I'm Sorry
Genre : Hogwarts!au
Theme : Angst
Pairing : Harin x N/A
Description : In the midst of a raging war, a boy who made all the wrong choices turned away from the chaos in search of a mirror that could reveal the deepest desire of a person's heart.
Tumblr media
He knew very well that time was running out, yet he still ran as fast as his legs could take him for what felt like an eternity. Passing through almost every known corridor, he could finally feel shame and guilt creeping onto his heart as the stone walls around him stared at him accusingly.
He could hear them mocking him at the back of his head. Coward, there goes the coward.
The place he once called home was nothing but a fragment of old bittersweet memories. After all, he didn't belong there anymore.
He tried his best to drown out the curses that were being thrown about from behind him and ignore the hot searing pain that was coming from his left forearm. He wanted to be strong like how he dreamed of being when he was younger, even if it was only just for this short moment.
He kept running in search of a place that was hidden in plain sight, and as the chaos behind him began to grow fainter, he was sure that he was heading towards the right direction.
It was getting darker, he could barely see anything clearly anymore.
So with a whisper, he breathed out,
“Lumos”
From the tip of his wand, light illuminated the darkness around him, revealing a door a few steps in front of him which led to the very place that he was searching for this whole time.
With heavy yet hasty steps, he approached the dusty wooden door. As far as he knew, it had been awhile since the place was last visited by anyone, and it was evident just by looking at the rusty lock on the door.
Pointing his wand at the lock, he casted a non-verbal unlocking charm. Click.
The door creaked open as he placed his hand on it, giving it a gentle push. What he saw in front of him was an empty classroom, or so most people would think and not give a second thought about it.
This was the place where you could find the most desperate desire of a person's heart by looking back into your own pitiful reflection.
This was where the Mirror of Erised was kept.
Taking in a deep breath, he closed his eyes and let his legs take him to where the mirror stood. As he was walking, his mind turned into a sea of memories. An overwhelming wave of regret washed over him as each memory floated around like a lost boat with a broken compass.
Once his footsteps came to a stop, it meant that the mirror was in front of him and that he could finally open his eyes but he hesitated. He had a feeling that what he would be seeing would crush him inside and he was scared. He was terrified.
However again, time wasn't on his side so whether he liked it or not, he had to face the mirror. With that, he opened his eyes.
He saw himself.
He saw a boy who was lost, a boy who had made all the wrong decisions, a boy who broke too many promises.
His physical appearance wasn't any better. His raven-coloured hair almost looked completely gray due to the dust and debris that had fallen around him, his clothes were all tattered and torn, and his once flawless face was covered with scars and dried up blood. All evidence of the battle that was raging outside.
Pulling away from his own reflection, he noticed that he was no longer alone in the mirror as four pairs of eyes were staring back at his own.
They belonged to his-
No, he couldn't possibly call them his friends now, could he? After everything he had done to them?
As his vision began to cloud with tears, he heard someone calling his name.
“Harin-hyung, why the long face? I thought you promised we were going to play a game of jelly bean roulette at the dorms later?”, said Giwook with a pout.
Harin hurriedly wiped his tears away with his sleeve and shifted his eyes to the image of the young metamorphmagus who was struggling to carry his sweets in his arms.
“I already bought 5 packs of Bertie Bott's during the last Hogsmeade trip! We're definitely not going to sleep tonight”, Giwook playfully bumped his rainbow-coloured head into Harin's back.
Even though he was well-aware that that wasn't the real Giwook, Harin still reached out his left hand to touch the spot where Giwook's image had previously bumped into his reflection's back. The feeling of melancholy enveloped his heart.
He couldn't take it anymore so he teared his gaze away from the younger boy but unfortunately as he did so, another person spoke.
“Woah, what's with the tears? Don't tell me you already watched the muggle movie without me!”
Not him. Why did it have to be him?
“Harin-ah, did you know I even borrowed this muggle contraption from the Muggle Studies Professor just for us to watch the movie? We just have to insert the round disk you found into this slot, and apparently images will start moving on its own, just like The Daily Prophet but with sounds! Aren't muggle wonders fascinating?”, Yonghoon-hyung exclaimed in excitement.
Harin surprised himself when he let out a chuckle at his hyung's rambling. But as soon as he realised what he did, his face instantly hardened.
How could he be happy when it was him who made his hyung suffer in the first place?
Frustrated at his hopeless stupidity, he curled his fingers into a fist and knocked hard on the mirror.
Fortunately, it didn't break but it did cause another person to speak up and that person was none other than-
“Hyungu..”, Harin's voice trembled under his breath.
“So I was thinking, maybe we could drop by Zonko's during the next hogsmeade trip? Mum owled me a pouch full of galleons for my birthday, can you believe it! Said it was better for me to pick out my own present but I bet she's just too lazy to go to Diagon Alley to go find one”, joked Hyungu who had his arm slung around Harin's shoulders in the mirror.
Kang Hyungu, was the first friend he ever made at Hogwarts. The story behind how they met was simple but sweet as the two had shared a compartment on the train and before any words were ever exchanged, chocolate frogs and pumpkin pasties were being passed back and forth between them first. From then on, they stuck by each other's side even though they were separated by their respective houses. They didn't let any house prejudice turn them against each other.
Their friendship ran deep. That is, until someone broke that trust. Harin could still picture the absolute horror and hurt he saw in his Hyungu's eyes when he did what he did. Not a day went by without him regretting everything that took place.
Harin let out a sigh. As much as he wanted this suffering to end, there was still one person left.
“Hi hyung, we missed you”, and upon hearing those soft gentle words, Harin's guilt began to overwhelm him. He tried to ignore the pain for as long as he could but it was getting unbearable.
Eventually, he crumpled to the ground and broke down into sobs. His hands were covering his face out of shame. His whole body was shaking.
“Harin-hyung, please don't cry”, the voice cooed.
“Dongmyeong-ah, I'm sorry, Hyung is really really sorry”, Harin managed to choke out.
“What are you sorry about? You didn't do anything wrong”, Dongmyeong smiled reassuringly. The sweetness from the younger boy's voice felt like honey to his ears.
It crushed his heart even more when he raised his head and saw that all four images of his old friends had crowded on the floor around his reflection and were looking at him in worry.
Harin knew exactly what he was doing when he left the battle to find the Mirror of Erised. He knew that they were going to lose and betraying them now would not be the best option. All he wanted was his last moments to be with the people he loved dearly and the mirror was the only way.
His friends were his deepest desire.
And..he truly missed them.

From Space
Genre : Alien!au
Theme : Slight fluff(?)
Pairing : Kanghyun(Onewe) X Reader
Description : Y/N accidently got pushed into the Earth's atmosphere and sent crashing into an unsuspecting Earth boy who was busy stargazing.
Tumblr media
“I don't know, what if someone catches us?”
As much as you enjoyed getting on your parent's nerves by going on your dangerous adventures without telling them beforehand, you knew very well that if you were to go on this one particular adventure with your dear twin cousins, you would not only have to deal with your parent's wrath but you would have to deal with the High Council's too.
After all, Earth had been out of bounds since eons ago. Anyone who dared to step foot on the planet, would be sent into exile without any hesitation.
There were many known theories as to why this rule existed in the first place, but nobody knew what the real reason was behind the need for it.
Tiny shivers ran down your spine at the thought of being exiled. From the stories you'd heard when you were little, exile didn't sound like a pleasant experience at all and because of that, you actually found it quite incredulous that your two younger cousins would even consider risking their lives just for the sake of-
“But Y/N, wouldn't it be cool to have Earth as our view while we play dodgeball? Like could you imagine just how beautiful that view would be..”
Those kids were going to be the bane of your life. However, they did have a point. Earth was truly a beautiful planet to anyone who had ever set their eyes on it and being close to it would definitely be an opportunity that would only happen once in a lifetime.
No. You really shouldn't.
Shaking your head as you placed both of your hands on your hip, you firmly told your cousins,
“As a responsible adult, I don't think we should”
You expected to see sad frowns on your cousins' faces but instead you were met with mischievous grins. Oh no..
Dongmyeong, the older of the two twins, kicked his feet off the ground and began to circle around you in a playful manner while Dongju, the younger twin, decided to float horizontally in front of you, propping his head with his hands while looking at you with the most innocent-looking expression.
“That's too bad..”, pouted Dongju.
“We'll just have to go near that forbidden planet without any responsible adult supervision then”, sulked Dongmyeong as his shoulders slowly drooped.
A look of exasperation was plastered all over your face. You wanted to reason with them again and maybe lecture them on the consequences of going near the Earth but before you could say anything, the most dramatic gasp interrupted you.
Dongmyeong who was busy circling you had suddenly stopped, his eyes widened in fake fear.
When did this kid become an actor, huh?
You mentally rolled your eyes, but gestured your hand at him begrudgingly, encouraging him to finish whatever nonsense he planned to say to convince you to change your mind about going near Earth.
“But what if something terrible happens to us, Dongju? There won't be any responsible adults there to save us from such tragedy!”, exclaimed Dongmyeong with utmost exaggeration, both of his hands were on his head.
“You wouldn't want that to happen, right Y/N?”
Dongju's question made you speechless because he was right. You wouldn't dare to let anything bad happen to your twin cousins. Not only were they like your own brothers, but Dongmyeong and Dongju were the crown princes of your home planet. It's true they were troublemakers but they still held some power in their name and status.
An irritated sigh escaped your lips. Your uncle and aunt would be seriously pissed if they knew you let the twins go off on their own.
“Fine, but we better be playing two metres away from the Earth's ozone layer”, you grumbled.
While both of your cousins were busy hollering in excitement, you were already making a move towards Earth.
“Hurry your butts up before anyone sees us”, you groaned in frustration.
-
Dodgeball wasn't a term native to your people. It was actually said to be derived from Earth. It was a game where players tried to throw balls and hit opponents, while avoiding being hit themselves.
The only difference was that people from your home planet would charge up ordinary rubber balls with some of their own energy and that meant that whoever got hit by a flaming ball of energy would be instantly thrown back by the huge impact and left with a stinging mark. Fun.
“Alright, here we are”, you said to your cousins who were following you from behind.
All three of you stood or rather floated in place as you marvelled at the planet in front of you.
Words could not possibly describe its heavenly beauty. Earth was truly an incredible wonder to the eyes. How could this be a forbidden planet?
“Y/N, look out!”, you turned around in confusion but unfortunately you weren't quick enough to realise that the ball Dongju had thrown was coming straight towards you at high speed.
It was too late.
As soon as the ball of energy touched a part of your abdomen, you were instantly thrown back by the huge impact, it was impossible for you to even divert your direction to anywhere else other than the planet behind you.
The faces of your twin cousins changed in absolute horror as they helplessly looked on at your figure slowly growing smaller and smaller, entering the Earth's atmosphere. They honestly couldn't do anything else to save you without endangering their own lives and because of that, they remained where they were.
-
“Why didn't you signal Y/N first that we were gonna start the game?”, Dongmyeong was the first to break away from the initial shock, his eyes widened in panic.
“What do you mean "signal", we always played dodgeball this way!”, shouted Dongju in frustration as he kept shaking his head in denial of what had just happened to you.
“..true”, mumbled Dongmyeong, letting his head drop.
The two princes fell into uneasy silence.
“We're doomed, aren't we?”
“Oh definitely..”
-
You were falling. You don't fall, you float but you were falling at that moment. When will the falling stop?
Maybe it was gravity that was pulling you down. You'd learnt about it in a lecture that Earth was the only planet that had this force that could pull you down towards the centre.
Despite being in a terrifying situation, you forced yourself to close your eyes, to let all the fear and panic inside you fade away. Hugging the energy ball tightly to your abdomen, you could feel a wave of peace washed over you.
“I really hope the landing's soft”
-
Life could be tiring sometimes without a doubt. That's why people have hobbies, to distract themselves, to find an escape from their routine.
Hyungu's no different.
His fascination with astronomy started way back when he was younger when he used to have intricate dreams about asteroids, stars, and just about everything related to the universe above.
When he got older, he never once missed an opportunity to go stargazing. Lucky for him, he'd stumbled across this lonely hill one night while taking a longer route back home during his first year of university.
The view from it was like no other. Hyungu would simply lie down on the plain grass and admire the map of stars twinkling above him. If he stayed a little longer, he might even catch a shooting star or two.
There was a whole universe out there, and he could only watch it from his tiny little planet. Even so, he was still happy because stargazing truly felt like an infinite bliss for him.
-
On the 24th of November, he decided to visit the hill to meet his twinkling companions. He was also hoping he'd come across a few shooting stars to make some wishes. It was, after all, his birthday.
The path he took had cherry blossom trees lined up all the way to the hill, but their branches were bare without a single pink flowery beauty on them as winter was slowly approaching. Wisps of the cold wind blew on his face, sending tiny shivers throughout Hyungu's body. He hugged his white parka tighter around him to keep himself warm.
He had expected the night to be freezing which was why he came prepared with a huge thermos filled with delicious homemade hot chocolate tucked away safely in his tote bag. The night's stargazing experience would be just wonderful, he was sure of it.
Taking slow careful steps up the hill, he could already see his stars welcoming him. Regulus was shining brighter than ever which made Hyungu smile dearly in adoration of his favourite star.
After finding his usual spot, Hyungu immediately plopped on the grass with a soft thud. When he looked up into the sky, he could see dozens of beautiful stars scattered all over, looking as though they were like freckles on a person's face.
He started to search for constellations that he could remember off the top of his head and with each success, he bumped his fist in the air in victory.
“I probably looked funny when I did that”, he chuckled to himself, his ears turning a faint shade of red. Thankfully, no one was there to witness it.
This went on for about a few minutes before something that was moving very fast caught Hyungu's attention from the corner of his eye. Turning his head sharply towards the source, excitement rose from inside of him.
A shooting star!
Normally, he would close his eyes and clasp his palms together as soon as he saw a shooting star to make a wish, but this time, he hesitated.
He noticed something odd about it.
Firstly, it was slightly bigger than an average shooting star. Secondly, it was glowing purple. The second part was what shocked Hyungu the most, he had to rub his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming. When did shooting stars become purple? Did he miss some kind of unforeseen phenomenon which caused them to change colours? Whatever it was, Hyungu was confused to say the least.
To make things even weirder, the shooting star had stopped moving halfway across the sky and was now directly in front of Hyungu's line of vision. It also seemed to be getting bigger and bigger as time passed by. Unfortunately, that's when he finally realised that the so-called shooting star was actually heading towards his direction, and it was moving fast.
Hyungu's eyes widened but he was frozen in place, too scared to move an inch from where he was. All he could do was shield his face with his padded arms, hoping that it would be enough to brace the impact.
He stood like that for a few minutes but when he heard nothing from the other side, he slowly removed his arms from his face. He really didn't expect to meet a pair of luminous gray eyes staring back into his own black ones, much less a whole person hovering above him.
Hyungu shared the same shocked look as the mysterious person. He didn't quite understand how this person could possibly be off the ground without having anything attached.
-
“What the-”, you whispered in confusion.
The fall took a while before it came to a stop. When it did, it didn't feel like you'd landed on something. Instead, you felt like you were still suspended in mid-air. Curious to know why, you slowly opened your eyes for the first time since you entered the Earth's atmosphere. Immediately, you were taken aback by the sight in front of you— or rather, below you because there was literally someone else, a boy, sitting on the ground below you. Before you could take a good look at him, you felt an invisible force push you in the back and send you crashing into the Earth boy.
His jaw hit your nose, and your forehead hit his.
The both of you were groaning in pain, lying a few feet away from each other after you had instinctively pushed yourself off of him upon impact.
“Well, that was certainly a soft landing”, you said sarcastically as you got up from the cold ground while still rubbing your nose bridge to relieve the pain. You even had to blink a few times to adjust your blurry vision to your new surroundings.
The flames of the ball that you were hugging all throughout your fall down to Earth had already been extinguished and it was now resting against the Earth boy's foot.
The Earth boy..
For a second there, you had forgotten all about him. You were a bit concerned though. Poor him probably didn't expect someone to crash into him from outer space.
With shy steps, you gingerly approached him. Just like you, he was also rubbing his nose bridge as he sat up from the ground and stretched out his legs. His eyes were closed too.
Once you were beside him, you crouched down to his level and lightly tapped his left shoulder twice.
-
Hyungu was trying so hard to ignore the pain on his nose but it felt like he had just been hit hard by some type of metal. He was busy rubbing it when suddenly, he felt two light taps on his shoulder.
Opening his eyes, he turned his head to his left and saw that the same mysterious person was smiling at him. Hyungu couldn't help but gape at this odd stranger's appearance. With hair of regal purple and eyes illuminating silver radiance, the person truly looked otherworldly.
So aliens don't really look like E.T.?
-
Behind your smile, you were feeling kind of awkward because the boy had stopped moving once he laid eyes on you.
Is this Earth boy broken or something?
Not sure what made you do it, but you decided to reach your finger out and poked his forehead with it. You were glad that it took him out of the trance that he was in. Now, you could finally try asking him some of the questions that had been bothering you since you arrived on Earth.
“Hi, do you know where I could borrow a bio-ship? I really need to go back home as soon as possible”, you asked the Earth boy politely, pointing a finger upwards towards the sky.
Unfortunately, you were met with silence.
“You do have bio-ships here on Earth, right? You know, the ones that are organic and make you look really cool when you take them for a spin”, you elaborated, assuming that maybe bio-ships went by another name on Earth and this Earth boy might be confused by that.
However, when he continued to give you confused expressions with no replies whatsoever, realisation finally hit you.
“Oh no no no, please no, it can't be”, you shook your head furiously, desperately trying to reassure yourself but failing in the process.
Grabbing the boy's padded shoulders and shaking them back and forth gently, you hoped that your assumptions were wrong when you asked him, “Do you understand what I'm saying?”
From confusion to concern, the Earth Boy replied back, but unfortunately, not a single word was understood by you. Whatever he said was too foreign to your ears, you couldn't even guess the meaning of anything he was trying to say to you.
You stood up from where you were crouching and moved a few steps away from the Earth boy. With your back facing him, you placed a hand on your chest and tried to calm yourself down with slow breaths. Panicking wouldn't help your situation, so the best you could do right now was to proceed with a clear mind. Maybe then, could you think of something that could help overcome this language barrier.
 -
This definitely was the weirdest encounter Hyungu had ever experienced in his whole life. Who would've thought that a shooting star that turned out to be an actual person would be talking to him in some kind of alien language right now.
Of course, he didn't know how to respond so he just kept quiet but the moment the mysterious space person started panicking and stood up from beside him, that's when Hyungu decided to pack his stuff as fast as he could and attempted to run away as quietly as possible. He had had enough of weird things happening to him in one night.
Tiptoeing down the hill, Hyungu kept looking back to make sure that the person was still there. Once he knew he was much further away from the hill, he slowed down his pace and leisurely strolled along the path that would take him back home to the dorms.
-
Did the Earth boy honestly think you didn't notice his retreating figure? His footsteps weren't as quiet as he probably thought they were.
While you were still unsure of what to do, you still followed him from behind because he might be the only one who could help you. Besides, there weren't any other Earth people around anyway.
You raked your brain to search for some solution. You could've sworn there was something you could do to learn a foreign language in an instant. There was a lesson around it when you took Earth Studies as an elective last year. You just had to remember what it was.
A low rumbling sound interrupted your thoughts. Clutching your stomach, you sighed in annoyance. It's been a few hours since you last ate or drank something. Moments later, another sound came from in front of you, this time it was a low gasp. You slowly raised your head to see that the Earth boy had finally realised that you were following him all this while. His eyes were wide open and his cheeks were tinted with a faint shade of red.
In a blink of an eye, he started to run. You were dumbfounded by his action but at that moment, something clicked in your mind and you began to chase after him.
“Wait, hold up! I need to do something”, you called out to him despite knowing that he couldn't understand anything you're saying.
He was fast but you were faster. When you heard the rustling of his clothing growing quieter, you took this chance to pick up your speed. Once he was already an arm's length away from you, you reached your right hand out and grabbed the sleeve of his padded clothing, causing him to halt.
You turned him around to face you. Not giving him any time to comprehend what was happening, you immediately landed a small peck on his rosy cheek. When you pulled away, the Earth boy blinked his eyes a few times before falling limp on the ground.
Hmm Earth people faint when we do that?
Even after you did that, you weren't completely sure if you had already absorbed the language of the Earth People. The only way to check was to wait for this Earth boy to wake up.
Folding your arms in annoyance, you began eyeing the bag that he was carrying. As if on cue, your stomach rumbled one more time. Touching your abdomen, you wondered if he had anything on him right now.
Isn't that stealing?
You shook your head reassuringly.
It's "borrowing"
Satisfied with your own logical reasoning, you took a step closer to the purple bag that was still slung on the Earth boy's left shoulder. You lifted his arm up and removed the bag, leaving his arm to fall back to the ground with a thud. You peered at his face for a second and saw that he was still unconscious.
“How long before he finally wakes up?”, you stifled a laugh.
Holding the bag in your hands, you began to rummage through it, searching for anything that could stop your stomach from making any more embarrassing sounds.
Eventually, you found something. It seemed like a mere metallic cylinder at first but when you shook it near your ear, you could hear some type of liquid swirling inside. Eager to know what it was, you unscrewed the lid and brought the brim closer to your nose. When you inhaled, a strong rich sweet-smelling scent greeted you.
Bringing the cylinder to your lips, you downed the chocolate-coloured liquid in one shot. You let out a happy sigh as you could feel the silky smooth texture of it against your throat. It was absolutely delicious, you had never tasted anything like it on your home planet. It was gone in an instant!
Setting the cylinder aside, you lazily turned your head towards the Earth boy's direction to see him staring back at you.
“Oh great, you're awake!”, you smiled at him.
“Did you finish all of that?”, he pouted, “I didn't even get to taste it and it's gone”.
“Aww I'm sorry about that”, you apologised while looking guiltily at the empty metallic cylinder.
“Oh no, it's okay- Wait a minute!”, he exclaimed halfway through his sentence, pointing a shaky finger at you. “I understand you!”
Your whole face suddenly lit up when you heard those words, “You do? You understand what I'm saying?”, you asked him excitedly.
The Earth boy nodded his head enthusiastically. He too, was smiling in excitement, though he wasn't exactly sure why.
“It worked, I can't believe it worked!”, you whispered to yourself in glee. Now, you're one step closer to finding a way back home.
The sound of someone clearing their throat echoed into your ears. You figured it came from the Earth boy so you just hummed back in response.
“I don't mean to offend, but are you..an alien?”
Upon hearing that, you turned your head sharply at him which caused him to look away shyly.
Tilting your head a bit, you shrugged, “Well if being an alien means I'm from up there then yes, I'm an alien”, you told him nonchalantly.
“Oh w-wow, that's uhm nice”, he stuttered back awkwardly while scratching the back of his ear.
Even though you're extremely curious to know what life was like on Earth, you had to abandon any thoughts of exploring it.
“Anyway, do you know where I could borrow a bio-ship or any type of spacecraft? I really need to get home”, you asked him in a serious manner.
The Earth boy repeatedly tapped a finger on his lips in concentration, trying to think of an answer. However, when he looked like he had one, he gave you an uncertain smile. You were a bit worried to listen to what he had in mind.
“There is a place which has those..”, he trailed off.
Why did it seem like there would be a 'but'?
“..but normal people can't just go there and borrow a spacecraft, it's government property”, he furrowed his eyebrow at you in empathy, “I'm sorry”
You felt your heart shatter into a million pieces. Assuming that this so-called government was like your home planet's High Council, there was no way you would ever be able to leave Earth any time soon. Heaving a sigh, you waved your hand dismissively at the Earth boy.
“No worries, I guess I'm stuck here for a while”, you mumbled defeatedly while raising your head up to look at the night sky. You hoped that your twin cousins were at least busy finding a way for you to get back home.
From the corner of your eye, you could see the Earth boy visibly contemplating on something.
“Uhm..do you have a place to stay?”
A low gasp escaped from your lips. You hadn't thought about that at all. “No, I've never been to Earth before, so I don't know anyone here”, you frowned deeply as you hugged your elbows. All of a sudden, you felt alone and you wanted to cry.
But then, you could hear a soft kind voice asking you in the most gentlest way, “Do you maybe want to stay at mine? It's actually a dorm with a few other people but I'm sure they won't mind it”
“I don't want to trouble you..”, you already felt bad for being such a burden to this young Earth boy.
“Trouble? Helping someone else who's in need isn't a trouble at all”, he beamed at you reassuringly.
You hesitated for a while before accepting his offer. Something about this Earth boy made you feel like he was someone you could trust.
Soon after, the two of you began heading towards the Earth boy's dorm, walking side-by-side each other. Your eyes were wandering everywhere the whole time, soaking in the beauty of Earth.
“I'm Hyungu by the way”
You stifled a laugh but quickly tried to hide it by covering your mouth with your hand.
Hyungu looked at you in confusion, not understanding why you thought his name was funny.
“Sorry, it's just that I've been calling you Earth boy in my head the whole time since I landed here”, you explained to him apologetically. You could feel the heat rushing to your cheeks so you looked away, hoping that he didn't notice it.
“I'm Y/N”, you told him.
“Aren't you cold, Y/N?”, he shivered as a cold breeze blew on their faces. Hyungu kept tugging at his parka to try and stay warm but he noticed that his new alien friend was completely unfazed by the freezing weather. In fact, he was bewildered when he first saw you because you weren't wearing any thick warm clothes.
“Nope”, you simply replied back.
He nodded and the both of you went back to walking silently beside each other.
At that moment, Hyungu finally accepted that he probably wasn't dreaming anymore.

Ring On My Ears (Pt. 2)
Genre : projectpartners!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Cya(Onewe) X Reader
Description : you were going to go to Giwook's apartment to do some planning for your art project. when he left you in his room to bring in some snacks, his phone went off. hearing his ringtone, you were extremely confused because you could've sworn you heard a really familiar voice coming from it.
Part 1 Part 2
You hopped off the bus with a heave as your black guitar case casually swung behind your back. Giwook's apartment building wasn't far from the busstop so you didn't mind the weight at all.
Scanning the stretch of buildings for the address he sent you through KaTalk the other night, you finally spotted the fairly new building and headed towards it. As your hand was reaching out to press the intercom signalling Giwook of your arrival, someone came out of the building. The person probably wasn't aware of your presence at the entrance because he immediately bumped into you, almost causing you to trip over some steps.
Thankfully, he was just in time to catch you and proceeded to apologise to you profusely. As he was apologetically bowing, you awkwardly straightened out your clothes before assuring him that it was okay.
When he looked up at you, he suddenly stopped bowing. Instead, he took a long glance at you. You were about to smack the creep's head into oblivion when he excitedly asked whether you were going to see 'that one college boy on the third floor'. You simply nodded. You didn't want to continue talking to this person.
“Well then, go ahead”, he gestured inside with his head as he held the door for you.
O..kay.
“No problem, anything for Cya's friend!”, you heard him shout as you entered the building.
You paused in your tracks. Rushing back to the entrance, your head turned from left to right searching for the person but unfortunately, he was already out of sight. Maybe he had gotten the wrong person cause you had absolutely no idea who this 'Kiya' was. Much less, be his friend.
Ignoring your odd encounter, you headed up to the third floor where Giwook was staying at. He had told you that he was living alone because of the college transfer so he warned you of the mess he called home.
A few hours later, you were in Giwook's room laying flat on his bed while he strummed some chords on his bass guitar. You were caught by surprise when you learnt that Giwook had a talent for producing. Thanks to his genius, the two of you were halfway done with the music samples for the different genres.
The sound of your grumbling stomach was the cue that both of you needed a break. Giwook, being the kind friend that he was, offered to bring some snacks from the kitchen. That left you alone in his room, rotting away in boredom.
You were mindlessly reaching for Giwook's bass guitar that was lying at the corner of the bed when you heard his phone go off. At first, you ignored it thinking that he might've heard it. However after a few more calls, he still hadn't entered the room to pick up the call. Hence, you decided not to let the other person on the line feel like they were being ignored so you answered the phone.
All the while when you were waiting for Giwook to pick up his phone, you couldn't help but notice a really familiar voice coming from his ringtone. It sounded almost identical to Giwook. The only difference was that the voice coming from the ringtone was a bit harsher than Giwook's soft-spoken one. But maybe, it was just in your head. That was what you assumed..until you heard the person on the other line speak.
You froze once you had picked up the call.
“Yah Cya, why were you ignoring my calls?”, a voice asked in fake hurt.
“Giwookie's probably tired of you”, another voice in the background humoured.
You could hear laughter and struggling from the other line.
“Anyway, what time are you guys done with your school project? You do remember that we have a performance at the Rolling Hall, right?”, the first person continued.
You stayed quiet throughout the whole conversation. You didn't know how to react so your thumb automatically pressed the end call button on the screen before the other person could say anything else.
After the call ended, you slumped your back against the wall behind you with Giwook's phone still in your hand as you stared at the door. He entered the room not long after with a plateful of fried chicken and two bottles of Coke. So that's why he took so long.
He, on the otherside, took notice of his phone that was in your possession.
“Y/N, why do you have my phone?”, he quirked his eyebrow at you as he didn't want to assume wrongly.
“It's nothing, just that apparently you have two names and that the creep I met when I came here knew I was your friend”, you monotonously replied to his question.
“Oh, and I think I heard your voice coming from your ringtone”
Your eyes followed him as he placed the snacks down on his table and began to pace around his room. He scrunched his nose in deep thought. Even amidst your confusion, you thought that was adorable.
Finally after much pacing around, he stood in front of you and took a deep breath before explaining.
From what you gathered, Giwook or rather Cya was part of a newly-redebuted band. He was in charge of the bass guitar and rap. The ringtone you heard was a song from their 1st single album, 'Ring On My Ears'. So, the voice you heard was really his. They were actually supposed to perform at this performance venue in Hongdae right after the two of you had wrapped up for the day that evening.
You held up your hand to stop him mid-explanation while looking at him incredulously.
“Then what are we still doing here?”
Giwook gaped at your sudden interruption.
“You have a band to meet up with”, you said hopping off his bed and dragging his arm towards the door.
“But- the chicken”
Was he really finding an excuse right now?
“Bring them chickens along”, you continued dragging him till you reached the venue.
The place was smaller than any other concert venues you'd seen but it was cozy. There was a neon sign in front that said 'Rolling Hall'. You awed as you took in everything while Giwook, who was still in your grasp, shyly scratched his head. Your eyes caught the banners that hung from the microphones. Onewe. That was probably the name of their band.
Your eyes moved to where the drummer was supposed to be and..
“You!”, you pointed accusingly at the person who was also pointing mockingly at you.
It was the guy from before. The weird creep that let you in the building. He was in Giwook's band. As you let your mind register that fact, the drummer placed his drumsticks down to come and greet you.
“This is Harin-hyung, he plays the drums”, Giwook introduced.
“Hey, didn't you say you had a cru-”, he unfortunately didn't get to finish the sentence as Giwook nudged him in the guts with his elbow.
Oblivious to what they were talking about, you just laughed at their silly exchange seeing both faces turn red in a millisecond. Giwook's from embarrassment, Harin's from pain.
Eventually, you decided to stay and watch Onewe perform. Just before they started, you waved at Giwook or Cya from your seat at the very back. He caught you waving but only smiled at the whole crowd. Oh right, professionalism.
Then came silence. The mini concert began when the blond guitarist strummed the first few chords. Starting off cooly alongside Harin's drumming, Cya took over rapping away the familiar verses you heard from his ringtone. They were performing 'Ring On My Ears'.
A few songs in, you noticed that the Giwook on stage wasn't that one quiet boy in your art class in college. He wasn't just your art project partner either. No. He was the charismastic, passionate bass guitarist, rapper, and producer of a band called 'Onewe' who just so happened to be your friend.
You let the thought sink in as you watched the band. It was during the performances, you finally noticed a pick-shaped earring hanging from Cya's left ear, glistening under the dimly-lit hall. You couldn't help but realise that the way it kept hitting against his ear truly reminded you of something familiar.

Books
Genre : strangers!au
Theme : mild fluff
Pairing : Kanghyun(Onewe) X Reader
Description : The Little Prince was a popular newly-released book and you can't seem to get your hands on it.
Tumblr media
“They're literally just words, Y/N”
Sadly, it's a recurring theme. Being told that books were just words. Nothing more. Nothing special. To which you would always shrug your shoulders dismissively or force a smile on your face.
You loved your friends. You really did but you just wished they'd open their hearts to reading books more. Unlike them, books meant a whole lot to you.
Books were apart of your memories with your dad when you were little. Every night before bed, he would read a book to you. Different books for different nights. And he never missed a single day. Even when he'd come home late.
The day you lost your dad in a car accident was the day you found solace in books. They reminded you of the happiest moments in your life when you had your dad beside you. Since his passing, your love for books only grew stronger. Whenever people saw you, you're sure to have your nose buried in a book.
Recently, you overheard some people in your Literature class talking about this new book that'd just been published— The Little Prince. Being the bookworm that you were, you naturally wanted to get your hands on the book.
Instead of buying books, you had to borrow them from the library because your dorm didn't have enough space. Besides, borrowing books saved you a ton of money and as a typical college student, that was the best option.
You planned on dropping by the library on one of the weekends when you weren't drowning in homework and presentations. You had checked online for the book and it turned out there was only one copy left available. Looking at the computer screen, you tapped your fingers nervously on the table. Hopefully, you would get there in time before anyone else did.
The weekends finally came and you were excited.
You checked your computer once again and thankfully, the book was still available. Breathing out a sigh of relief, you got yourself dressed in a simple black tee and jeans. You decided to skip breakfast entirely and headed out to catch the bus. The library was a bit far from your dorm so after alighting from the bus, you had to take a short trip on the subway.
After all that travelling, you arrived at the library. The place itself was like something out of Harry Potter. It wasn't the typical modern library. The bookshelves were all made of wood and the decor in the library had that sophisticated feel to them. You were always amazed whenever you visited the library. It was your happy place after all.
Once you were inside, you immediately disappeared into the shadows of the large bookshelves, searching for The Little Prince. What you thought would take a few minutes, turned out longer than expected. It wasn't because you couldn't find the section where the book was supposed to be. No, you found the exact spot. It's just that there was no book there.
Your dramatic self spent around thirty minutes staring blankly at the empty spot because you couldn't believe you were too late.
Beside you, someone cleared their throat. Snapping out of your sadness, you slowly turned your head to the person.
“Do you need help, Miss?”, a young librarian asked while giving you a weird look.
He looked at the empty spot on the bookshelf where your hand rested and something clicked in his mind.
“Ahh, were you trying to find The Little Prince?”, he placed the books he was carrying on one of the shelves and pointed his thumb behind him.
“Someone already checked it out a few minutes ago”, he gave you a kind smile.
Your eyebrows furrowed even deeper.
“Are there any other copies that I can borrow?”, you pleaded with the boy.
“I'm sorry Miss, we only have that one left”, he shook his head apologetically.
With the way your head was lowered and shoulders were slouched, anyone could tell you were visibly heartbroken. The young librarian stood awkwardly in front of you, without knowing what to do to comfort you.
After a few seconds of sulking, you crouched down to pick up your backpack and turned around to leave. That's when you heard the librarian calling out for you.
“Hey, Miss!”, he accidentally shouted out which caused him to cower his head as if to hide himself in case some other librarian heard him.
You raised an eyebrow at him.
“The book is due in three weeks' time”
Oh.
Your spirits lifted a bit.
Perfect. You just had to wait.
So for the whole three week's you waited patiently.
Sike.
Who were you kidding? You weren't patient at all.
Occasionally during the weekdays of those three weeks, you would randomly drop by to see if the book had been returned yet. Unfortunately, every visit turned out to be a failure. The only highlight was that the young librarian from the other day was the one who helped check the book out. Meaning, he had a glimpse of who borrowed the book.
Male. Blond hair. Lean build. Looked about your age but slightly taller.
This could be anyone but it was at least something to help you spot him.
When the three-week mark came, you were crossing your fingers. He might be there or he might not be. You just had to go and see for yourself.
Taking the same usual route to the library, you arrived in no time. Without even bothering to check the shelves again, you went straight to the librarian's desk upfront to ask if the book had been returned. Only when you got closer did you realise that there was already someone at the desk.
And that someone turned out to be a blond-haired male with a lean build and looked about your age but slightly taller than you.
He's the one. Tsk, slow reader.
You walked your way towards his side quietly. Unfortunately, he was too focused on whatever he was telling the young librarian that he didn't even notice your presence. But you, on the other hand, could hear their conversation clearly.
“Are you sure it's not possible to extend it?”, Blondie pleaded.
“No Sir, you can only borrow it for three weeks max”, the librarian calmly explained.
“But I really need more time with it”, he said with a slight pout.
“Not possible, Sir..rules are rules”
With that, Blondie heaved a sigh, “It's okay then..”
As he slowly walked away from the desk, you shifted yourself so that you were in front of the librarian.
“Oh hey Miss, you're back..again”, he chuckled.
“Well, you're in luck because..tada! The book's here”, he lifted The Little Prince off the desk and waved it around lightly.
“Hahaha thanks, could you help check it out for me real quick? I gotta be somewhere soon”, you scratched your head sheepishly.
“Sure, no problem”, he did what you asked while you stood there waiting.
“Your name, Miss?”, he looked up from the book with his pen hovering over the name card that was in it.
“Y/N”, you said while turning slightly to look behind you. He was still there.
“All right, there you go Miss..remember, it's due in three weeks' time”, he gave you a knowing smile.
Turning your attention back to the librarian, you gave him a polite smile and thanked him for the book before grabbing it off the desk and heading somewhere else.
While you were walking, you flipped open the book to look at the name card.
Hyungu. So that was his name.
You stopped walking once you saw his blond mop of hair. Tapping gently on his shoulder, you finally got to see his face clearly as he lifted his head up. A sense of familiarity hit you. You knew him from somewhere but you weren't so sure-
“Hyungu?”
“-uhh yeah, that's me?”, he gave you a surprised look.
He's probably confused as to why you were there.
“Um..I overheard that you needed the book for a little more time”, you stretched out your hands that was holding the book to him.
“I was actually waiting for the book since a few weeks' ago but thinking back now, I'm really not in any rush compared to you..w-which I assume you are in..a r-rush I mean”, you stumbled over your words as you stood awkwardly in front of him, trying to explain why you were giving the book to him.
He was surprised, to say the least. His cheeks reddened and he looked beyond flustered.
“Oh..um it's fine really”, he gingerly refused and pushed the book back to you.
But you insisted. And he gave in.
His hands held onto the book like it was precious and his eyes softened as they looked at you gratefully.
“I don't know how to repay yo- actually, let me buy you a coffee”, he offered kindly.
You felt like you were being asked out by someone but you shook away your ridiculous thought. Blondie just wanted to offer his thanks and here you were, daydreaming. Tsk.
Well, he was kinda cute..not gonna lie.
“I don't drink coffee-”
“-tea?”, he said a little too enthusiastically that made his eyes widened. His fingers fiddled with the loose strands of his purple sweater.
You pursed your lips trying to suppress your laughter before nodding your head.
“Yeah, tea sounds nice”

Dimples (pt.1)
Genre : crush!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Dongmyeong(Onewe) X Reader
Description : everyday you'd find a new note stuck on your table with compliments written on it. you tried figuring out who sent them but to no avail. your friend Dongju on the other hand, knew exactly what went on behind the scenes.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Saying that you loved school would be an overstatement. You didn't really hate it but you also didn't really like it. The only thing that you'd look forward to everyday would be seeing your bestfriend, Dongju.
Dongju and you had been attached to the hip since the very first week of high school. At first, he gave off the impression that he was cold. Completely unapproachable. People who didn't know him back then would think that he was glaring at them everytime their eyes met his. But, it was not long after they'd finally realise that Dongju was the total opposite of all that.
Imagine a teddy bear. A cute fuzzy teddy bear who loved doing aegyo. That'd be him right there. That'd be who Son Dongju was.
Now Dongju, he had a twin. His name was Dongmyeong. You weren't as close to him as you were with Dongju but if you saw him around in school, you would always wave at him.
You didn't understand though why he'd always look away the second he saw you. Maybe he was just shy.
Another Monday came and you were already wishing the day would end soon. You didn't even get to have breakfast because you were running late and had to catch the usual bus to school.
You found yourself dragging your legs slowly to class. Thankfully, you had your earphones in to block out anything that could ruin your morning. Your half-opened eyes wandered around the hallways as you saw students chatting away with their friends excitedly. If only you were that enthusiastic in the mornings, life would be much more cheerful. People who knew you knew not to approach you before the bell rang. They didn't want to face a pissed-off you.
As you walked up the staircase, you heard a muffled sound calling out your name.
Apparently, there was someone who didn't get the do-not-disturb memo. And you knew exactly who it was.
“Y/N!”, the voice screeched behind you causing you to cringe internally.
You took off a side of your earphones and sighed heavily before turning slowly to give the person your most annoyed face.
Son Dongju, you little-
“Damn, you're fast”, he laughed between pants with his right hand resting on his chest.
“Ha ha ha”, you responded sarcastically as your eyes rolled at him.
As usual, you really couldn't be annoyed at him for the whole day. So it wasn't long before your annoyed frown broke out into an annoyed smile.
You waited for him to reach the same steps as you before going to class together. Of course, you also had noticed his twin beside him. It wasn't hard to miss his dimpled shy smile that he tried so hard to hide whenever you were near him.
“Hi, Dongmyeong!”, you peeked your head out from beside Dongju while waving at the older twin.
“H-hey, Y/N”, he greeted back almost in a whisper with his eyes barely looking at you. You didn't find his gesture rude at all because you thought it was normal coming from a shy person.
When the three of you entered class, your eyes instantly caught sight of something that was sitting on your desk. Moving closer, you saw a blue sticky note.
You pulled your chair back to sit while staring questioningly at the note that you had already peeled off from your desk.
The day wouldn't shine as brightly without you in it :)
The note wasn't even signed so it left you wondering about the person who would leave you that note. You almost blushed at the compliment written on it but stopped when you realised— was it a prank? Did someone just randomly decide to mess with you?
You frowned slightly at the possibility before putting the note in your backpack. Dongju, who was sitting at the table beside you, cleared his throat to get your attention. You raised your head only to see him wiggling his eyebrows at you suggestively.
“Secret admirer, Y/N?”, he smirked.
You wanted to smack the wide grin off his annoying face but couldn't as the teacher had already entered the classroom. You turned back in your seat to face the teacher, but not before giving Dongju the finger.
What you and Dongju didn't notice was that there was someone else watching their whole exchange took place. The person could feel his heart beating rapidly against his chest as he placed his hand on it to calm it down. The tips of his ears reddened especially at the part where you flipped Dongju off. Throughout the whole lesson, he stole glances at you whenever his mind wandered away from the teacher. Everytime he did so, his dimples deepened as he let out a small smile.
[a/n]
hmm..i wonder who's watching the whole exchange between y/n and dongju

Soulmates
Genre : soulmate!au
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Harin(Onewe) X Reader
Description : people your age were thinking about who their soulmates were. you were more interested in a certain boy who already knew who his soulmate was.
Tumblr media
The concept of soulmates having their fates intertwined together by a common connection seemed like something out of a fairytale. Since your whole life, you had become accustomed to seeing people find their soulmates. Which always left you wondering, when were you going to stumble upon yours?
As if someone was listening in on your thoughts, your foot got caught in a pavement hole which sent you stumbling. You closed your eyes to brace the impact but it never came. Instead, an arm firmly curled itself around your waist and pulled you back to your feet. There was no need to turn around to know who this person was because as soon as you heard a strangely familiar laugh, you instantly knew it was your bestfriend, Ju Harin.
He slung an arm around your shoulders and slowed down his pace to match yours. He was towering over you so you had to look up to meet his face which annoyed you sometimes.
“Clumsy as usual”, he humoured while showing off his pearl white teeth.
You punched his arm lightly and shook your head at the insult.
You loved having Harin as your bestfriend because not only was he kind but he was also easygoing. Always managed to make any day better just by his witty and funny jokes.
Sometimes you wonder if there was ever a chance for your friendship to become more than it was if the world didn't depend on the idea of soulmates. People would be free to feel whatever they wanted towards whoever they wished to be with. That's the reason why to you, the concept of soulmates sucked.
It sucked even more because you knew Harin had already gotten glimpses of his soulmate while you only dreamt of homework and stress. On the inside, you were kind of jealous of the girl that would end up with him. Although, if it really was meant to be, then you promised to abandon any feelings you had for him.
“You would not believe what I dreamt about last night”, he told you excitedly.
“Is it about your soulmate?”, you teased him and wiggled your eyebrows suggestively.
Even though you didn't want to talk about soulmates, you felt bad dismissing Harin's excitement so you had no choice but to resist the painful throbbing in your heart.
“Yeah, I actually saw her face!”
Ah. It hurt.
“Well that's good, right! Now you could go meet her and hey, you could even ask her out on a date”, you masked your sadness with a smile.
“I'm a little nervous to reveal myself to her because she's someone I know”, he mumbled softly as an obvious shade of red crawled up his neck.
“You're lucky she's someone you know, mine's probably some creepy pervert”, you shuddered in disgust at the possibilty.
“Hahaha I really doubt that, Y/N”
“I'm just saying, there's a possibility”, you exclaimed without any hint of seriousness in your voice.
After that, the two of you just talked about random stuff till you reached the school buiding.
The rest of the day was boring. Everything waskill the usual routine. When you got home though, you had the greatest shocking news of your life.
Through a text message from your best friend, you got to know that he was going to ask his soulmate on a date. You were frustrated. He only saw her face once that day and now, he wanted to go out with her without taking his time to think over it. As much as you were happy for him finding his soulmate, you couldn't just ignore your feelings. You sunk your head into your pillow and that was how you spent your entire night, crying over a broken heart till you fell asleep.
Drums.
You jolted awake in the middle of the night. Sitting upright on your bed, you placed your hand on your forehead in confusion. Was that a glimpse of your soulmate? Whatever it was, you buried your face in your hands as you sobbed quietly. The last sign of hope that Harin was your soulmate was gone because..Harin didn't play drums.
You dreaded the moment you had to face Harin in the morning.
It wasn't making it easier for you when Harin kept on approaching you more than usual. He was an absolute nervewrack. He would stumble on his words and constantly shake his leg. He told you that he was honestly nervous and afraid the date wasn't going to go well. Giving him a gentle squeeze on the shoulder, you reassured him that whatever he had planned, you were sure that anybody would fall for him.
Like that, the rest of the day went by in a blur. You were trying hard not to think about Harin's date while he was busy panicking over it.
Once you were home, you immediately entered your room and plopped yourself on your single-sized bed. You were exhausted and drained but as soon as you heard a notification on your phone popped up, you rolled on your bed lazily and reached for your phone. Swiping the screen, you saw that you had a message from Harin. Glancing at the time, you were confused because he should already be on his date. Without thinking much, you read the message.
Hey Y/N, could you come over my house? I need some help preparing for the date :)
You typed furiously before clicking send. When that was done, you got up from your bed and grabbed your black hoodie that was hanging from a chair. Slipping it on, you left your apartment to go somewhere familiar with the image of your reply still in your head.
Sure, Harin :)
Knocking on his door, you hid your shaky hands in your pockets. Why were suddenly feeling nervous? It's not like it was your date-
The door clicked and opened to reveal your bestfriend, Ju Harin. Just like that, you were speechless. No words could truly describe how handsome he looked standing in front of you. He didn't need a suit and tie to look good. Cladded in a simple striped t-shirt and plain jeans, Ju Harin had completely taken your breath away by his charms.
“Uh Y/N?”
You unfroze yourself from your daydream. You could've sworn you saw a little smirk.
“You needed my help?”, you tried to sound cheerful.
“Mhm, could you put this blindfold on?”, he hummed as he unclenched his fist to reveal a black cloth.
Before you could question him, he explained that he wanted the date to be perfect so he wondered if you could stand in for his soulmate for a dry run of the date. Truthfully, you applauded his dedication to planning a perfect date even if you weren't his date. So in the end, you agreed.
You wanted to grab the blindfold and wear it yorself but Harin beat you to it. He shifted behind you and wrapped the black cloth around your eyes, tying it at the back. You felt yourself stiffened as his fingers brushed the your ears lightly. You mentally scolded yourself.
“Okay, I'm going to bring you somewhere now”, he whispered in your ear, his close proximity caused your cheeks to blush.
You couldn't see anything but you did feel Harin locking hands with you. You took in calm breaths.
It didn't take long before you finally stopped getting dragged by Harin.
“You can take them off now, Y/N”, he said.
Fumbling with the knot, you took the blindfold off your eyes. You had to blink a few times for your eyes to adjust to the surroundings.
When it did, time stood still. His normal living room now had beautiful fairylights hanging on the walls. The dining table at the side had vanilla-scented candles and a vase filled with baby's breath. The atmosphere of the whole living room was perfect for a chill yet romantic date. Your heart involuntarily clenched.
Harin, who was at your side, walked to the middle of the room. How you didn't notice it at first was a mystery but there it was, a drumset sitting in the middle. Your eyes shifted to Harin who had drumsticks in his hands.
“So here's the part where I tell you that I lied“
“Y/N, I didn't need your help with the date cause you are my date”
You didn't understand.
“Remember how I said she's someone I know? Did you ever think about the fact that the only girl I've ever talked to..is you?”
“Dammit, Y/N..you're my soulmate”
“I don't care if your soulmate isn't me, I just need you to know that I've been in love with you since the day you stood up for me against others”
Blinking your eyes, you felt a tear falling. You didn't realise you were crying this whole time. It all made sense now and you felt your heart warmed by Harin's confession. All that worrying and it turned out that Harin's been your soulmate all this time. And you were his.
You were overwhelmed by emotions but that didn't distract you from the sight of the drums. The only thing that didn't make sense to you. Why were drums in your dream?
“Ah, the drums”, Harin cheekily grinned.
“I kept it a secret because I didn't want you to think I'm lame”, he scratched his head with his drumsticks.
Wiping your tears from your eyes, you smiled softly at Harin, “You're absolutely amazing, Ju Harin”
His face reddened in an instant but he kept his composure. “Uh- so with everything planned, I think it's time for me to make you fall for me”, he shyly looked away from you.
Now, it was your turn to blush because that sounded really familiar as if someone he knew had said that to him the other day.

Memory (pt.1)
Genre : short story
Theme : fluff
Pairing : Kanghyun(Onewe) X Reader
Description : you had ended your friendship with your most trusted companion because of a dumb misunderstanding. for years, you had been regretting it and wanted everything to go back to how it was before. fate listened and granted your wishes in the form of banana milk and banana-coloured hair.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Tumblr media
Life will eventually become a memory.
You carelessly hummed along to Reminisce About All, a powerful ballad that recently caught you off guard thanks to the perfect combination of vocals and instruments that managed to tug on your emotions, without fail.
Onewe, was apparently what this particular rookie k-band went by. Cute and simple.
To be honest, you weren't familiar with the band's history yet the song had been playing in your head for weeks on end. You only had your friend-slash-colleague, Jaehyung, to thank. His constant tweeting at ungodly hours led you to the band's MelOn playlist. Thus, here you were, starting off your evening shift by mindlessly sweeping away at the white, unpolished tiles of your neighbourhood GS25 store whilst listening to Onewe's song. A routine that you had found yourself in for the past months.
Life hadn't always been as uneventful as your current situation.
“Yah, Kang Hyungu!”, you huffed in fake annoyance.
The said Kang Hyungu who was running a few metres ahead of you, had stolen your precious banana milk. He even had the audacity to stop mid-run just to give you the most smug look that he could muster before continuing on.
Idiot. Now people are gonna think they're watching Tom and Jerry in real life.
“Y/N, if you really wanted your banana milk back, you would've taken it by now”, he laughed.
“I'm sorry, I wasn't born with giraffe legs!“, you retorted, almost choking on your own breath. What you really needed was the gym. Dude was too athletic for you.
Upon hearing that, he halted.
“Yah! That was rude”, he had his hands on his hips, face full of sass, "I personally like to think of them as cute penguin feet".
Was he supposed to look offended? Cause all you saw was a pouty Pingu. Oh well.
“It made you stop, didn't it?”, you smirked.
You had finally caught up with him and snatched your precious baby back.
Silently sipping your banana milk, you looked up at him innocently.
“Smart and petite”, he ruffled your head in a teasing way, putting a coincedently long emphasis on the word, petite.
“Hmph, at least I'm not a giraffe”
His soft chuckle from that day still rang clear in your memories even to this evening shift.
You sighed.
Dwelling on memories won't bring them back, Y/N.
Your train of thought was suddenly interrupted by the chimes of the store's bell. Back to reality.
Jaehyung, being the most unbothered senior, had begged you to cover his shift at the register. He claimed that he heard the universe calling for him. As the mature junior that you were, it was safe to assume that this so-called "universe", was just his bed.
You were okay with it as long as it meant more pay for you.
Even the painful moments are memories.
Your eyes wandered aimlessly, wondering about the first customer who came in a few moments ago.
Did the person came from school? Work?
You were always the curious type because you believed that every person had a story and every story had the chance to create a future; be it good or bad.
You caught a glimpse of blond amongst the food aisles. It made you think of banana milk, your one true love. Next thing you knew, there were two bottles of it on the counter in front of you.
Huh-
The person cleared his throat.
"Ah, sorry. I was kinda in a daze", you meekly apologised.
"That'll be-"
Painful moments. Memories.
You couldn't breathe. You cursed at whoever thought of this sick prank. You weren't ready. You weren't brave enough to face him, yet here he was. Two bottles of banana milk in hand. A white electric guitar stayed slung over his shoulder. Breathe.
Kang-
He was the exact same. The only difference was, he wasn't your friend. Breathe.
Freaking-
Oh and his hair was blond, not black. Breathe.
Hyungu.
