Nothing keeps her company in her room but a view of pale skies, a notebook filled with her thoughts and dreams of a bird flying freely - just like how she'd like to be. One day she gets locked up with a soldier named Adam from the Reestablishment, headed by Warner, who wants to use her as a weapon. But as days goes by, she realizes there's more to her than just being a monster. With the help of Adam she develops from being The Reestablishment's fieldpiece to a fighter. Tahereh created a thrilling and adventurous novel with the perfect touch of romance. It empowered me as a girl that we can dare to be whatever we set our minds to.
