Judging by 7 of cups, Sid is kind of lost in the clouds. He lives in his dreams, but at the same time he doesn't know what he truly wants. He uses his dreams to escape reality. He could appear fine on the surface, but he is far from it inside. He could really miss the old days, miss his childhood. A bit of childishness, running from responsibilities, hiding his head in the sand.

Sid shows up here as 10 of wands, I'd say that he definetely feels like he's being pressured into taking this step. Not necessarily by Kathy, I mean it could be all kinds of social and cultural expectations too. It's a card of a someone who cares about people's perception. He isn't excited about marriage - to him it's something that is expected of him.

Kathy shows up here as 2 of cups and her position is quite clear and simple - she loves being with Sid. Page of wands kind of looks like a hockey player, right? It is a new opportunity, a foreigner. Seems like pens will acquire someone who's young, someone they will have great hopes for. Whether these hopes will come true does not really matter, because death is a dramatic transformation, I see it as an overhaul of the whole organization, something that cannot be fixed or even postponed. What is destined to die will die. I'm really sorry to see this :( The losses that comes with the death card are needed, but they are not as peaceful as losses that come with the world card. So expect pens to lose someone important, or someone who's loved dearly. I wouldn't rule out gms, head coaches and even Sid's closest friends leaving. The changes will feel like death, because it is death. But what comes after is Sun, and it should answer this question. I definitely see pens making the playoffs this year, but they need to go through a purifying fire first. Sun is life itself, sun is success and happiness, so everything will be great in the end. But notice how young the kid is in this card. I interpret it like this - the sun will shine on the the team that is young (lol) I expect young players replacing the older ones. So basically yes, pens will make the playoffs, but it will look like a completely different team than it is now.

The first card is wheel of fortune. When it shows up in a relationship spread it often means that it's a karmic relationship. It has an element of destiny and it makes a person feels like he's out of control, like he has no other choice but to bear his cross. Knowing Sid's character (or at least knowing him by how he's portrayed in the media) I assume that he doesn't like to feel out of control to put it mildly.

Ok, so... Ace of wands is a dick card for me, lol. In a good sense! It's like a liberated masculine (often sexual) energy, single minded focus and pursuit. It signifies a new beginning. 10 of wands is a heavy burden. It symbolizes stress, high pressure, having to handle several things at once. 10 of pentacles is abundance, thriving, security and family. It can also signify some relationship milestones.

My best guess is that there's some new thing, new project that really excites and inspires Geno, but he feels a bit overwhelmed with all the things on his plate, so he started to cut some fat. I'd say he just wants to focus on his family and some new mysterious thing. Also look at that 10 of pentacles card, it's a full family house 🥺 I bet Geno wants that badly. Short answer - yes, pens will win.

It will be an emotional rollercoaster in a good way. I'm glad to see 3 of pentacles, it means that pens will get their shit together, great card to see after their recent couple of games. Ace of pentacles - new resources and priorities. Basically pens will receive their new mojo. It's not a card of hard fought victory, but a card of gifts and fortune. Hockey gods will favour pens tomorrow (yay).

My own answer is - of course :) but let's see what tarot have to say.

Sid shows up here as 6 of wands. It's generally a card of success and well being, but it also a card of a winner. Sometimes it shows someone who got his way in a love triangle and resolved all conflicts in his favour. Other times this card shows a successful love confession. Either way the hearts were conquered!

Geno shows up here as 2 of cups. It's a card of trust, harmony and deep emotional connection. It's a card of a fruitful partnership (either romantic or professional), yin and yang. Long story short, Geno loves Sid, but he already told us that many times, so :) no surprises.

Between them is 9 of wands. It's a card of past situations that haunt us. It's defensiveness, distrust and distancing. It's also a card of resisting changes.

I pulled two clarifiers on that 9 of wands card. We got page of wands on Sid's side. I would call it 'unripe' or 'immature' passion. Basically it's a young guy, who enjoys attention. He's very open, charming and flirty but he isn't ready to commit. I'm not even going to lie lol it's a f*ckboy card (sorry Sid).

12/21/23 Pens vs Canes Will Pens Win? Tarot Card Reading

Short answer is - yes?.. no?..

it's complicated.

The Empress is the mother's card, it's love, blessings, abundance and harmony. The King of Pentacles is prosperity. It's the card of a provider and a protector. 5 of swords is the card of hostility.

The answer to the question would be a hard yes if it was just the first two cards, but that 5 of swords is really throwing me off. I would interpret The Empress as pens seeing fruits of their labor in tonight's game. We will see a gentle, kind, nurturing side of pens. King of pentacles is all about prosperity. It's a very positive card to receive, I think we will see many goals from pens and I think we will also see pens being protective of each other.

The five of swords is my least favorite card to receive. The only worse cards for me are the ten of swords and the tower. The five of swords is the card of bullying, violence and revenge. It's a nasty scandal, it's a dirty hit, it's a treachery. It's a group of five attacking a helpless victim. It's the card of a traumatic situation that will follow you even after it's all over. It's the only card that represents shame and dishonor. In the best case scenario it means a Pyrrhic victory, in the worst case scenario it means a tragic loss. It does not explicitly say which way it will play out for pens, but either way, there are no true victors in this.

I'm alarmed to see this card in a reading. I don't even want to assume what kind of event can occur to turn the first two cards into... that. It can be a truly ugly fight, or more like a senseless beating - like W*lson fighting some rookie. It can also be someone saying something horrific. Either way it seems like tonight pens will gain a new nemesis in canes. I just hope that the first two cards will soften the effects of the third card.

In the first spread I asked what's currently happening with the ban from IIHF's perspective. So the Emperor is authority, laws and limits. There is an authoritative figure that made the decision, and it was created on a state level above iihf's. Knight of swords is righteous anger, and it is directed at the emperor, look at how determined it is to overrule the emperor's decision. It tells me that regardless of iihf's official position, there's a lot of disagreements with the ban within the organization and even outright resistance. It definitely wants a quicker resolution to the issue, but the emperor's ranks higher, so it's not going to be very effective. Emperor is authoritarian and absolute power, unless it decides otherwise the ban will remain. 3 of cups is dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs.

Extended spread on IIHF's ban on Russia (from russian national hockey team perspective)

Judging by the empress in the first row, it's a very emotional subject from the Russian perspective. If the resistance in the first spread was coming from a place of dissatisfaction, boredom and stagnation, Russian hockey team is fighting for self realization, progress and growth. I would say Russians have a better chance to influence the Emperor than IIHF because the Empress is a major arcana, just like the Emperor.

Hey there!! When will rus team be allowed in international tournaments?

Hey there, thank you for the request! Sorry it took a while for me to respond, life has been a LOT, but I have some free time now and I want to start doing hockey readings again ☺️ to respond to your question - I did a reading on this some time back. Tarot is not very reliable when it comes to set dates and even years. But if I remember my interpretation correctly - sometime soon Russian team will have a chance to participate under neutral flag and they will refuse (maybe it even happened this year, but we don't know). Eventually they'll be able to participate in some tournaments, but in isolated circumstances, or maybe they'll be isolated (?) meaning some countries will refuse to play with them. It should all resolve completely by 2026, but main events and drama will play out in 2025. If you guys still interested I can do a new reading about it ☺️

12/13/23 Pens vs. Habs Will Pens Win? Tarot Reading

Short answer - 100% yes, pens will win.

I actually chuckled when I got these cards. The boys definitely got their mojo back after tonight's win. 9 of cups is the card of self realization, earthly pleasures and satisfaction. It often associates with pure joy, triumph and partying. It lets us relax and have fun. It also gives us protection from danger and misfortune.

Magician card is pure unstoppable power. It embodies a person who rules his own destiny and creates opportunities for himself out of thin air. It's the card of empowerment. He manifests whatever he focuses on and he can bend reality to his own whim.

The world card symbolizes completion and wholeness, harmony and perfection. It closes a cycle by birthing a new life. It's a happy conclusion. It's a new hope. It's solving a puzzle. It's everything falling into place.

The whole November I heard people talk about pens being a bit apathetic, a bit uptight, not taking chances, and playing safe. Well tomorrow it's not going to be the case AT ALL. Tomorrow we will likely see a very energetic and enthusiastic team. It's very likely they will play like a completely new team, because they will finally start tapping into their full potential. And they'll enjoy it and we will see them having fun. And we will see solutions to the struggles they had. Yeah I know :( but they are such a great team now and I'm so excited to see them play next season. Right after the death card we had the sun and it is such a powerful combo. And like... I totally read it wrong. Also I shouldn't rely on tarot when it comes to set dates and time intervals. And maybe as a fan there was somewhat of wishful thinking that came to play.
