kotone & junpei - i’ve drawn very little for them even tho they’re literally one of my favorite friendships in the entire franchise 😭 they make me laugh so hard and i love to imagine how chaotic they are together. i loved junpeis sl and how protective he is over her even as just a friend. it’s rare to find a good m/f friendship where romance isn’t forced on it (tho im sorry to anyone who wanted to romance junpei) and i think kotone and junpei are such cute & funny friends

junpei & shinji - i drew 1 single thing for this duo but it’s also really really funny to me. shinji rarely gets to be silly and i just think he’d be like junpei’s older brother. i laugh every time i play dancing and shinji just goes “you’re too damn loud junpei” because it makes the brother vision so clear. also junpei thinks shinji is a badass. also i like imagining junpei bothering shinji about everything and shinji going along with it. and just imagine for one second shinji doing some dumb shit with junpei and tell me u dont love this duo also

junpei/fuuka - SORRY for another junpei one but. and yall might get on me,,, but this ship is soo fucking cute omfg. i lowkey love it a lot. i didn’t see it before reload (and dancing) but ever since playing dancing into reload, they’ve really grown on me. their dances are so cute together and, with kotone’s guidance, i think junpei would be able to sweep fuuka off her feet… fuuka would cook for junpei and immediately kill him

yukari & aki - i know u said “don’t talk about as much” but i couldn’t not mention them. they’re like the angelic behalf of shinji&junpei. i’ve always felt like they preferred each others company out of the others. like i feel like they wouldn’t bother each other and would actually enjoy being around each other. + reload added some interactions/lines that i loved. time to bring up my brief moment of disappointment when yukari asks aki for help in a study session but he doesn’t get to answer </3

Just to throw in an akishinji thing that I think about a lot uhhh there’s this one interaction between them from the audio episode thingies that’s kind circled back recently where they’re talking during a storm and reminiscing on the past it’s very good has a lot of cute moments but one thing that really stood out to me is Shinji calls Akihiko a crybaby but like not in an insulting way, it’s clear that he means it very fondly. And then it’s Akihiko who gets defensive about it and seems to interpret it as a bad thing which is really interesting to me FOR SO MANY REASONS like first off

I think what Shinji loves most about Akihiko is his sincerity and his big heart and how he just always tries his best to do the right thing he just can’t help but be nice and Shinji just really latches into that cuz like. Hes just felt like shit and feels hes unworthy of love and compassion and tries so so hard to push Aki away so he can have a better life where Shinji doesn’t drag him down but. Akihiko doesn’t really pick up on those signals lol and he just always comes back every time and never stops loving Shinji with his whole heart it’s very annoying when you’re trying to disappear lol. Like he loves the sincerity and kindness so much he just doesn’t think he deserves it and it really confuses him when he’s at his lowest. But he never wants Aki to stop being so sweet not for one second and he really admires how Akihiko can just feel things much easier than Shinji can and how he cries a lot it’s very endearing

Meanwhile Akihiko is definitely struggling with toxic masculinity and some hardcore repression lol he interprets strength in a very literal way and therefore thinks that crying=weak and so he really doesn’t like the fact that he cries so easily and this is where we get to see some of that classic akishinji miscommunication cuz Shinji actually loves the fact that Akihiko is a crybaby but Akihiko, having some major autism swag, feels like he’s being insulted and it’s over something he’s most insecure about so like of course he’s gonna get defensive when he’s called a crybaby it completely wrecks his image as a Strong Man. And I just think that’s a really good detail just like sometimes when you know someone really well you’ll playfully tease and it can have a really big effect if you’re not careful and god these two just have so much genuine love for each other but are just both Going Through It and suck at communicating and this is definitely something they’re gonna need to work on lol

But yeah I think it’s easy to look at Shinji calling Aki a crybaby and think he’s being an ass or that he hates that side of Akihiko but it’s so far the opposite he’s just! An edgy guy with massive depression and is having very complicated feelings (such as Homosexuality) and sucks at words and needs to learn how to communicate better. And it’s very tragic the miscommunication here cuz it’s like dammit Aki stop being insecure and realize that Shinji loves you and in particular that part of you and realize you don’t have to repress anything and that true strength is letting yourself cry when you feel you need to! And dammit Shinji let yourself be loved and realize you’re worthy of it and get better at noticing when your actions are actually genuinely upsetting Akihiko cuz he’s not gonna stop reaching for you and he’s just gonna feel worse about himself!

Uh yeah anyways I’m not even kinda normal about them I literally never stop thinking about them my life is in shambles 😞

- this is a popular one but i feel like i haven’t said it in a while: minato & kotone being twins. they obviously look nothing alike canonically but i try to give them very similar features when i draw them (like their nose and mouth) as well as a little beauty mark by their lip

- i love aigis wearing kotone’s clothes. i usually draw this represented by aigis wearing pink to imply its not her own clothes (cuz we all know she normally loves a blue outfit) but i think it’s super cute to imagine. oh & in general i like to give aigis a lot of baggy casual clothes instead of her usual dresses and whatnot. i just like to picture all of sees fashion senses rubbing off on her in different ways

- yukari is scared of ghosts but not horror movies, while junpei doesn’t believe in ghosts but horror movies scare him. im not sure at all if horror is ever brought up honestly i can’t remember but i always thought it would be funny that yukari is so jumpy about ghosts but she’s unimpressed with horror movies, while junpei teases her about ghosts but then a horror movie will have him up scared for a week. trust, he stays denying it scared him

one thing ab me i love a damn height headcanon…

minato/kotone - both 5’5”

yukari - 5’6”

junpei - 6’0” (or 6’1” if im nice) i imagine junpei to be tall despite the fact he’s canonically like 5’8 or something?? it just never felt right to me that he’s Not lanky as hell

fuuka - 5’3”

aigis - 5’7” or 5’8” i like to picture aigis as decently tall but im not sure id ever have her push 6ft. i take into account that shes designed (in game) to look like a human girl but i also want to take into account that shes a weapon. so i imagine her height based on those two things.

mitsuru - 5’10” or 5’11” i usually lean toward 5’11” bc i just love the thought of mitsuru being very tall. i mentioned this once i think? but to me she looks like shes around the same height as junpei in p3d so ive viewed her as tall since then lmfao. (no matter what, she’ll never be shorter than akihiko to me. she’s either his height or taller)

akihiko - 5’9” im pretty sure this is his canon height but i think it fits him perfectly so ive never had the desire to change it

shinji - 6’2” or maybe 6’3” he looks shorter bc his posture sucks so bad but him being super tall has always helped me create a more “intimidating” stature for him than his canon height. i like to go for what helps a scary first impression (that quickly disappears once u realize hes actually really nice)

ken - 4’5” or however tall an 11 year old boy is. around arena, he’s 14 or something, so i’ll say 5’7” or maybe a bit taller? in p3d he expresses that he’d like to be tall like shinji is, so maybe i can be nice to him and let him be 5’8” or even a little bit taller than that.

I unfortunately don’t think I have the dialogue screenshot anywhere but right before Aigis takes her first school exam if you talk to her and Ken in the commons Aigis mentions trying really hard to study and Ken mentions he’s been keeping and eye on her and he’s really worried about how she’s gonna do which is really fucking adorable and also just the implication that Ken is helping her study is so funny like. I’m imagining either Ken just offering to help because he just likes aigis and he really wants her to do good, or Aigis realizing she needs help studying and instead of asking anyone in her year group or the upperclassmen she’s just like. Ken, this elementary schooler, he is the most qualified teacher yes yes. Unfortunately for both of them she does very bad but SHES TRYING SO HARD OKAY 😭

So yeah I like to imagine Ken and Aigis being very close Ken is mesmerized by arms canons and dog talking abilities Aigis is fascinated by featherman lore it’s very cute 🥰

Ken grows to be over 6'0 feet tall. When he gets taller than Junpei and Akihiko, Junpei makes them all take a photo together.

Also, gaining a Persona gave Koro a much longer lifespan (not comparable to a human's but still longer than the average dog).

ken having a growth spurt is actually something ive thought about before too omg. idk how tall u imagine junpei but i always knock junpei up to 6’0 as well (he just has lanky vibes) & while i never personally thought ken would get to junpei’s height, aki is only 5’9 so i think ken could easily become a bit taller than him. if im remembering their dancing convo right, i do think aki would be rly proud of ken’s growth but theres no way hes not a tiny bit jealous that the little guy is suddenly taller than him …

+ i love this hc. against my understanding of dog lifespans, koro will simply live forever. i dont think anyone can even begin to imagine the Pain of having to accept him dying for any reason LMFAOO idc what the drawing, fanfic, whatever is about, koro will live… hes timeless… no angst between the characters would ever be as painful as their dog dying

I am very invested in the P3 x soul eater au even if I have not seen soul eater

unfortunately i didn’t plan it as far as an actual plot goes. i basically just assigned whether or not they were weapons or meisters and moved on with my day 😭

if u dont know soul eater, the simplest way i can explain is that there’s meisters (ppl who use weapons) and demon weapons (ppl who are weapons). & theyre usually partners.

the way i had partners set up was:

minato/ryoji + kotone/aigis + junpei/fuuka + yukari/mitsuru + akihiko/shinjiro + ken/koromaru

yeah it’s hard to yap about this when i never had an actual storyline in my head 😭 basically how i chose the actual weapon form they take was i picked what weapons the characters already use in the game. so, even tho akihiko uses boxing gloves, shinjiro is an axe. yukari uses a bow, but mitsuru is a fencing sword, etc. i could’ve made shinjiro & mitsuru be knuckle dusters & a bow respectively, but i didn’t see the fun in it tbh. i thought it could be cool to see them learn to use what their partner is comfortable transforming into ✌️

except fuuka. she was kicking my ass trying to decide what she’d be, so i just pictured fuuka would be the one weapon catering to ppls preferences. so, partners w junpei, she’s just a sword or a baseball bat or smth + koromaru is the same. w ken, he’s a lance… as much as i thought about & laughed at ken, small child, running around with a knife that happens to also be his dog best friend, i figured it wouldnt work out…

lastly, ryoji is a scythe & aigis is a gun. kotone using a machine gun is an important part of this au. not for any particular reason i just think its a little funny

i had stuff planned for ryoji to make him all special but honestly i think planning the au so intricately was what burnt me out 😭😭 opening the wiki to relearn anime lore i watched at like 11 years old and doing my research when all i wanted to do was draw akihiko with a big ass axe 💔

honestly this first came to me thru p3 dancing bc of a line mitsuru said. lowkey idk if i misheard her bc i don’t think ive heard her say it since, but i Thought she said something about them being alike (likely not them specifically, it was probably a general fever voice line she uses for everyone, but it popped during a yukari/akihiko fever) & it made me instantly realize that yukari and akihiko are actually pretty alike in a lot of ways.

but anyways that’s not what we’re here to talk about. we’re here to talk about headcanons…

- firstly i’ve always said this . transmasc yukari goes hand in hand with transmasc akihiko. not gonna rant about the intricacies of that, instead i’ll bring up that i feel like yukari would look up to him in a way. his confidence in himself would inspire her should i say. she envies his ability to not give af & just do what makes him happy. in turn, i feel like she’d be one of the only people he could go to for things he needs that the other guys wouldn’t have and she would just Get It.

- they’re The older brother/little sister dynamic of sees IN MY HEART. i’ve always felt like akihiko just has an older brother gravitational pull toward him he’s like a magnet that collects younger siblings. he does it without even thinking. this goes for all of his underclassmen, but in this case i specifically mean yukari (& ken).

- they gossip but akihiko doesn’t even know he’s gossiping. he just talks shit when he’s a bit exasperated and yukari listens, then she talks shit about what pissed her off that day and akihiko listens. they’re both popular so i feel like they just understand each others irritation on levels nobody else quite gets.

- since they’re both athletes, i actually like the idea of yukari joining him for workouts. she’s the only one who can keep up, besides aigis. + she’d yap so much while they do like. early morning jogs. akihiko probably didn’t like it at first, but ofc it grew on him. that’s his little sister so

- they both wake up early as hell. prob how they started to bond in the first place. dorm basically still dark and they’re both up doing their respective morning routines. yukari would lowkey put him on a skincare routine even tho she’s jealous how perfect he already looks (alternatively, akihiko secretly already has a skincare routine to keep up his appearance and yukari is delighted to learn about it)

- they’re both superstitious so i feel like yukari would love that someone will finally listen to her go on and on about horoscopes and whatnot & he’d actually be interested.

- since akihiko cares about his fashion sense, i think they could get along about that. and i bring up ken reading a fashion magazine in reload so i can say fashion is something they all care about collectively. akihiko Will accompany ken and yukari on mall trips and he Will enjoy it. that’s his little sister and their younger brother who also happens to sometimes be akihiko’s son sooo
