I think the preparation is starting. England are carrying on with certain older players, especially those likely to feature in this year’s T20 World Cup, and bringing in others that can learn from them.

I can see Eoin Morgan playing another 18 months to two years and then handing the one-day captaincy over to Jos Buttler in the build-up to the 2023 World Cup.

PRINTER SETUP
