So much love, and so much of fear at the same time, so hauntingly true, that it breaks me to pieces and yet there is still an urge to continue reading further... Letters to Melina, Franz Kafa | Understanding Haruki Murakami through the books that he read. "Your letters arrived today together, at noon, they aren't there to be read, but to be unfolded, to rest one's face on while losing one's mind." "You are the knife I turn inside myself; that is love." - Letters to Melina #cosyreads @vintagebooks #moodcommunity #bookishpost #bookphotography #harukimurakami #bookcommunity #bookstagram #bookflatlay #read #booksbooksbooks #artofvisuals @indiaview #existentialism #bookslover #creativemagazineindia #indiaphoconcept #bookrecs @official_photography @yourshot_india #clickshotindia #bookrecommendation #penguinvintageclassics #readingcommunity @aaknopf (at Delhi, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CbHsC4vvdkH/?utm_medium=tumblr

How does Haruki Murakami write the way he writes? I always have been intrigued and I am sure some of you have been as well. If you have ever been tranced by his writings, I'm sure that you will agree with me that is almost quite impossible to snap out of it. Remember Norwegian Wood or Men without Women or even better Kafka on the Shore? The trance that he weaves through his writing can only be replaced by another (his other work). So it took me 6 years to finally stop re-reading his books, and everytime I am left spell bound. So now I took it upon myself to understand Murakami, so I started with his interview, which in a big way lead me to nothing. Hmmm.. How do you understand a writer, and the only thing I could come up with is what the books he has ever read. So I started digging and digging and then not so much. It all lead me to Franz Kafa... Of course!! (Head palm) the hint was always around me .. So now I am about to start this wonderfull book The Castle by French Kafka. “I encountered Kafka’s work when I was 15 years old, the book was The Castle. It was a great big incredible book. It gave me a tremendous shock. The world Kafka described in that book was so real and so unreal at the same time that my heart and soul seemed torn into two pieces.” Murakami interviewed by Far Out Magazine, article by Literary Hub (lithub.com) #cosyreads @vintagebooks #moodcommunity #womanstreetphotographers #bizzaremagazine #harukimurakami #bookcommunity #bookstagram #indiagram #read #booksbooksbooks #artofvisuals @indiaview #igersindia #bookslover #creativemagazineindia #indiaphoconcept #franzkafka @official_photography @yourshot_india #clickshotindia #bookstagrammer #penguinvintageclassics #readingcommunity @aaknopf https://www.instagram.com/p/CaMcd41PCJe/?utm_medium=tumblr
