Hhhuugh so the reddit incident came and went but I know there's going to be a handful of twitter users that don't know jackshit about tumblr and are migrating here. Honestly it's valid that you all jumped ship because there's only going to be two outcomes to this:

-Muskratatouille is going to realise he fucked up and remove the rate limit.

- He refuses to admit his mistake and kills twitter.

So welcome! I hope you like my blog. Here's a revamp of some things you need to know before interacting with me and some general notes you need to know:

Massive porn bot problem here that can actually harass you and other users by sending porn through dm's and asks. Also shares malicious links to sites which is a big no-no. Therefore, PUT A DAMN PFP AND CUSTOMIZE YOUR BLOG, AND REBLOG POSTS. That's the only way to let people know that you're not a bot and that you're 100% a living breathing human. Lurking only works through reblogging without adding tags. (Side note: irl Hot lady pfps are not that great. Bots use them all the time. Anime hot lady is fine.)

Likes do jackshit. Tumblr is more of a blogging website than a social media platform. The way it circulates and brings attention to posts is by a sharing system called reblogging. If you really want to support artists, writers, game devs or just wanting your friends to see some funny posts, reblog it. (Reblogging artists work is not the same as reposting on this site. It helps us.)

Tags are your friends in this site. You can use them to navigate through content of your favorite subjects or you can add your thoughts to them. They can also help sort out your own original posts on your blog. (for example I use 'I ramble' on posts that have nothing to do with my fandoms.)

If you censor a word I will personally break your computer. You can say whatever the hell you want on this website and you won't get in trouble (unless it's hate speech, which you can report.)

Pt 2 of the above point: The reason why I'm so adamant on this point is because tumblr has a filter system. Users use this system to filter out content and tags that they don't want to see. This helps a lot for people with triggers and over all curating your online experience. By censoring words, you are bypassing these filters and doing more harm then good. Don't censor your words. If you want to use this feature go to settings and click on "content you see".

Pt 3. With that said, please please tag your posts if they have triggers or upsetting material. Whether you do dark content or not, it is important to tag your posts if they have a well known trigger.

There is no algorithm. You create it using tags. Your post going viral is a 50/50 gamble and you better hope it's a post that's actually great.

You can block anonymous askers since you need to use an account to send asks. Have fun.

Blocking users is much more effective. You can't see or interact with their posts and vice versa. Go wild.

Hello everyone, I need your help getting rid of someone that's been harassing people (myself included).

This is the person in question and I need your help to get rid of them and stopping any future harassment.

Even if you're not in the Black Clover fandom, I would appreciate a moment for your time to read this. For a bit of context, if you haven't seen Black Clover, the main ship in the show is Astelle (Asta x Noelle). In the show, Noelle has a massive crush on Asta (think Amity to Luz/Marinette to Adrien/Hinata to Naruto/etc, etc). It's pretty clear that Astelle will be canon but sometimes canon doesn't matter and people ship different things. Now onto this whole shit show.

Harassing in DMs

To start off, they're basically every shade of bigot. My moots and I have gotten really nasty DMs from dailyasnoel and I'm going to censor them because there's pretty bad slurs in them.

The first one was sent to me and the second one was sent to @the-geek-librarian

We're both in a server and everyone in this server (nearly 15 of us) have been blocked. Keep in mind, not a single one of us had ever interacted with them in our lives. We've all tagged our posts properly and haven't said a single negative thing about Astelle or their blog. They went out of their way to send us these DMs with very hateful slurs all because we don't want the same fictional teenagers kissing.

Harassing others

This isn't even the first time that dailyasnoel has gone after people simply for just shipping Noelle with another character. These two, ramiliadoesstuff and kcuf-ad have also posted about been harassed.

Along with that, there is now a ship week for Kahonoelle (a femslash ship involving Noelle) being run by moot @t-f-t (Alex) and this was the response to the original post (a post that was tagged properly and no malice towards anyone) announcing this.

This could've just been the end of it but they felt the need to send an ask to Alex expressing their disgust because there's people who don't want the same fictional teenagers kissing.

Then there's this lovely comment on that post.

Guess who's going to be extremely annoying during Kahonoelle week. (BTW, wouldn't it be really funny if we got them off the internet before their shit ass Astelle week).

Fanfiction

This harassment isn't just on tumblr either, it's on AO3 too.

I scrolled through the Yunoelle (Yuno x Noelle) tag on AO3 and the comments on some of these fanfictions are so vile. There's so many hate comments and I didn't even screenshot all of them because there's so many of them.

I found comments left by people with the username "dailyasnoel" and other guest users with different usernames that make similar comments to dailyasnoel because I assume it's the same person.

While scrolling the Yunoelle tag, I noticed that there's people who have started limited their comment section, have deleted comments with responses like "dude, calm down," or have made their fanfictions private.

And even as a little side note, I want to make it clear that I was able to look at every single Yunoelle fanfiction on AO3 because it's not even a popular ship. There's only 31 fanfictions for them so a lot of these fanfictions are written by the same authors. On the other hand, Astelle has been consistently the most popular ship in the fandom and even has the most fanfictions. So it's not even like Astelle fans are hurting for fanfictions or that Yunoelle fans are invading their spaces.

The actual blog

The icing on this queerphobic, harassing, racist cake is that they're an art thief. Their blog only has art and all of it is from other people. There's no indication these are reposts, there's no signs that they got permission to repost these, nor any links to the original posters. (original art links > 1/2/3)

If you know nothing about Black Clover or the fandom, I want to make this abundantly clear, this is behavior is unacceptable. This fandom has been very peaceful as of late and this one person does not speak for Astelle fans in the slightest. The Astelle fans I've interacted with are quite lovely, and if Asta or Noelle or Tabata (the creator) saw this, they'd be disgusted.

Whether or not you're in the Black Clover fandom is irrelevant. This is a horrible person and art thief, please report and block this person. Together, we can get rid of this person.

@dailyasnoel I know you have me blocked but if you happen to read this, I want you to know that if this small part of you that you show on the internet is even a modicum similar to how you behave in real life (joking or not), you are going to live a very sad and lonely life.

I hope you enjoy your own company because no one will want to be your friend, no one will support you, and above all else, no one will mourn you. Your absence will be treated with nothing but joy and whimsy because you are a sad and pathetic parasitic monster.

okay so i want to say, that yes i'm an anti, but like i get that ao3 allows the works and i'm completely fine with that, ao3 was made to not censor the fans, and that's what shippers are using it for and i'm grateful for that. Just, some shippers have the other same mindset as me, if it's a minor ship, you don't tag it because the "relationship" tag is for the Main Ship, (like why go in the k/ance ship tag to find it as a side ship). And a ship does trigger me (i was the "k/eth" in the (1/2)

(2/2) “sh/eth” equation, but Not In A Good Way), but sometimes it’s a Gen fic, tagged as such, with side sh/eth. like it’s minor, maybe a few lines, but its still triggering. So, my question is, that even though it’s Fandom Common Curtesy not to tag minor ships in a fanfic, should age difference ships with a minor (such as sh/eth for example) be tagged, no matter if implied/a few lines in the fanfic?

What I mean about "i'm grateful for that" - i'm grateful that ao3 lets the shippers be uncensored. sorry fi that bit was comfusing i'm half asleep rn and trying to convey all my feelings before i forget them so the message was probably all mushed up i'm sorry - the anon with the two part message about tagging minor ships (minor as in not The Main Ship/Focus of the fanfic)

you’re fine. and listen: disliking, even hating, ships doesn’t make you what I call an ‘anti’. even hating ships on moral grounds doesn’t make you an ‘anti’. It’s actively setting out to create an environment that’s hostile to shippers of the ship you hate - by harassment, abuse, ‘vent’ posts in public spaces intended to be spread around, etc - or encouraging that behavior that makes you an ‘anti’. (at least when I talk about anti-shipping this is the behavior I’m talking about.)

In my opinion, you are ‘a person who has a NOTP’. (and there’s nothing wrong with that.) I wish there was a way to distinguish but these days I’m not sure how you’d express ‘I loathe this ship but you do you’ differently.

anyway.

You’ve hit on a problem that AO3 has had since forever. some people tag every ship, even if it has one line of mention - but that can be frustrating for people who are looking for fics about a pairing that is often ‘on the side’ of another pairing. Other people don’t tag anything but the main ship - but that can be upsetting for people who encounter surprise NOTP in the background of an otherwise enjoyable fic.

I’d love to see AO3 come up with a solution for this by offering the option to designate a ‘main’ pairing, allowing people to tag all the ships that show up but still indicate which pairing(s) is/are getting attention in the story. (I understand this may be difficult to code.) But in the meantime, what do?

My suggested stop-gap would be to do the following:

tag only pairings that get significant amounts of attention in the fic.

in the summary or in an author’s note at the beginning of the fic, list the ‘side’ pairings that get a story mention.

This would allow people with NOTPs to avoid their notp when it appears as a side pairing, while people who are looking for fics about a pairing don’t encounter a million fics where their ship is only mentioned on the side.

If anyone else has any ideas for possible solutions, please do share in a reblog!
