being forced to be around dogs all the time

dessie's main coworkers, jahzara and shiloh! probs not gonna do much w them but would like it to be known that they Do exist. lil more info abt them under da cut :V

jahzara works at the fish shop part time and is currently in uni for computer programming. they love spicy food, skirts with pockets, and any sort of crustacean. they own a tank full of shrimps and other various fish at home that they are very proud of!

shiloh (like des) works there full time. she loves men watching hockey, gossiping, and talking about coral reefs. she also makes music as a side hobby; they hope to be a fully fledged musician one day but they're content with where she's at right now.

they're also closer to each other than either of them are to dessie but both still consider it a good friend. the three of them tend to goof off a lot in their downtime (esp if the three of them are all somehow scheduled on the same day). they will also hang out outside of the store sometimes, usually just to get coffee together or go to the beach or something.

🚨EMERGENCY! PLEASE READ!🚨

Moataz @moatazart, Mariam, and baby Maria are set to make the dangerous journey from Gaza City in the north to Rafah in the south. From there, God willing, they will enter Egypt.

HOWEVER, the money they had allocated to procure shelter and food while in Egypt was utterly depleted by exploitative fees and hidden costs, which we break down in this post. Moataz speaks more on the situation in this post and on his own blog @moatazart, which we ask people to follow and boost. They have a fund going to raise the remaining money, but the fund only has a week and a half left before it closes! They are not even halfway to their goal!

Please share what you can with Moataz’s family so they can find safety and security in Egypt! They have no one in Egypt with whom they can stay and currently nowhere near enough money to secure shelter! After all they have survived, please don’t let this young family be left vulnerable! If they cannot procure food and shelter, they will be extremely vulnerable not only to the dangers of homelessness, but to groups and individuals who prey on refugees!

Safety for Gazan refugees does not end with leaving Gaza! If this campaign is not finished in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS, they will be homeless in Egypt! They are so close to a fresh start, please don’t let all the risks they are taking to find safety be for nothing!
