Peace Hero

The Peace Hero I admire is Risa Hontiveros. 

Hontiveros, who is known for her advocacy of Healthy Buhay at Hanapbuhay in the Senate, also has an extensive track record as a peace advocate. In 2005, she was one of the 27 Filipinas nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for their work in the Philippine peace movement.

As a lawmaker, Hontiveros co-sponsored the landmark Bangasamoro Organic Law and co-authored the Marawi Siege Victims Compensation Act, which seeks to provide compensation to Filipinos who lost their loved ones and property during the siege of Marawi.

According to Hontiveros, she will continue to champion legislation that will promote genuine peace and shared economic prosperity in the BARMM and in the entire country. This includes, she said, policies that will generate good jobs and improve the delivery of health and social services during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

My Three Most Important Rights

Human Rights guarantee people to satisfy their basic needs, such as food, expression, housing, safety and education. It protect people against abuse and slavery by those who are more powerful.

One of my most important rights includes under the article 10 of civil rights which is the Freedom of opinion and information. At this time of pandemic, information, facts, opinions and point of views are very important in the view of the Filipino citizens. They have to be updated from time to time on what are the important events or issue happening in the country. That is why media reporters and respective channels exist, not only for entertainment but also for delivering such important news and reports to the viewers on television, listeners to the radio and netizens on the social media. The performance of the government and the status of the Covid19 is the hottest news everyday and many opinions are received from the Filipinos either criticizing or applauding the issue. I think we indeed have a right in participating in such issues wherein our opinion really matter in order to improve the performance of the government in handling such issues. The saying always goes, there is always a room for improvement, and I think we are indeed part of that what so called room.

Second with my most important rights includes under the article 26 of social rights which is the Right to Education. As we all know, in the Philippine allocation proposed budget for 2021, the education sector rank first in the list. Education has been the main foundation of development especially with the children and students, as they were the pillar of development in our country someday or somehow. Each and everyone who are born as a Filipino citizen possessed this right to education as well as me, either enrolled in private or public school. If we talk about these two types of school, private encompasses a tuition fee and another miscellaneous fee, while public schools are scope of the government in paying such fees. Everyone is entitled to have education, but not just simply education, quality education as well for everyone.

Last and third with my most important rights includes under the article 24 of social rights which is the right to leisure and peace. I think all people deserved this kind of right, wherein they need a break on problematic issues and their personal problems. This is also very important to me because of the exhaustion I experienced, attending school works and family obligations inside our house. Not to mention the emptiness we may feel inside when we are alone and no one to talk to, this right exercised our right to feel alive again after a long and tiring day of our life. That is why day off and leave are also granted to employees, and weekends or vacation to the students.

What are the causes of climate change?What is one effect of climate change? Refers to extreme climate change due to rapid increase in emission of green house gases. Climate change is the long term condition of a place called climate.Gradual change in water and bsy in any place is called climate change.But in the last few years, this change has been happening very rapidly. Which on one side is becoming hot and winter is getting smaller. This change is happening more or less all over the world. This change is happening more due to humans. Humans are the main causes of climate change. Changes in climate generally occur slowly over many years. But climate change is taking place due to the frequent harvesting of trees and tha use of forests for forming or building houses. Reason: The causes of climate change are divided into two parts. 1. Natural 2. Human made Natural Reason: Many natural causes are responsible for climate change.Major in this is the moving of the deep lamps, volcanoes,ocean waves,the tilt of the Earth. Slide of the lamp: The great lamps that we are seeing today were made with the origin of this earth and due to swimming in the ocean and the flow of bayou it is constantly moving.This type of movement produces waves and bayou flow in the sea.This change causes climate change.In this way,the sliding of the great lamps continues even today. Volcanic eruptions: A volcanic eruption emits large amounts of various gases such as sulfurdi oxide, carbon dioxide, water, rinsing and ash into the atmosphere.The gases emitted from volcanic eruptions can affect the climate for a long time. The sudden cold that occurred in the summer of 1816 in England,America and Western European countries called"Killing Summer Frost",is attributed to the volcano in Indonesia in 1815. Sea Waves: The sea is a major part of the Climate.The sea is spread over 71 percent of the Earth.Seas contribute a lot in keeping the Climate balanced. There is a lot of carbon dioxide in the Sea. Changes in Sea waves cause Climate change. The sea absorbs two times the amount of Sunlight than the water and land. Climate change due to changes in Ocean currents. Tilt of the Earth: Earth is tilled in its chamber at an angle of 23:5 degrees. More tilt means more heat and more cold and less tilt means less amount of heat and common cold. This is how the Earth's inclination causes Climate change. Due to Humans: Cutting of Forest: Planting trees is very important to keep the air pure. The prevent Climate change,it is essential to save them. But man cuts the forests and gets many benefits through him.To wood cut from the forests is used in the work of building houses, burning food, making house hold items etc. Then after the forest is cleared,it is used for cultivation at that place or either builds houses in it. Green House Effect: The Earth receives energy from the sun, causing the Earth's surface to heat up. Some part of this energy is changed through the surface of the Earth and the Sea and then goes back in to the atmosphere. Gases such as carbon dioxide,methane,chloro-fluoro carbon spread to the upper layers of the atmosphere, raising the Earth's temperature. This is called the green house affect. Due to these gases, the temperature of the Earth is in creasing. Due to this, there will be a change in Climate and the seasonal cycle will change. Island such as Tuvalu and Kirbati in the Pacific Ocean are likely to be submerged by 2030. Carbon dioxide alone contributes 60 percent to the atmosphere. Earth's Climate is changing at a rapid pace, which is having an impact on human life as well and will continue to fall. The more the Climate is changing, the more it's balance is deteriorating, the more new diseases are getting in human from. Factory and Other Pollution: Factories contribute more in spreading pollution. The factory is considered to be the most polluting. Apart from this,arms are taken in polluters. Living around factories makes breathing difficult. Apart from this,there are many other reason that cause bye pollution.Due to air pollution,the heat  increases and the heat  also  changes  the Climate. One effect of Climate change:Effects on Human Health Climate change will also affect human health. According to the report of the World Health Organization,heat and heart related eliseases will increase due to the heat in the climate. Due to the impact of climate change on human health, a large population will be displaced which will be called"Environmental Refugees". More health problems will arise. It has been estimated that this carbon dioxide has been present in the atmosphere for more than a hundred years. The actions we are doing today will definitely have a negative impact on human health and on the hops of future generations. Climate change is a terrible problem. Climate change is an unresolved puzzle that the whole world is grappling with. Actually climate has an important place in human life. It is true that the climate has never been stable. Man's desire for blind development is the biggest hand behind climate change. Now the time has come for use to limit our demands and avoid becoming overly contentions. When necessary,cut down the tree and replace it with at least five three. Control of Climate, control the amount of different gases of nature and increase the amount of oxygen by running the program for conservation of trees and tree planting. Now in time we all open our eyes and understand our responsibility towards nature. By the way,it is not possible to completely undo the damage done to nature in these years. Humans needs to try around like- 1.Ban on deforestation. 2. Limited use of plastic items. 3. Afforestation. 4. Stop the emission of green house gases. 5. Excess use of re-use items. Along with these efforts, there is a need to bring awareness in the public,so that when we pass this nature on to the future generations,then the water becomes their drinkable,the land their habitable and their breath breathable. Standing in solidarity with my brother @dennyfrust24 (originally from Surabaya) in light of the Church and police station bombings yesterday. We had the blessing to visit the Peace Gong monument here in Palu. The large golden gong is located at a place called Taman Nusantara Peace Education, and depicts 5 recognized religions in Indonesia and outlines the provinces and districts of this island nation made up of 1200 islands. This gong is 1 of 5 in Indonesia and placed in high conflict areas. The Indonesia I have always loved and known has been one where people of so many ethnicities, religions and dialects coming together under the flag of 1 nation. Let us never let politics incite the root of the love we have for one another.
