Let's define art
You might have seen some worldwide celebrated artworks like “Mona Lisa”, “The Starry Night”, “The scream” and thought- you’re not intellectual enough to understand the art and relate to the core message of the work, let’s leave it for the great minds and the deep thinkers to unravel it. But no. Art is for anyone who wants to experience it. Songs you like, movies you watch, choreographies you’ve seen, crafts people make, a poem you tried to write, even a quilt that your grandma made- all of that and more is art. Art has been around for thousands of years and has evolved throughout the time based on geography, climate, resource availability and even individual choice. The biggest artists all around the globe did put their colors to magic under certain situations, trying to tell certain stories- but experiencing art is a totally different subject.
Understanding art is not equivalent to experiencing and feeling the emotions from it. Art is for anyone who wants to experience it. Art is anything that stirs emotion in you and it depends on your story, your shaping of life and who you are- when it comes to your take on the piece. If you take a group of people and show them an artwork, they’ll all have their individual diverse reactions to it. Different perceptions, different observations. Some might find it beautiful and some might just not. After all, everyone is entitled to their own preferences. If you don’t happen to like a sculpture that maybe your friend likes, it doesn’t devalue you or the sculpture. A part of the sculpture’s value comes from the reasoning why your friend admires it so much and you can always learn something new from it, have a fresh point of view.
Everyone reacts to art differently and has the potential to grow and learn from it. Art is a diverse range of human activity which opens a portal of personal experience for you to draw meaning from, according to your own insight and impression of it. The term art is really just a label.
Art is everywhere.
Art is existence.

Van Gogh 360 Review
Author’s Note: I recently went to the Bangalore edition of the Van Gogh 360 exhibit. I have not attended any other editions of the exhibit in any other cities. All of life is fodder, and I haven’t seen an exhaustive review that covered the content of the exhibit apart from practical details like dates and booking information, so here’s my brief review. Vincent Van Gogh died an artist’s death –…

Some lyrics from “Starry″ that make me go absolutely feral because yes:
you’ve carried me more than you’ll ever know
god, let my brushstrokes become interwoven / keep me alive, clarified, and unbroken / let me ascend into steady emotion / give me the strength against all my erosion
and when i see the skies / remind me what it's like to be / a person stuck in time / that's searching for identity
sitting on the threshold of eternity / drowning in your pain / burning in your brain / what's the use of trying if you can't be free / fading every day / on the threshold of eternity
i want to live again so i can stay
i can see it now / surrounded by loved ones / you painting your godson / i can see it now / your journey will inspire many other / sisters and brothers / hold on, vincent
are these the colors of my legacy? / when what's hanging on a wall / is the only thing that's left of me? / do the answers wait for us afar? / until death takes us up to a star?
what happens when we die? / the answer's in the sky / the dawn's no guarantee / but the sight of the starry night / the sight of the starry night / makes me free
they call you a madman, well so much the worse / you know that you're crazy, you know that you're cursed
and in it i see death / but death, death is nothing sad // you reap in broad daylight / the sun is high // the time is right / and everything is gold // because the sky is full of light / swirling in spirals bold and bright / and i've already won
we paint our destiny incessantly / so loud and unrefined / united in distaste we will embrace / the madness of the grind / or lose our minds
you have given me your drive // you make me feel alive // now all of my senses ignite // you are living art // your sunshine's on my heart // turning the dark into light
together we'll see both sunlight and storms / they're equally sacred to us
every step in new direction / waiting for the resurrection of the light / but even in the dark, the road is bright
in a cloudless atmosphere / after the fog has lifted / he’ll grow and persevere / ‘cause that’s the curse of the gifted
a moment, a glimpse of life / crawling on the floor / insanity's the fear / but that's what your room is for
this fracture inside / we can no longer hide / as our seam splits in this universe
no we don't always know the right way / but we're doing our best and our best is okay / and we're happy, brother / we're happy, and that's enough
BONUS:
before the flowers turned to dirt / before the distance and the hurt / we were stronger / together, we were stronger
the caged bird would want something morе / its melody called me / its lullaby struck mе to my core
my head is not chained to the ground / my own thoughts rebel against me now / no matter what we are, or where we go / theo, theo / tell me you believe there is something after all
have you seen the sights of paris at night? / they search for love in this cold city of light / calling far beyond, the darkness they trace / and all their beauty is unmasked in your face
