Good morning) it was really sad evening yesterday and morning today for me since I understood that Oribe @oribecanales died at the age of 62. I wanted to write a lot about how I first heard his name, or how it was when I translated his interview for Russian audience and introduced him in press-release to Russian journalists whom in general didn’t know that photography happens not just after photographer and stylists shakes their hands and choose a beautiful model to pose for them as natural as she was born. Oribe was unique person and way much more than just a hair stylist. All his life he was seeking for perfection. Extremely glamorous, elegant and reach woman style but it should have been natural at the same time. And it was difficult for him to change his ideas and adapt to trashy grunge look after Marc Jacobs entered into his glorious moment. But the best of late 80-90s photography and fashion shows was his responsibility. He was a star himself. And a creator. He invented abnormal amount trick to color, style or fix hair or some stuff in it, so it would look exactly as camera likes it and designers desire it to be. He started the actual team hair styling practice at the backstage of fashion weeks. He was hugely gifted person. And he helped a lot of fashion celebrities to become who they are right now. Photographers, models, makeup artists, hair stylists, stylists. Editors. Even if not by direct support, but by achieving the most beautiful results working with them side by side. His talent was generous.
