We’re back!! My friend gave me this little beauty that she found at a Goodwill, falling apart on the shelf. What little glue is left in the spine is rapidly cracking and crumbling off, and the pages are very browned. I’m so glad she thought of me when she saw it, and I’m excited to share it with y’all!

This has so many of my favorite traits in a cookbook. Lithographed illustrations depicting cooking methods and gimmicky accessories, novel uses (as we’ll charitably say lol) for unusual cuts of meat, a few recipes from out of left field that actually sound like they’ve got legs… lookin at you, “Pickle on a Stick” 👀💕
And just because it’s falling apart doesn’t mean it isn’t worth keeping. This is a great candidate, IMO, as a tester to try some different methods of scanning and archiving complete books. I have far more books than I have pamphlets, and it can be hard to decide what out of an entire book I want to post. So I’m looking for a way to upload the whole thing so y’all can see every weird and wonderful page 🥰
