It was always there in some fashion when she was out and about, but that was somewhat normal and it was much, much milder and shorter lived in those situations. Here, it was almost enough to make her feel sick to her stomach. An all to familiar anxiety was starting to tug at her chest and she chewed on her lower lip.

"I don't know, if I'm being honest. I'm not sure what the smarter option is here. I'm in the same boat as you, though... I don't think either of us are a big enough deal to be trailed... And I would hope someone after something would be smart enough to avoid people in pairs or groups... But still."

A hand moved and gently gripped Corbin's arm. It was a move meant to settle herself a bit more, and she did feel herself relax ever so slightly with the contact.

"How do you propose we deal with it? Or, if trying to lose them is the better option, should we just try to weave through a crowd? Go into a public building or something?"

🍒 - How many friends do you have on here?

Bro, haven't you realized it's just you and me? Wake up. This is a simulation! ...serious answer is it's hard to say. I'm always sorta quiet and distant with people and have an unfortunate penchant for burning bridges. If I was honest with myself, and ignoring that nagging I've got a lot.

But even then. Not too many? It's not something I can put a number to. A few people in the rpc I've met in person and hung out with. And there's a good few more I still want to meet and hang out with. Alas. Time, distance, and money.

In my heart, we've already had an IRL dnd session together. ;)

🥔 - What’s the dumbest mistake you’ve made in rp?

Sometimes it feels like the big egg on face moment is showing off too much enthusiasm when it isn't reciprocated. I did that a time or two in the past and the other person actually got annoyed with me. Oops. That, and sending an ooc/hc meme to someone that I'd sent in the past makes me feel pretty stupid.

All things considered I don't think I've done anything too stupid otherwise? Maybe I don't have enough self-awareness and a hater will emerge from the depths to send a reminding anon?

Unexpected was the right word for this. From such a soft, friendly gesture coming from such a grizzled mercenary type to the appreciation shown over a simple budding friendship between himself and his friend, this wasn't quite how he foresaw things possibly going.

"Seriously, it's no problem. Dunno why she likes hangin' around me so much, but hey, I guess that's what friends do, right?"

"Well, the girl barely has friends. When I found her, she was all alone, couldn't remember anythin'. Y'know, she deserves better." The mercenary crossed his arms, still trying to figure out where Chloe came from or how she lost her memories. It was definitely difficult if there was barely any clues about it either. "At least it's somethin' for her that things are gettin' better."

i posted this sometime ago for a little "lyrical" song but this i attached to the Raggedy Twins! i like writing them as the definition of "you can say 'i love you' to everybody", and people should use that phrase more often with more than just their partners. this, i believe, is a song they'd sing together in a duet because they would always sing duets. especially if performing, this is their song to stick to for a duet because it shows love!

i would include every oingo boingo song on here for Beetlejuice because this is... honestly one of the few songs where it REMINDS me of him. the song specifically reminds me of the cartoon version (and this album came out i think 4 years before the cartoon) solely because its... well, a party! everybody's dead! the Netherworld is one big hellscape of a weirdly fucked up party! nothing special about this one, but it just SCREAMS Beetlejuice to me, along with the rest of the band's releases.

okay, so Braelynn is one of the youngest Fables in Fabletown, and while she's very kind and honest, she is open to being used very easily. this song sorta shows that beginning relationship when she first starts meeting the big hitters in Fabletown that they're not what they seem to be, and are metaphorical sharks; they'll eat up anybody who doesn't know what they're doing.

and she ends up learning the hard way of how that happens.

so... there's something a little comical about this song. David's story (in the show, specifically) starts off with him living on a farm with his parents and younger sister. during his youth, he loses his mother to a sickness that COULD HAVE been prevented if his father let them take her to a hospital, and he doesn't. he grows up resenting his father and hates him for letting his own mother die, which results in his father disowning him the moment he walked out the door.

later on in the show, his sister and father even beg for him to stay when he returns, wishing to make amends. even after 30+ years of being away from home and being believed to be dead. this song hits home for him and his story, and his view on the world regarding what happened to him.

people only cared when he died that things started to come up, and it hurts a little for him.

♣️ It's really irritating when my interests shift and I'm in the in between stage where I'm trying to either enjoy my previous fixation (audiobooks for example) but they aren't hitting and I can't figure out what the new fixation is. It makes days unpleasant lmao. I'm currently here but I think music may be the one I'm cycling into for when I'm not writing.

Also though: I'm really excited!! My library has what's called a makerspace and it has 3d printers, a vinyl cutter, a t-shirt press, a sewing machine, and a bunch of other things. I love learning new things, so figuring out how all this stuff works is a dream come true! I'm so ready to get up there!

The fall was less than graceful. Were the witch wearing something other than pants and a coat it would have been far more degrading to boot, as if the loose dirt smeared over her and her clothes wasn’t enough. Too tired for this... too hungry!! Ellie groans as she pulls herself up into a sitting position, brushing a few specks from her face and wiping her eyes before she manages to look up. Someone there? Oh lucky, she doesn’t have to try anything stupid to get out!

“Eheh... yep, I don’t think I want to be in another one of these right now anyway. Sorry about that, mister.” Her tone attempts humor but there’s enough guilt and embarrassment to pull the witch back from her usual jovial and energetic mannerisms. “Just a second.” A moment is taken to adjust her dirtied coat, the tome she had dropped on impact clipping back on her belt before awkwardly she grasps onto the handle.

Upon being lifted she’d grab onto the edge of the grave, accepting any further assistance to get out and.... flop onto her back on the warm grassy yard. Right. She hadn’t miraculously recovered any of her energy from all the walking. And a lot just got spent then holding on to the spade.

“Today could really be going a lot better for me...! Thank you for your help, I was not watching where I was going... but it was pretty cool down there, heheh.”

very loud and very fast. before, she was always at high stress levels, wondering and panicking in the back of her mind with her thoughts. now, her own thoughts go too fast, even for her realization. and it's not always bad thoughts, but sometimes judgmental thoughts from one simple peek are enough to make her question things.

self-reflective and thoughtful. he is ALWAYS talking to himself and narrating his own actions when he does things. most of his talking is done in his own head, being a pretty informative introvert for himself. though, you'll never hear any of it. he takes as much as he can from different angles to draw his own conclusion, but you'll never hear any of his reflective thoughts unless you talk to him in conversation.
