2022 was such a great time to become a shawol 💎

#over the past (at the time) 14 years they’d put out SO much music #both as a group and as individuals #and minho’s dramas and films (i really need to watch more of them)#i had a whole year to catch up on everything they’d done before i found them #and i got to know jjong and get to a point in my grief where i can see him as a full person and not this sad thing to be avoided #and now jonghyun is one of the most important people i’ve ever had in my life #on another note #i got to see key release gasoline and killer #and minho in the fabulous #onew’s dice #and i got to find taemin and he has such a positive presence in my life #i had time to get to know and begin loving these five shining stars at my own pace #and in just a few months i’ll be getting my first tattoo and it’ll be for jjong <3 #and now taeminie is about to come home #and onew is about to release his first solo album #and there’s going to be a new SHINee album #life happens when it’s supposed to sometimes and i feel really glad that 2022 was when i was meant to find SHINee #bunny leader 🐰#my moon 💛🌙#space boy 🔑#choi tenderheart ❤️🔥#the one and only <3 #5 shining stars 💎

i think what kibum said about jinki honing in on his style as a soloist with circle is right on the money. circle is the kind of song i’ve DREAMED of him doing. it feels like an ONEW song. the same way that bad love is 100% a key song or criminal is a taemin song, for instance.

dice and blue are also distinctly him but more so as facets of who he is as an artist. they do an excellent job illustrating his frankly astonishing versatility. but, to me, circle feels all-encompassing and unquestionably lee jinki. also the name of the song/album is SO jinki. ◯! using a shape!!! brilliant and odd and striking!!!
