#patreon and stuff is an obvious choice but idk. I really dislike the pricetag and ‘professionalism’ associated with it

Is anyone else subscribed to any artists email lists? Do you like it? What do you dislike about it?
I’ve been following one artist who makes monthly / twice monthly email updates on her WIPs/less public finished pieces/commissions/future project plans for a couple years now. I really enjoy the ‘update delivered straight to my email’ vibe but the lack of possible engagement (can’t chat in comments/engage at all really) with a straight email is difficult. It’s pretty one sided I guess.
Something like patreon can do the same as an email but the whole signup / money associated with it is a barrier….
I just think I miss longer form content where I can really read / understand an artists process. Where I can see WIP’s, future projects, inspirations, plans, etc. Less curated or reliant on “trendy” audios or tags …
